So tired of announcements for announcements. Wish they'd at least tease the time period so I can know if I should get excited. Modern and future is negative hype.

Well the original rumor was next Friday. It was just some other people started posting stuff about their NDA expiring today that muddied the waters.

Agree completely, it was BF 2142 that got me OUT of playing BF games. I really hated BF3 but did enjoy BF 4 after that large post launch patch.

They almost always unveiled BF games before E3. BF3 and BF4 were unveiled in Game Informer and at GDC in February/March.

They've always announced Battlefield before E3.
It doesn't make sense to make Battlefield 5 a future game, it just seems like it would be eating into Battlefront and Titanfall 2.

I will accept either another Battlefield 1942 era game, or 2143. One or the other.
Personally I want to see them return to WW2, if only because we are now in a new generation and it would be interesting to see what they could accomplish now.
But I'll also accept 2143, because I miss 2142 dearly.
