Recently after i got the xbox series S i was disappointed in knowing that that they have rescinded the support for window 10 remote play from the Xbox Series Consoles.

However, i have found a workaround.

For people who don't know microsoft are developing an app for windows that combines Xcloud and the remote play features, however the app is still in beta and requires the user to be registered to the xCloud beta which ended in September or be a developer for the access to the app.

However thanks to the internet and reddit i stumbled upon this:

Holy Shit! This worked, I followed these steps

1. Go to https://store.rg-adguard.net/ and add this URL: https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/p/xbox-game-streaming-test-app/9nzbpvpnldgm?activetab=pivotverviewtab
2. grabbed the file: Microsoft.XboxGameStreaming-ContentTest_1.2011.301.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle
3. Enabled Sideloading in security settings and installed the above app
4. Launched the app, selected Series X and profit!

For anyone having an issue with installing the app just right click on the downloaded file and then press on install.

haven't used PC remote play in a long time on Xbox.

what I tried tho is the mobile app in combination with the Series X, and I gotta say... either they massively improved the app and algorithm or the Series X's hardware helps a fuck ton, because the latency is almost at a Wii U GamePad level now!

for people who don't have the best TV out there it might even be on par with their TV in terms of latency.

it's only a tiny bit more latency than the 12ms of my TV in 60hz mode.
