What's the dumbest thread you've ever made?

I just looked at my thread posting history, and I saw The happy thread. It made me cringe a bit, and it got me wondering. What is the dumbest thread everyone else has posted? I know some of you probably have some zingers.

So what's yours GAF?

I've had the little bit of aniexty as my unreplied thread fell to the depths. I've never had it make it there. I think it's more of an accomplishment to have a thread no one replies to lol.

i once almost made a thread calling out a gaffer for sending me hatemail to my youtube through his youtube account. i wrote up the thread, checked with a mod that i wouldnt be instabanned for calling someone out and then slept on it. in the morning i decided to just let it go and didn't post it. i later found out that the person i was going to accuse wasn't the right person.

so that would have been my dumbest thread, had i made it.
 
The ones about my personal life

GAF is good at putting things in perspective at least, so it's not all bad
 
I almost made one about why we let the sun tell us what to eat. Like, if I had a tuna sandwich for breakfast people would say "I can't eat that in the morning." Why? You like bacon in your dinner. Maybe I want Fettuccine Alfredo when I raise.
 
I had really high hopes for a thread I made about "dream casting". Basically take your favorite book or game or remake your favorite movie, but put in your favorite cast. I even put up a cast - I think it was for a remake of Lonesome Dove.

Ended up being less than a page of Dreamcast jokes and people telling me I'm fucking stupid. Probably my fault for using "dream" and "cast" together on a gaming forum.

I still think it's a good idea, I'm not sure what was up GAF's ass that day.

I almost made a thread about people who overnight decide to start acting like another race and if anyone else found that kind of annoying, but I thought I'd be attacked or at worst banned for it.

I didn't want people thinking I'm some kind of closet racist because I found it weird that my cousin went from a little princess loving white girl to black lipstick, painted on eyebrows, bandanna and baggy jeans wearing, Spanish-only speaking cholo girl in just a few weeks.
 
I made a thread asking for advise on how to appreciate Super Smash Bros as I had just rented it and was not "getting it"

I would have probably received less of a negative reaction if I had insulted every person who owned a Nintendo systems mothers....

Sp0rk banned me with the helpful comment of "ha ha"

Ironically did "get it" in the end and purchased the game lol
 
The first couple of posts of nearly all threads typically tend to be "witty" drive by posts, completely ignoring what the OP wrote, and replying only to the thread title.
Basically GAFs version of "First".

So brace for those when making a thread.
 
I made a thread complaining about a girl I met online who used the myspace angles to make herself look thin. She was not.

That thread got locked and rightfully so. I'm a dumb dumb.
 
I stopped making threads in the gaming section after one too many classix gaming threads were pretty much ignored and died before one page.

And then I got my thread making rights removed for making too many what people considered to be "SJW" threads in the OT :/

It's hard out there!

Is that true? haha, I'm so glad I keep the outrage threads to a very minimum.
 
A joke thread based on a really stupid question my girlfriend asked me about whether breathing in other people's farts made your farts smell identical.

I did it so I could demonstrate to her how ridiculous it was by showing her the reaction of internet people.

It kind of backfired though because I'm fairly sure some people on here thought I was genuinely asking the question myself.

God, that reminds me.

I did thread about Starz wanting to do an M-rated space opera show by the Spart guys. Sounded awesome! But no more news for over a year and I had forgotten it existed.

So I think Cornballer updated it with some news exactly to the day a year after I made the thread and I replied "wow, this sounds like a great idea - I'd watch this!"

I looked at the OP and shook my head. I had replied to myself basically.
 
I've been tempted to click that Post a new Thread a few times but decided against it. There is a good chance they would be examples to post here.

My Dad was going nuts about it as well. He kept referring me to the lone doctor that was in Airports wearing biohazard gear. Saying we need to buy tons of supplies, or we're all gonna die.
