No AA, currently doesn't work (half of the screen goes black.)

I'm not sure what the hell you did to those pngs, but they even bigger than they would be as bmps and 4 times the size as the one I resaved as a png.Angelus Errare said:
Then why did you quote them?Cobra84 said:I not sure what the hell you did to those pngs, but they even bigger than they would be as bmps and 4 times the size of as the one I resaved as a png.

Standard Res [640x480] (Upscaled)
High Res 1366x768 (4:3)
Comparison
However, Star Fox Assault is the best looking one in high res. In my opinion.
It runs both Cube & Wii.
But there is one thing to take out of this thread, there is no reason why Nintendo can't release a new revision of the Wii which outputs games at 720p and have it be perfectly compatible with the normal Wii.BrandNew said:gotcha. I just saw "wii 720p" and just jumped on the screens. Again, didn't really read anything else.
Wii games by itself might have AA, but you can set it in the emulator.infinityBCRT said:Do Wii games have AA? If not, then you are making Standard res look better than it actually is!
I know that, was just saying that his Metroid comparison between 480p vs. HD res should have made Wii look even worse because Wii isn't supposed to have AA.MNC said:Wii games by itself might have AA, but you can set it in the emulator.

infinityBCRT said:I think PS2's backwards compatibility allowed bilinear filtering and faster CD reads, but no higher res. 360's backwards compatibility adds AA, but no higher res again. PS3's backwards compatibility (when it existed) allowed upscaling which did make certain games look as if they were in a higher res (such as MGS3) but still not a true higher res option.
Thing is, its very cheap to up-res a game in emulation since most of the power required by an emulator comes from the CPU.

MNC said:Is there any filter on? Up the internal res? I'm throwing PS2 emulation at you, so I dunno
that's bilinear (bicubic at best) filtering for all the 2d art - your tv scaler should be able to do equally well.Anony said:yeah it looks better, the text looks like ass as suspected (the a)

Wow, what are you running?
Build, PC components, res?

(Sorry about the first shot, it's native res upscaled.)

Also true of Ghostbusters PS3.FoxSpirit said:I just wanted to add to this: it's often entirely possible that a game uses higher level 2D assets like textures than the console will output. When rerendered in HD this will come out. A great example would be FFXII, that game has some awesome texturework you'd never notice fully on the PS2.
Fixed.Sega1991 said:That's Rare, for you. Their art direction has never been spectacular but they're one of the most technically competent developers out there. They've been getting better about art direction, though (Viva Pinata, etc.)
But yeah. BG&E may not be quite as technically impressive but it kicks the shit out of Starfox Adventures in every department.
MNC said:Any conduit screens yet?
yeah. you could run it at higher frame rates in earlier versions (haven't tested lately) but it ran too fast when you did that.Basileus777 said:Is there no way to get the sound working in Wind Waker? The game looks incredible at max settings, but it's weird playing a silent Zelda game.
And the game is capped at 30 FPS right?
