PS Vita PCH-2000 (slim) coming to NA this Spring bundled w/ Borderlands 2 - $199

Are there other Vita games that have DLC? I'm hoping they'll still release the Tiny Tina expansion at least. Maybe since Tiny Tina was Gearbox developed and not outsourced, they're going to sell it as separate DLC?

It's also weird to have cross-save with the PS3 version since this version doesn't have as many expansions. And it doesn't have the final level raise Vault Hunter Pack so how would I play a level 65 character on there for example?

A vita 2000 only sku should be out the same day right? I would rather just spend less and get only the vita. I'm not a big borderlands fan. Plus I already have an 8gb card in my OLED vita.

There are a lot of Vita games with DLC available for them. Hell, the X-2 part of FFX/X-2 is download only, even at retail.

i wouldn't count on it. this is how sony does their new console/handheld skus. they release bundles first.

How long has it been confirmed that this BL2 port was actually in the works, it hasn't been that long has it? And this will be out in spring? Dunno if that bodes well or badly for it. Either way the bundle looks like a great deal, can't wait.

Borderlands 2 was announced for Vita in August of last year. That's a long time for a port.

Slim Vita + Borderlands 2 + all dlc + 8GB memory Card seems like a goddamn excellent deal to me.

Yeah man. This seems like a damn good bundle.

And Borderlands 2 Cross Save! If I can just send my Bordelands 2 save to Vita I'll finally be able to play the game all the way.

Has anyone taken a spectrophotometer/colorimeter and done an objective comparison of the 1k and 2k? 1k is obviously vastly superior in terms of MLL and CR, but I'm curious if the 2k is superior in WB, Color (relative to SRGB/REC709), Gamma, ect--as was common with OLED Vs. LCD mobile displays during with 1k's release.

So how do you run with your character on the Vita? Is it set to auto-run? Please tell me I don't have to use touch controls to activate it.

Dat avatar, Fragile<3

Well for me the 2000's advantages are not enought to outweight the OLED on the 1000.
So yeah, I'm getting it in two weeks hopefully.

Good taste! Despite the really bland dungeons, Fragile remains a game I still think of. I might need to pull out my copy and try it upscaled on Dolphin...

I agree. Vita is not heavy to me and I mostly play it at home, so I am not worried about extra battery life. I sold my 3ds XL to a desperate and lazy co-worker for $150.00 and paid exactly that for a perfect condition Vita 1000 plus accessories.

Ok so BL2 with the Season Pass expansion DLC's and 2 character classes and the Vault Hunter Pack 1 takes up over 10GB on PC. Obviously the textures and other assets will take up WAY less room on the Vita, but we're still in a situation where nearly all Vita games are less than 3.5GB.

Is it possible that the reason this version of Borderlands 2 is missing some major content like Tiny Tina Assault is so they can get the game size within a certain limit, then they'll simply sell us the missing DLC?

It seems weird to allow cross-save capability while not even having the expansion that allows you to raise your level beyond level 61. So what happens when I try to load up a character that's level 65?

And it seems weird to be specifically missing 2 expansions that came out WAY before the Vault Hunter Pack 1 was released. The only explanation I could think is that they wanted to stay within a certain size and it will be DLC.

Gonna be honest, that looks like a kick ass deal. I wish it was bundled with another game though.

Other than Gravity Rush and Persona 4 Golden, what other great exclusives does the system have?

Nice to see at least an 8gb card included. I'd bite on this if I didn't have a Vita already. Surprised that BL2 is really coming, thought it was vapor at this point. Now I can start wanting it and let the feels happen.

Looks cool, at least SONY is trying. Said so, I don't want a handheld... heck I don't even want a smartphone anymore.

Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice, Killzone Mercenary and Uncharted off the top of my head.

I might buy this. I need a second Vita.

I'm not sure about BL2. It was an ugly looking game on the PS3. I can't imagine how it will look with further downgraded graphics.

Also missing Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt. Are those the only two expansion packs missing? I wonder/hope if they'll be purchasable.
Major packs so far:
*Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt
*Captain Scarlett's Booty something something something
*Tiny Tina's Assault On Dragon Keep
*Mr Torque's Badass Crater Of Badassitude
*Assault On Digistruct Peak

Another one called Sir Hammerlock And The Son Of Crawmerax is apparently due in April.

Then there's character packs (Mechromancer, Psycho, probably a few more).

There's also this "Headhunter" DLC thing, apparently several episodes of that are already out, haven't kept up, no idea what the scope is. Next one should go live tomorrow in the US.

I am all over this. It comes with a memory card, right?

Edit: ah I see. 8GB. Eh....

the oled vita standalone is $199? Why not get this bundle?

TxK
MLB '14
Borderlands 2
FFX
Grandia PsOne (already own through PSN)
Wipeout (own all the games except the Vita one)

That will hold me for awhile XD

Shouldn't have a problem with the included card space either.

Almost there.
8 GB is something I'd probably throw away, to be honest, after buying 32 or 64 GB from Amazon. Alas, big cheap memory are still not there.

Also not interested in Borderlands 2. FFX bundle will come, right? :\

Crawmerax is a headhunter pack, along with the new mad moxxi dlc and the 3 holiday packs.

I've been looking to get a vita for a while now but now I'm torn between picking up an OLED version or waiting and getting this slim version.

I DO NOT understand why they are doing black only, is it because retailers don't want to have a lot of SKUs?
I'm not sure if they sell as well outside of Japan to be honest and there are extra costs in involved having different production runs. I know some people would buy them but maybe it's just not worth it for them? Microsoft do bundles with custom consoles but I think it's rare for Sony outside of Japan.

I almost forgot about Soul Sacrifice. Are there any more JRPG's? And are there more JRPG's being brought to the west?

Ys Celceta is exclusive, as it's Demon Gaze. Conception is multi with 3DS and FFX is multi with PS3. The Atelier games are being brought by Tecmo via PSN. Shu has hinted Over My Dead Body 2 coming to the West, though it's not confirmed.

If you're counting SS as a JRPG, you could check Toukiden. It's more like Monster Hunter than Soul Sacrifice.

Maybe some other gaffer can add something to that list.
