You can return one company to its former glory. Who is it?

Oh yeah and:

Sunsoft (NES era), Game Arts (SCD/Saturn era) or Dream Factory (PS1 era).

If I could reform a company at their height, it'd be MSX/NES/PCE era Compile or SNES era Quintet.

Honestly all I know from Sega back in the day was Sonic and the Dreamcast. I still think SE takes the cake. Its almost as if its not Square Enix its now Square Eidos.

As much as it kills me not to pick Square, I've got to go with Quintet.

They also made Soulblazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, and Robotrek

And of course Sega, Nintendo's only worthy Rival.

Bizarre Creations. (Although most of them are either with Lucid (Who are rumored to be working on PGR5) or Playground Games (Forza Horizon)

I would love for the whole team to get back together and make Blur 2.

Since Capcom, Square, and Sega have been saved by many others in this thread already, my choice is Cing. They only lived for a short time, but they pumped out plenty of high-quality titles. Another Code R might even be my favourite adventure game.

Have you never played or owned a SEGA system? :)

Personally, I can't decide between NES/SNES Konami, SNES/PS1 Square or MD/Saturn/DC SEGA so I haven't posted my pick yet :lol

Probably either late 80s / early 90s Sega, or possibly Bullfrog. I'd love to live in a world with more great arcade-y games and Theme games.

Rare. Other companies have fallen off but they still make some games I like. Rare went from being the folk who made all of my favorite games in a gen to just nothing. Over the course of two more gens, just nothing that interested me. They're like the Jay-Z lyric that goes you went from top ten to not mentioned at all. I could paraphrase "thats a one hot [game] every ten year average" but that's a compliment for Rare.

Just the amount of great games they made, how they perfected all 3 of their major franchises with SMB3/World, Link to the Past and Super Metroid. They still have not topped those games with any of the sequels in the past 10-15 years.
Super Mario Galaxy, Majora's Mask, and Metroid Prime are all worthy entries in those franchises and in my opinion trumphs the ones you mentioned.

Capcom can't be fixed because most of its talent left. Wishing for PS2 era Capcom is just wishing for Platinum Games to disappear.

Personally, I wouldn't change anything about the current state of the industry. There are a lot of companies falling apart, but many new ones are coming together. I'm good.
