When will you buy a Nintendo switch?

Gray

Tired of the gimmicks that Nintendo insists on and their ridiculous approach to accounts and online play.

If they announce an Animal Crossing though I will have to buy for the wife.

I skipped the Wii U so being able to play splatoon and mario kart 8 is a big draw for me, even though the online requires a subscription.

Undecided, might get Neon.

6. Pre-ordered (grey) but will probably cancel before launch. There's only one Switch game I really want to play in 2017, I don't want to pay $70 for a Pro controller, I don't want to pay for their ridiculous online system. I don't think Zelda alone can keep my hype train rolling.

Either this Black Friday or next, depending on if the Mario game makes it out this year. I won't pass up an insanely good deal in the meantime, but that's when I expect to anyway.

No desire to grab at launch, can play Zelda on Wii U. An enhanced Smash port could entice me but they need to walk it back on paying for their terrible excuse for online play.

It'll pretty much be either price cut or never for me. I bought a Wii U for cheap and, while I don't regret it, I haven't used it all that much either.

I think if there's ever a considerable discount on one then I'd consider picking it up but as of right now I'm not really considering the Switch for any time in the immediate future.

Of the models they've shown so far though, I'd definitely prefer the gray.

Probably never, barring ridiculous price drops or amazing exclusives.

Too expensive, not enough games, ridiculous peripheral prices, weak hardware and online that probably won't be worth paying for.

Mario Odyssey and BotW solidified a hopefully day one purchase.

First year at least. I mean I have done it for the last 4 Nintendo home consoles anyway. But this time I will actually buy some games for it...lol.

Bought a handful of N64 games...but they were damn expensive so there was that. Made sure to get Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

Barely bought GC games but I did at least get Mario and Zelda for it.

Bought a boatload of Wii games. Good times with it. Even if the motion control novelty wore of after a year or 2 it still have some of my fav games from last gen on there.

Bought a total of 2 for the Wii U: Lego City Undercover and Epic Mickey 2. I just wasnt feeling 3D World.

4. I don't have any interest in the Switch at this time. I will probably get one several years down the line, like I did with the Wii U. After the OG 3DS pricing fiasco, I no longer buy Nintendo hardware at launch.

I have a grey one my wife wanted me to preorder for myself and a neon blue / red one I preordered for her [in secret] for the inevitable Animal Crossing game that will be released and 2 machine coop. It helps we have a 2 year old and 4 year old that we'll be encouraging to play Mario Kart with us for 4 player matches.

1. I pre-ordered a gray one when they first became available on Amazon after the presentation. Gotta have the best possible Zelda experience.

I think, all I'm waiting on at the moment is a Mario Maker announcement. Then there will be

1) Splatoon 2
2) Mario Kart
3) Mario Odyssey
4) Mario Maker
5) Zelda

I skipped the WiiU so all these games are new to me.

It's going to have to launch to universal acclaim for me to get it anytime soon. I probably would have pre-ordered if not for the online subscription thing. Maintaining that on PS4 seems wasteful enough for me. I'm not going to add a third subscription.

3 and/or 4. Going into the event, I was expecting to get one for the holidays. I was looking forward to Nintendo being able to focus on a single device and improve their first party output, as well as meaningful 3rd party support(inc exclusives) because 3DS development would move there.

What I saw was not encouraging on either front, which puts me in the same situation I was in with the Wii U. Waiting until the exclusives are worth the price.

When Super Mario Odyssey comes out, probably I'll aso pick a couple of other games that will have came out by then, Super Bomberman R, Sonic Mania and maybe a few others(if they came out already).

Will be getting the grey ones, don't really like the color ones.

Honestly, the Glixel reaction podcast really put a damper on my Switch plans. It made me realize that the games I'd actually buy on the Switch are Zelda and then... literally nothing until Mario at the end of the year. I think I'm good with the Wii U version of Zelda.

Maybe in the next few weeks we'll know more about indie games and Virtual Console.

I'm waiting for the holiday season for a special color bundle. No matter what, I'm getting one this year. I'd just like to finish my PS4 backlog first (still have to beat Uncharted 4, Bloodborne DLC, DOOM, and Final Fantasy XV)

Since it is release the same day in Hong Kong and it is region free, probably on day one here. Worried about the organization and stocking there but no rush, I'm mostly interested by Mario Odyssey and... SMT5. I can wait if it is a pain to get one without pre-ordering.

1. So fucking hyped. Grey of course.

And my brother that's pushing 30 and has never bought a console has one preordered as well. Really hoping that that's telling of the system and he's not just a huge outlier.

1. Grey

Not buying any accessories just yet, but will probably pick up the Charging Grip at launch, and will pick up a Pro Controller at some point.
