Same shit different Raw.

Love Punk, but damn is this getting stale already. The outcome is so obvious right now. HHH is gonna screw both of them and take the title himself ala Austin reffing Kane v. Taker back in the day. HHH Cena feud for awhile. Punk bitches and moans like R-Truth.
Just reposting my thoughts after Raw when a few people told me it would never happen, and apparently everyone in this thread thinks this now.

I doubt Punk won't get pushed after the match. Unlike Truth, WWE sees that there are fans for Punk....
Don't mention Ryder! :(
Also, they gave him a huge push unlike any other wrestler for awhile.

I didn't say he won't get a push/another title shot, I think his new gimmick is to bitch and moan like he used to do in SES. Even tho the internet likes Punk, he's still the heel here, just not as much of a bad guy as he was in SES. Besides Henry, and Del Rio there's really no big bad guy, and I think theyre developing Punk into a similar role like Austin against management/bitching on the mic at the beginning of every Raw.

WWE Diva Gail Kim provided an update on her status with the company. "For everyone asking, once again I'm still on a mini-vacation (meaning don't work for the I-won't-acknowledge-there's-any-competition), but have some upcoming appearances and have a few projects on the table," Kim wrote on Twitter.

"So like I said before, this won't be the last you see of me. Just be patient. You'll be seeing a lot of me in this next coming year...

"It's great that everyone is hopeful but I'm nonofficially/officially done. I'm ready to make things happen for myself instead of leaving it into someone else's hands. Especially into the hands of a person who didn't believe in me.

"Why should I waste more of my time when I believe in myself? I'm ready to accomplish things for myself and not for a boss I have no respect for."

Well with the lack of any Summerslam for me tonight I might have to bust out one of my dvds of the event. I've got from 1998 to 2002 courtesy of the anthology, also 2004 and 2005. Any recommended matches? i'm thinking that there are some hidden gems in these events that I haven't seen in ages instead of just watching some of the usual suspects like HHH/HBK (man 2002 had a marvelous match lineup)

I was originally on Gail Kim's side but cry me a damn river. That is such a horrible attitude to have. People get jerked around all the time in the business, that is how the business works. Especially if you're just an expendable diva.

The Miz went from WWE Champion main eventing at Wrestlemania to not even being booked at Summerslam, and really at absolutely no fault of his own. I wish he'd throw a temper tantrum on Twitter and start acting all kinds of stupid.

That would make sense, but isn't that what The Miz is doing right now(or was doing)? I see that happening, but in the sense of Punk starting a new group of people who hate the new regime.

I still think your idea is cynical and not going to happen Triple H is not going to become the champion.

That's a work. wwe.com posted a video of him being angry about it.

He'll be making the save for Punk tonight.

They set up the main event to the next Wrestlemania a day after the last one ended. It's never too early.

10 months of HHH/Punk would not be surprising at all. It won't be a constant on for 10 months thing, it'd be more along the lines of Rock / Cena rather than a regular weekly feud.

Kind of hard to do it that way when both are on TV every week.

Which will be the beginning of the new alliance...
WWE ain't that smart.

The real women wrestlers vs "Divas" angle has a chance to be the best Divas angle since Trish/Mickie, but of course they would still fuck up such an easy feud.

That's different from being fired, though.

Also, he's still all over commercials for some reason. Is anyone NOT sick of seeing him pimp those drink cups?

Gail wasn't actually fired though. She quit. And in a really unprofessional (yet hilarious) way.

The Miz worked his way up to being one of the most marketable stars the WWE. Maybe Gail could have learned a thing or two.

Could it really be that great?

Natalya and Beth are the best in ring women competitors. I guess they could both be the monster heels of their respective brands. No one else could hold a candle to them. AJ is great, but not at that level yet. Eve and Kelly Kelly are a step below AJ.

The rest of the females can do nothing.

So, I think there should be some decent matches tonight. It looks like they're going with a less is more approach, which means there will be some longer matches I hope. Probably a couple of impromptu ones I'm sure.

You bring in a couple more women wrestlers to join Natalya and Beth, who are just as pissed about the pretty girls getting all the jobs. Keep it going for a few months where its going back and forth...and then KHARMA COMES TO COLLECT.

Miz will get a match but against who is the question.

Do you really want a 20+ minute Mark Henrey vs. Sheamus match?

I hope that Cody Rhodes gets a match thrown on there for the IC title!

Does anyone really want to watch non-pretty girl wrestlers?

edit: whoa, I set myself up for an avatar quote didn't I

Noone gives a fuck about women wrestling. Tits and Ass can be on the show as backstage interviewers and valets. I don't see the appeal in watching two women fight.

When was the last time there was a genuine valet anyway? Even managers have gone to the wayside.

so wwe is smart enough to let punk have the title and let John Cena have some time off right, the man doesnt need the title right now, and the WWE is RIPE for a reign of awesome/terror depending on your pov with punk leading the charge. Looking at the matches in this PPV its clear the wwe needs to build mid card matches find a way to work the US and intercontinental titles into some prime time matches.

There was a major argument between Hulk Hogan and TNA head writer Vince Russo at the Hardcore Justice pay-per-view last Sunday regarding the finish of the Kurt Angle vs. Sting main event. Hogan was frustrated enough that he was telling people that Russo doesn't know anything because he's never been a wrestler.

Hogan and Russo made up at the Impact Wrestling taping on Monday. However, there has been noticeable tension among some of the power players in the company at the three days of Impact Wrestling tapings that followed.

There was also a lot of grumbling backstage regarding Eric Bischoff. The feeling of some wrestlers within the company is that he's snobbish and arrogant, and some of his criticisms over the in-ring work are falling on deaf ears because some of the talent don't respect his opinion regarding in-ring work."

There is talk backstage of reshooting an eight-man X Division gauntlet match (that was originally taped on Tuesday) because Bischoff didn't care for it.

Update: They did a second version of the X Division gauntlet match at the taping on Wednesday. Since I posted this story on Wednesday, I was told that Hogan and Russo were actually still going over the finish with Sting and Kurt Angle as the Hardcore Justice event was taking place. Several people have stated that the tension between the power players in the company did more damage to the already poor locker room morale.

I'm kind of curious, 1) who's ending did they use? 2) What was the other one?

Hopefully the paying crowd is just as pro-heel as the crowd at the show yesterday. Boo the hell out of Kelly Kelly again!

JR sez there will be surprise bouts added.

So looks like it's gonna be a 3 hour RAW.

My guess is Kofi / Del Rio, Cody / Zeke rematch, and Miz / Rey (unless Rey is hurt, in which case I have no idea) with an outside shot of Ziggler / Riley.

so wwe is smart enough to let punk have the title and let John Cena have some time off right, the man doesnt need the title right now, and the WWE is RIPE for a reign of awesome/terror depending on your pov with punk leading the charge.

I agree Cena desperately needs time off, and they need Punk to carry a legit title reign for a few months. The problem becomes who could Punk possibly feud with if it isn't Cena? Del Rio I guess, but can that carry Raw for a month or two? Eh... unless Del Rio cashes in on Punk and turns out to be in cahoots with Mr. H's or something.

Damn, that set looks hot! I'm halfway excited for tonight I guess.

Rhodes vs. Zeke rematch makes sense - though I'm curious if half the audience at SS knows that Rhodes won it in the first place? :lol

Rey and Ziggler are both hurt still, right? So they probably won't be having a match.

They all don't know jack shit about booking. Whatever happened to the rumor that Russo was looking to move on from TNA at some point last year? Funny nothing ever came of that.

Like I said before they should make Sheamus/Henry match a pins fall anywhere.

There should be a rematch for the IC

DJ Gabriel with Alicia Fox. Does anyone remember this guy? :lol
Wow, I'd completely forgot about that guy, for what it's worth his dancing was kind of entertaining.
Man there have been some swiftly forgotten wrestlers over the past few years in WWE, anyone remember Sylvester Terkay or Eric Escobar?

In this pants-wettingly funny parody, Hulk Hogan has a lot more on his hands than just his wife and kids! Follow the nation’s favorite wrestling hero and his super-tanned reality TV family as they heat up their Florida mansion with moves you won’t see in the ring! After downing a bucket of steroids and Viagra, the Hulkster calls a hooker to calm him down, giving new meaning to the ‘choke hold’ and ‘piledriver!’ Meanwhile Brooke catches hell for wearing a slutty shirt, which doesn’t seem to bother her boyfriend Bill, and Nick entertains Brooke’s horny friend Lexi, leaving his nerdy pal Linc to get it on with Linda! With this sex-crazed family all living under one roof, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got a ring-side seat!

Cast: Kagney Linn Karter, Julia Ann, Devon Lee, Lexi Swallow, and Kimberly Kane.

Miz gets constant TV time on RAW. Gail Kim had her matches last a minute, maybe 2-3 on RAW if they even decided to put her on the show. Instead we often seen her get some matches on Superstars, which had matches that were 10x better than what we commonly see on RAW. I can definitely see where she's coming from, and don't blame her at all for quitting. Vince and Co. killed any sense of a women's division they had -- despite having at least four women who could wrestle (Beth, Natalya, Gail, and Melina [Melina/Gail had entertaining matches on Superstars, check them out]).
