Back to the old days:
So did Sony and they never included cable
One of these is probably correct.
I can confirm this is legit, by the way. We have a VPD account for our shop and there's been Wii U listings of this sort there for a while, but I don't remember there being three at these prices for sure.
My initial take on these:
$250: WiiU + GamePad ("Wii Upgrade Pack," no AV cord, Sensor bar, nor Wii controllers; besides, there's a sensor bar on the GamePad and it works with HDMI)
$300: WiiU + GamePad + Wiimote + Nunchuk + Cables (For those who don't have a Wii)
$350: WiiU + GamePad + NintendoLand + Wiimote + Nunchuk
there's not going to be any HDD option, mark my words.
its going to be standard nintendo fare: flash storage (maybe 8 or 16GB) with the option to increase it with SD cards or flash drives.
i'd like to think we're all being a bit too conservative with these predictions, im not too optimistic, one should never be with nintendo.
btw, does anyone know if rayman legends can be controlled with a sideways wii remote? did rayman origins on the wii control like that?
I've never thought about that. Could make sense considering how Nintendo approached the 3DS XL outside the US.
Yes it can, and yes so could Origins Wii.btw, does anyone know if rayman legends can be controlled with a sideways wii remote? did rayman origins on the wii control like that?

Wii U launching the same day as Paper Mario for Nintendo 3DS? Yeah, no. I don't think they'd cannibalize their sales that much.
This is Nintendo...

>_>Price is right but wouldn't be interested unless it was sub 100$ and even then it would be as a novelty.
Back to the old days:
It's a handheld game and they're launching a home console. The rationale that Paper Mario 3DS would keep Wii U from launching on any specific date always seemed like a really paper-thin rationale to me.

Flash drives and USB-connected external HDDs are pretty much the same thing, and they already confirmed you can use them anyway, so why not offer an official one in a bundle?
I'd even say 2.5", since they don't require an extra power brick.
Yes it can, and yes so could Origins Wii.

EDIT: It's a legit listing.
Show me when they have launched something for the console space and something for their handheld space on the exact same day? Even Super Mario 3D Land and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword were released on separate days. What is stopping them from releasing either Wii U or Paper Mario on November 18?
And they have ALWAYS had a flagship product for that year come out the Sunday before Black Friday.
And Lupin the Wolf, is that a screenshot that you took?
Having nothing for their magical date, the Sunday before Black Friday, is blasphemy though.Yes, I took that screenshot last night after I saw the Go Nintendo article. Was going to submit it to them but changed my mind (RMC's not always the best at going back and updating his stories).
I'm not saying Nintendo has a history of releasing hardware and handheld games simultaneously, I'm just not personally ruling it out like it's blasphemy or something.
249 wiimote
299 wii pad
349 nintendoland + wiipad
My guess.
Generations have nothing whatsoever to do with power. The Wii U will be next gen whether you like it or not.Not next gen. Stop calling it that. Mid gen is the right phrase.
Actually you may be spot-on.
Or maybe 299 is the one with Nintendoland and 349 the one with WiiRemote and ClassicController included in the box.

Basic: Console+Pad
Pro:Console+Pad+Pro controller
Family:Console+Pad+ 4 Wiimotes
All of them will have Nintendo land or none of them will.

All about the percieved value baby!family bundle being the most expensive one doesn't make much sense (from a marketing POV)
YIDS came out November 13, while Wii came out November 19. Elite Beat Agents came out November 6. This is saying PM:SS and Wii U on the same day. Yeah, no.Wii had murdered Yoshi's Island DS and Elite Beat Agents back in 2006. Same thing will happen again. But then again this is Mario, killing it will be hard.
1. Wii U Basic (Wii U Pad, Nintendoland)
2. Wii U Pro (Wii U Pad, Nintendoland, Wiimote+Nunchuck, Pro Controller)
3. Wii U Elite (Wii U Pad, Nintendoland, Wiimote+Nunchuck, Pro Controller, 80 GB Flash)
Mark my words.
Also, why would Nintendo want to cut into its supplies by having three different SKUs? Aren't they having manufacturing issues right now?
