Xbox One Tour - Highly disappointed in system and graphics

I already addressed that.

Question. Do you only have a problem when someone want's pics if you agree/like/lean towards the OPs preference?

I think the guy did go. I still want pics to see the setups and games. I'd be happy to see any media that's new or feeds my next-gen lust to see more.

Take a deep breathe, now tell me if you would be so vigilant about my post if I were questioning a negative PS4 (Wii U/Vita/etc) post about hands on from someone who shows a dislike for the given system well beforehand?

I'd love pics in that situation too. You seem almost offended that I wanted to see all the stuff he got to play. Ridiculous really...I won't address this. I believe the man went...I believe he felt the way he did. I still want pics for the sake of any media.

first you doubt that he went by disclaiming that no way anyone would not take a pic in such event. Now you are turning it around as some how trying to attack me.

Pathetic.

in history of my post history. I never asked anyone to post pic to validate if the impression were with or against my taste.

Yet, you only question his validation by asking for pic because his impression weren't with your taste. So again, do you only ask for pics when impression are not inline with your opinion?

have you ever asked someone who posted an impression to post a pic when there opinion was inline with you?

it's a simple question, you should be able to answer it without any mind gymnastic in a yes or no format.

Well, I'm just back in from my local Game stores XOne 'lock-in' and I have to disagree with the OP, I walked away feeling pretty happy with my preorder intact.

First off, I really don't understand alot of the negative impressions the controllers been getting. The pad fitted comfortably in my hand, the triggers felt responsive and the control sticks feel just as good as they did on the 360 pad. The D-Pad has been fixed and feels better under the thumb now. Each press also gives you a satisfying click, feeling much more tactile. The only criticism I can really throw at it, is the shoulder buttons feel a bit too stiff. But other than that, it feels very familiar.

Only got to play Killer Instinct for 2 rounds, 1 round of Ryse's gladitorial mode and about 15 mins with Dead Rising 3 but I came away feeling pretty positive about what I saw.

Beat-em-ups aren't really my sort of game and as a result, I'm not a good judge of how the game played. However, Killer Instinct felt responsive enough, the game was buttery smooth at 60fps and looked glorious to boot too. The partial effects from the power moves are just crazy. I'll download the free version, but doubt I'll pay for anything for it.

Ryse was fun, despite being an old build that has been doing the rounds. I heard something about 'E3' build being discussed, so it is possible that's how old this was. But again, frame rate felt solid, graphics was pretty good too - for the MP mode. Some of the glitches that was discussed at length during the oroginal reveals of the MP mode was there, but imfairly confident these will be sorted. I didnt experience any of the dropped frames or poor animation transitions that was being banded about. Played it in co-op gladitorial mode with my friend and we both walked away fairly impressed, so much so we stood in the queue and discussed all the cool executions and everything we saw for a good while afterwards. i already had it preodered, but getting hands on with it and the recent single player vids has conviced him to buy it. In fact, it was suprising how many people were queuing to play Ryse over everything else in the shop.

Dead rising 3 was also alot of fun. At times there seemed to be scenes with alot more
Zombies on screen than the previous games in the series which was imoressive but even better, the frame rate held firm despite explosions and everything else that was going on as well.

Didn't get a chance to play Forza. But I was blown away with how smooth it played and how incredible the game looked.

Also, interesting fact, of all the 70 people who signed up to the lock in, only 2 people hadn't preordere before hand.

Was gutted there was no third party games, really wanted hands on with BF4 and Ass Creed 4, but Heyho.

Overall, me and my friend walked away feeling good about our pre-orders. The general opinion and mood of the crowd there was positive too with alot of people discussing ter enjoyment fromthe limited exposure they got.

Roll on the 22nd of Nov.

People in this thread are demanding pictures of the OP to prove he really did play the Xbox One, seriously. Don't be shocked if people discount all your impressions and call you a liar, it's already happened to the OP.

I would assume you are safe, however. Awesome to hear you had a great experience..

Negative Xbone news incoming tomorrow?

With that talk yesterday about October 15th being the cut off point for launch game development time and that's why DC and Watchdogs bad news both occurred at the same time I'm now wondering if we've got a similar situation brewing with an Xbone launch game.

Which one could be ripe for delay? Place bets now!

OP didn't post impressions of netflix integration, tv implementation or skype performance. How can this be an unbiased review if you don't include what Microsoft consider its strongest points?

someone didm't read the rest of the thread.

It's accessory related and something people would pick up in addition to the console.

Should've probably read the thread first.

So shit just got real? Damn! So much drama on Gaf lately! :D

Melodrama is more accurate. I haven't got a clue where this 'April' release for Driveclub is coming from considering we don't even know if it's been delayed yet, and if the 'bad' news for MS is something to do with the headsets, that's not really a big deal. I'd sooner take a shortage of headsets over a delay of Driveclub any day of the week. It IS exciting though ... in a 'my life is dull and I need trivial verification that I'm alive' kind of way :)

I also think the OP is being a little too harsh. I'm not as impressed with the games on the X1 as I am of those on the PS4 but I'm still impressed nonetheless.

The negative news is something related to the controller. Not the controller itself but something related with it.

Someone start a new thread who thought the demos were kinda meh. Someone else start a thread who loved what they played. Oh wait we have a thread where all these go.

I hate Xbox One for all the rational reasons as well, but I still wouldn't expect to be blown away with launch games - for either system really... Part of it is because they're launch games, the other part is I'm largely a PC gamer, so I'm used to high end graphics.

The controller critiques would probably be the most worrying.

This have to admit though I was blown away by the graphics in. Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo last gen.

This is my guess. Or something very similar. Which...isn't really a huge deal to a lot of people. Don't get me wrong, it's bad but not exclusive title being delayed bad.

Yeah based on his post, its something that you don't really need an will be in the box. Likely the headphone adapter. Which is irrelevant to most because the box comes with one and the 3rd party ones will come later.

Ryse or Dead Rising.

How are you contributing to the thread at the moment?

Anyways, I can't wait to mess around with the xbone controller. 360 controller was close to reaching GOAT status. If it ain't broke...

Since the OP got bashed a bunch, I'll leave this for him. There is going to be some pretty negative XBOX ONE related news tomorrow.

I think OP was expecting too much. I do agree though its just better looking that current gen but Ryse does look very good. KI didnt impress me at all.

But I expect similar things from PS4 launch titles as well.

Surely there can't be more negative XB1 news. I mean, surely.

It's gotta be the 360 or 3rd Party Headset Adapter, to make them work with Xbox One, will Not be available at launch. Juancho said it involved an accessory, Penello said the adapter would be a paid accessory, Juanco said it won't affect everyone since there is one in the box, there is a headset in the box. Microsoft hasn't said a thing about the headset adapter since they announced that a headset would be included in every box. We haven't seen the adapter or heard a price.

Regardless, I don't think it's a huge deal for the majority.

This is just my prediction.

EDIT: Looks like this has been debunked since the adapter was never promised at launch. Gotta be the Play and Charge kit then, won't affect everyone since AA batteries are included in the box.....Otherwise I have no more guesses.

Maybe they are canning the adapter altogether?

3/10 not original enough, needs more paywall and TitanFall.

I agree with the OP.

Played Ryse earlier tonight and I have the following to mention about it.

Graphics ain't too bad but is kinda blurry. Especially on the detail at a distance.
Framerate drops to mid 20s in heavy action
Input latency. Genuinely affects gameplay
Button mashing ahoy.
Gets old very quickly.

This is my honest opinion on it. It really isn't all that much fun a few a few rounds. No idea what SP is like though.

Forza was just a bog standard racing game. I was only allowed to play one lap and in that time the graphics were ok. Yeah it had a nice framerate but you could notice the poor quality AA not having much effect. That and it's a good 30-40 second loading time for a small lap too. From the HDD as well.

Not sure if I had assists on but it did feel really basic and unrealistic. And the rumble triggers are kinda cool but for the most part they are a fad and a distraction. Every time they rumbled I just wanted to look down at the controller.

Now, MS say the controller is an improvement over the old one. It's not.

The only improvement is the Dpad. And even then, the DS3 dpad is still better.

The controller feels smaller than the 360 one as do the new sticks which feel like they have less travel. That and the bumper and trigger buttons are more awkward as they are not ideal for those with big hand to have their index and middle fingers over all four buttons at once. That wasn't an issue with the 360 controller.

And the grip on the sticks makes little difference. Honestly. They'll be caked up with dead skin within an hour of play.

I'd honestly recommend people play the Xbox One in a store first before buying it. £430+?$500+ is a lot of money for something that doesn't feel like a massive leap over the current gen consoles.

LOL. And yes, the OP is being too harsh without doing enough justice to the positives of the system. Having said that, I'm curious to know how the kinect functionality has been implemented. Is pulling the plug the only way to disable it in-game? Is there no lean mechanic in BF4 without it?

That's all?

Fuck... guess the drama's probably all tapped out for this week then.

The PS4 gfx aren't anything to write home about either..

'gfx' on Second Son are sure as shit something to write to Santa about though!

'Deer Santy,

PS4 wif Inafmouse 3 nao pleez.

sined,

prins vulcan'

Soon enough both consoles will be out and we will see how they match up power wise to each other and PC. Plus we will see if Sony has fixed their online infrastructure.
