Hi Amazon,
I was delighted to receive an email confirming the delivery date of my Elite Controller. The 27th is just in time for Halo 5!
To my surprise though, I found that the price had increased. I would be happy to share some screenshots with you to show how the price has changed.
In brief:
- June - I pre-ordered at full price
- August - Price dropped to £75.72. My account showed this price-drop also. As per Amazon's price guarantee I was delighted.
- August - HotUkDeals picked up on this price drop. Number of people ordered. Cancellation emails were sent out. However, many people contacted amazon who honoured the price. Many comments can be found here

- August - My account remained at £75.72 and I received no correspondence to say that the price had increased. The first I realised of this was when I got my email recently about the delivery date.
I understand that pricing errors can happen. However, this is not really clear in your 'pre-order price guarantee' wording if they will be honoured our not. Also, to see the price honoured for some, leaves me frustrated given my pre-order was likely one of the first (I was keeping a close eye as I really want this item!)
I also have a pre-order at GameStop which is honouring a price cheaper than what I currently have with Amazon. As much as I would love two controllers, one pre-order will have to go.
Will Amazon honour the £75.72 price?
Let me know if any questions.
Kind regards,
XXXX
