Won't happen. It will become of one the best-selling PlayStation 4 titles, if not THE best-selling one.
If that happens I can only assume it would only be a matter of time before someone finds a way to traverse back to this dimension because there's no way that could happen here.So gaffers, what will happen if Final Fantasy 7 remake project fail to meet square enix's expectations? Or worse if it ends up making a loss. Will square enix still make further installments? Or will they pull the plug on project and let it go the way of half life 3.
Making new games like ff16 but not what you want. I am making this thread so my fellow gamers can prepare for such possibility and not end up too disappointed.
I'm not sure bud, havent seen the sales figures. Things are getting worse and worse in the UK on a daily basis. The country went into lockdown last night. I'd imagine the digital sales would have to be significantly be up to make up for the almost total loss of retail and peoples lack of cash (as they dont know when/if they will be paid while unable to work).
You were saying?DOOM Eternal breaks franchise record for opening weekend sales
DOOM Eternal broke the franchise record for opening weekend sales with double the launch revenue of the 2016-released DOOM, publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer id Software announced. It was …www.gematsu.com
The battle system is actually pretty deep and engaging. The enemies are only bullet sponges if you don't know how to utilize the tools to maximize your DPS.We can blame the uninspiring battle system and focus on bullet sponge enemies.
It will release on Xbox sooner?
We could move on and get some new games instead. Would be awesome.
FF XV was awesome indeed.Have you witnessed all their attempts at making "new games?"
I think upcoming releases should do fine or even better than predicted since more people have free time to play video games. We should be more worried about distant projects, because they may be delayed due to the virus. Even if a firm relies a lot on people working remotely there are still things that need to be done in person.Haha damn. I guess the question becomes is that because of the situation or in spite of it? Doom 2016 was a surprise hit and very well received. I guess we will have to see what a few more games sell to try and predict a trend.
Still brilliant news
Normally I'd agree with you, but look at what they did with the FFXV DLC, dropped it like a bad habit despite all of the resources and assets available to them. I mean, FFXV was the 4th highest selling FF game in the series, so it's not like the userbase wasn't there, so there is precedent. XV definitely didn't have the fanfare or the sales of FF7 though, so it's hard to say.Its not getting dropped, the next parts are gonna be cheaper and faster to make. Its the same reason they made 3 entries for FF13 even though the sales kept going lower and lower.
Oh, don't worry. It won't happen. It'll create a visual disparity (& affect the game world itself, i.e. not just better looking but larger areas, better AI, physics, gameplay etc.) between the beginning of the game... & the rest.
I'd imagine they make a fraction of the money from DLC that they do from new games even if it costs less to make and the director left the company.Normally I'd agree with you, but look at what they did with the FFXV DLC, dropped it like a bad habit despite all of the resources and assets available to them. Why do you expect that to happen? Squeenix's bad track record?but will actually turn out to be a crappy game

I'm in a similar boat - I took Squeenix off my "developers who can do no wrong" list around the mid 2000s. However, the demos of this game that I've played have been great, and seeing the developers talk about their love for this game and needing to do right by it gives me confidence.Yeah, haven't liked a Final Fantasy game since X, so it's been a while. Hoping it'll be good though of course, but I'm definitely not boarding the hype train with these Devs at the wheel.

Just the effort they put into the remade soundtrack alone is phenomenal.
