Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
Years ago, they tried to position Christian Slater as a poor man's Nicholson. Not so much because of looks but because of acting style and mannerisms. Watch Heathers and you'll understand.

This was my first thought at the thread title. Back in the late 80's and 90's -everyone- was calling Slater a poor man's Nicholson. It was his tagline.

I always thought TV character actor Currie Graham was a poor man's Kevin Spacey.

The dude from blacklist, James Spader, is also a poor man's Kevin Spacey.

Edit: lol! So was the guy who bumped this thread having a wank and thought "oh, she looks like Sofia Coppola, let me revive that thread"?

Have we said Jesse Eisenberg is the poor mans Michael Cera yet?

It's the other way around tbh.

The dude from blacklist, James Spader, is also a poor man's Kevin Spacey.

Edit: lol! So was the guy who bumped this thread having a wank and thought "oh, she looks like Sofia Coppola, let me revive that thread"

Lol, actually it was the opposite. I was watching a clip from The Godfather III and thought, "Wow she (young Sofia Coppola) looks familiar." I racked my brain and realized it was Alexis Love, whose porn I haven't watched in years but I clearly whacked it to her enough in high school/college to remember the name.

I always thought it be really cool if Mark Whalberg, Matt Damon and John Cena collared on a movie of being 3 brothers of head of gang

is it just me or is like 90% of the posts missing the point of the thread?

Anyway Joel Kinnamon seems like he gets the scripts that Chris Pine passes on.

I don't think Nick Cage is particularly expensive these days. He just works non-stop. John Cusak is for when you need a bad actor but Nick Cage is already working on 5 other movies.

Neither Cage nor Cusack are bad actors though, both have given some real terrific performances, and Cusack rarely overacts like Cage does anyway, then again most actors don't overact like Cage does. The only thing that Cusack and Cage really have in common is that they've been in three films together now, and they both started out in teen roles.

Cusack has also admitted in interviews he had little interest in playing the Hollywood game, only doing films like Con Air and 2012 for a buck, just so he can help his own personal projects, whereas Cage has been more open that he always wanted to be a "big star".

Both Cage and Cusack have fallen on hard times (Cusack has slowed down recently, though), but they really aren't similar actors in general, I'd say.

When casting directors want an attractive blond Ryan Gosling type without any of the charm, they call Ben Foster.

I think Ben Foster is a terrific actor, and while Gosling is great himself, Foster has really proven himself to be a real chameleon in terms of roles, so I definitely can't say I agree.

Patrick Wilson looks more like Chris Patt or vice versa imo.
