I have to admit that despite all the posts about them I haven't been moved to watch more magical girl shows. Partially because any show or franchise with hundreds of episodes immediately puts me off.

Watch Princess TuTu

High School DxD New 7

THAT AKENO, THAT XENOVIA, THAT LEWD-ASS NEW ED WITH THE RETURN OF KONEKO BUTT.

This show never had any shame before, but if there were any examples of it it would most definitely be this new ED. It's not even more well-animated than the first ED (or at all) but it's absolutely breathtaking in its lewdity.

Koneko is love!

Blue Exorcist The Movie

This movie was absolutely amazing. The story wasn't as deep as one would expected but it was done extremely well. Usamaro is adorable and I really like how he interacted especially with Rin. I like how the story was presented with the flashbacks here and there. It worked really well.

The background art was amazing throughout the movie. It's pretty amazing how well done they are and how well they change after the events in the movie. The festival was colorful, active and just a joy to watch.

I think one of my favorite things in the movie was seeing the scenes where there was just music playing as things were happening. Really helped focused on what was going on and really made it much more memorable. I just love how this movie was directed and really enjoyed how it all ended back to the telling of the flashback.

The dub was pretty serviceable. No one sounded off or unacceptable.

I think I'll stop rambling but this was definitely one of my favorite anime movies of the year.

This looks gorgeous. Wonder what the budget was?

LEWD, LEWD, STILL LEWD.

These are all NSFW!

whoa.
WHOA.

You are correct, they went the brother/sister romance route. Honestly I believe people are angry at the ending because of two things 1.) Their choice (waifu) didn't win 2.) The majority hate Kirino because she's a total jerk towards Kyosuke and treats him like dirt most of the time. :lol

More of 2. Also the way it's handled is done in such a shitty and aggravating way that it makes you want to throw your hands up. The rejection scenes are horribly directed and written.

This show really makes me appreciate how well Toradora was done.

Well that explains why. I would have probably been angry too at the
ending
then. I never liked the
tsundere character type so I automatically didn't like Kirino. Also Ayase was best girl anyways.

You're gonna keep asking that unfortunately, and this is the one tool in the set that stands out the most to Smile Precure watchers.

Also, good thing none of them have dicks or girlcocks.
It's not even about the dick though. They swim up your stream of urine into your urethra. Course a girl would have to actually be in the water, or do something incredibly lewd from the boat. Though I'm not sure actually if they'll affect you if your not actually in the water. I think they do though, and it wouldn't be worth the risk anyway.

While still good, there was nothing particularly great in this episode. The animation was still top notch, but it was a half hour where we really only see them bathe and then the revelation that
Frog onii-chan went drinking with the Dad before he died.
It was uneventful, in other words.

I don't think you have to be in the water since the piss is enough to connect you to nature more than you'd want.

And silly. Girls don't pee.

EDIT: Not doing Tokyo Mew Mew in 2 weeks. Not interesting enough to do that. It's fine at 1 ep a night.

Yeah, I dozed off a bit on the middle, it felt a bit unfocused. The way they
framed the Tengu when that guy was talking about the one drinking with their father seems to imply he knows more than he lets on. Or it can be just a bad storyboard, I won't discard that one in this episode because it wasn't as tight as others.

The beginning, and the end, were as good as the rest of the show. Looking forward to the next ep.

At which point you will promptly decide that you must know, first hand, if it is as bad as everyone says. You tell yourself it cannot be.

But it always is.

It's that arrogance which is driving me towards Oreimo. Being self-aware just makes the whole process, all the more loathsome!

OreImo is honestly not that bad. Most critique of the show doesn't even fall on the particularly offensive aspects of it (where characters constantly break into yelling in some weird attempt to bring emotion to scenes). The reactions to the ending are completely overblown for something that is rather trivial, mundane, and inconsequential to the series as a whole. If you are going into it looking to be shocked or something you will just find nothing.

I didn't really find Oreimo all that offensive until I watched the commentaries for the first season which pretty much stewed in its depravity, shit series.

Moretsu Pirates/Bodacious Space Pirates Episode 9: If I didn't know better, I would swear this was a shonen show in the vein of One Piece, Inuyasha or Attack on Titan with some of the dragging out they do here. It isn't utterly pointless, but I don't think we needed the extended break at K-On! either. Though we have learned that the Yacht Club is quite the den of thieves and ruffians apart from the pirates. Also seeing that thus far only Jenny and her pet hacker Lynn seem to actually matter within that dichotomy and everybody else is so much background filler. Indeed we get a good look at the Bentenmaru crew working together as a well oiled machine in order to stop a space battle. Also, if nothing else the animation budget on this show must have such that you could have bought Belgium with it. Anyway, the great upshot is the pirate crew is in The Grand Line and ready to set sail for One Piece.

Harry Ord's fashion sense is just as hilarious outside of uniform as it is in it. That said, the guy is most definitely loyal, and a good man to boot. Rather than selling Kihel out, he, fully aware of who she is, has been assisting her with the loyalty he owes his Queen, who he still respects, even if he hasn't like, any hope of now reconciling Kihel's need to see Diana with Diana's refusal to return to the Moonrace.

Kihel and Harry also double as a mirror of Loran and Diana, both girls learning about the opposing world with the constant support of their most trusted retainers. Meanwhile, Lt. Poe couldn't win at a game of Solitaire if she herself forfeited. Girl is a complete failure, and most of the time it is her own fault.

And now the Earthmen have themselves a space ship, meaning stuff is gonna get real in the next three episodes.

This has to be a troll. You could make the argument that things were always destined for this from the beginning, but the sense of progression, shift in character personalities, and how they tackle these situations is just nonsense when looking at everything that's happened before it. Really gotta commend the LN author for this. He created something super popular just to fuck with the fanbase like this.

Do I have what it takes to watch the last episode?

Maybe he's just an awful writer.

Maybe he's just an awful writer.

The developments may have been iffy from the beginning, but they were always consistent. Even in season 2 when the pandering was jacked up, what the characters did and said never felt out of place based on their established personalities.

Now it's like I'm watching characters from a completely different show interacting even if shades of themselves are still there. It would actually be more impressive if the guy was so bad of a writer that he unintentionally threw consistency out the window after maintaining it for however many books this thing lasted prior to the ending.

Sounds like what happens when a bad and pandering writer needs to write a "dramatic" conclusion to his story when it's previously been meandering and formulaic.

Gatchaman Crowds 06

This show is so odd. It really feels like it's spinning its wheels. I should be really annoyed by that, but some how I'm not. Even if its ham fisted about it, I still love the ideas and themes behind all the tech things they're working it. I just so desperately want them to crank up the action. Every week should be giving us some sort of awesome gatcha fight. So far, we've had like 2 in 6 episodes. We've also had only 3 team member henshins 2 of which were in the first episode. It constantly feels like the action is just around the corner, but it never arrives. I hope they crank it up soon. If this isn't going to be an action show, why have the Gatchaman premise in the first place? Not just the name/franchise, but the whole mask hero thing is feeling so wasted right now.

Still, I really enjoy the show. Colors are fun to watch each week, Jou's great, and Hajime hasn't annoyed me to the point of throwing things at the TV. The thematics alone will get me to keep watching, I just hope this evolves into the show I know it can be.

Looking back at my initial impressions when season 1 aired is making me a bit uncomfortable.

Just watched it. So she goes from barely talking to her brother to getting him to review porn games? :lol

I honestly think there's a lot of wish fulfillment going on here, but not in the traditional sense. Sure, a lot of people will see it as some incest fantasy, but I see it as a way for siblings to get closer. I've said maybe 5 sentences to my little sister in the last 3 years and I totally wish I could stumble upon some crazy hobby of hers to bring us closer. The "cute sister that loves her older brother" trope really is pretty damn rare in real life.

:/

Though what makes me more uncomfortable is realizing that was nearly 3 years ago. Damn.

Think the worst part is that it wasn't a complete harem fest at first... but then again... gotta set everything up before you get the ball rolling.

Comments on Sailor Moon the Mango Acts 1-3

The events that sets them up to be Senshis happen how it does in the manga, but it happens at such a blistering pace
I mean fucking Sailor Mars burns Jadiete to fucking death.
, I could see how it could be ideal to watch the anime since there's not much to delve into characters.

Oreimo S2 - 16 [END]

Man... I don't know what to say. Picking up where I left off on episode 12 and plowing through the rest until I reached the much talked about finale, my heart was racing with so many emotions. Would
Kirino really end up winning, how would Manami deal with the unfolding events, would her reasoning convince the two to stop their forbidden relationship, would they pull the bullshit copout at the last second and claim that Kirino was adopted and not related to Kyosuke at all, etc.
Holy shit was this episode a rollercoaster of fears. I
give them credit for sticking to their guns and having Kirino win, and not doing any adoption twists to try and lessen the blow for people that are against the pairing. Even though they threw in the whole 'we'll only be a couple until graduation' resolution near the end, they made it pretty obvious that the two are still in love with each other which in my book provides a satisfying ending.
I personally had a blast with this series. The majority can hate on it as much as they want,
the best girl won. #smug

#TeamKirino

*BROFIST*

Us people who actually like Kirino and thought the series ending wasn't an affront to humanity gotta stick together. We're horribly outnumbered around these parts >.>

Ore no Imouto 16-
Oh and fuck Manami. Bitch doesn't do anything the entire series but still expects to win by existing. Friendzone showing it's a real thing.

Still though, why couldn't Manami be this remotely interesting the rest of the series instead of a sidewalk that everybody steps on and ignores? She actually shows some human emotions at the end.

I'm going to blame the anime's omission of Volume 11 for this, at least in part. Since it gives Manami lots of screentime, demonstrates why she is awesome, and shows clearly that
at one point in his life, Kyousuke definitely did have strong romantic feelings for her.

So from what I'm getting after reading everyone's thoughts on Oriemo's ending is that they
went the brother/sister lovers route
. I've only seen about 4 episodes of this show but is that
really that bad of a thing?
Did people not like the little sister or something, don't like that it's incest, did the main character deserve more, or was it just a stupid ending?

I'm not planning on picking up the show again after me and my friend dropped it a while ago, but I might need some explanation on the backlash for the ending out of curiosity.

I think it's mostly a combination of
people being against incest on principle, and people just not liking Kirino.
Both of which I think are silly, but what can you do.

I don't think you have to be in the water since the piss is enough to connect you to nature more than you'd want.

And silly. Girls don't pee.

...There are a number of things girls don't do (most obviously farting and pooping), but peeing is not one of them.

Can't really understand this opinion. It's true that there is a certain amount of dissonance with the rest of the series, but that's mostly because of how sudden it seems that everybody chooses to reveal their true feelings at roughly the same time. And like most things, I'm going to blame the omission of Volume 11 at least partly for that, since it set up for these events by
giving Kyousuke and Kirino's relationship the final pieces of development it needed, and also showing how Kirino's decision to leave the country after graduation was the catalyst for everyone to decide to make their moves on Kyousuke at once.

But yeah, suddenness of developments aside, I can't see how anyone is acting remotely out of character in these final episodes. Everything they say and do seems pretty consistent with how their characters have been presented up to this point.

Not so fillery now, is it?

Not so fillery now, is it?

Well the only potential issue I had with it was in S if only because it made certain villains stay around longer to the point of making the tail end of it feeling rather rushed (and gives the arc a not well planned out feeling to it at the end).

The Doom Tree arc though.... egggh.

Mobile Suit Victory Gundam 9

Uso's skills are improving pretty damn rapidly. I don't know that I dislike him, so much as after Tobia, Judau and Kamille, he just doesn't seem awesome yet. But hey, we're not 10 episodes in, so there's that. Lt. Cronicle is the dopiest nice-guy Char ever, though. Like he's always getting suckered by people who willingly take advantage of what a nice guy he's trying to be.

Can't stand Katejina, though. Even knowing half of what she did was a ploy, I just can't stand her. Girl is so annoying, what with her constantly whining about how wrong war is only to decide to participate in it herself. Also she looks like Dorothy from Gundam Wing.

The arc had good episodes. What more could you ask for?
