Guys anyone knows how to get this PERFECT ? I don't understand how we are supposed to make it right..

I think it's using a combo of both the O button and the right arrow, but I have yet to nail it. That song is brutal.

Newcomer to the series here. You can blame ZeroAKA for getting me hyped. My wallet is ready. What's so special about the Snow outfit dlc?
The Snow Miku was a DLC item for those that preordered the PS3 version. Plus it's dang pretty:

So is the VITA US release going to include the DLC, or will I have to buy it separately at a later date?
It's separate. However, all DLC is available at launch, and RubeEclipse confirmed that it'll be less than $20:

If you pick up a $20 card, you'll be able to afford all the available DLC at launch. (Extra Songs + Snow Miku + Extra Characters) Hope this helps!

Project Diva f on JP PSN is 3400 yen and the DLC is only 1500.

Those were definitely not the prices at launch. The game is nearing two years old in Japan and apparently the prices have dropped on their end since then.

Seems they basically just made the 1500 yen preorder bonus pricing the standard pricing at some point. They're not mentioned separately on the official website anymore.

so im assuming native res and 30fps?

Is the timing 'perfect' with default? Had a hard time messing with options to get it to feel right on ps3 demo.

UI elements (including the gameplay prompts) are native res but 3D elements are not.

I personally feel timing is a bit late but most entries in the series time that way too.

I should have my review of this game up tomorrow since the game is 90% the same as the PS3 version. The only thing needing tweaking is talking about the lower price, the less songs and the control difference. Unless the game's controls feel much better I don't need t tweak the score, since the less songs and lower price point counteract each other enough in the Value department.

So what is the difference between the vita and the ps3 game? Are they the same game with the same tracks?

I microwave steaks.
All DLC Songs are in the PS3 Version but that costs $20 more. Outside of that very minor changes.

Price has not been confirmed. The quote above from the sega rep says if you have $20, you can get all the dlc (costumes included). I'm thinking that puts the dlc at around $10-12 based on what the costume dlc already costs.

Does it really need calibration options? Shouldn't the devs have taken care of that since they only have to think about one screen?

You're right, which was why the question was confusing lol. The one thing I did notice though is the timing window on the vita feels really strict, but I think that's just because of the way the buttons feel.

I meant that the PS3 version costs $20 more then the Vita Version when buying them by themselves. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Wouldn't there need to be a different timing mode for the Vita 2000? OLED screens have a LOT less latency than LCD

No, I don't think the screens have a different amount of latency. The only visible differences, besides the LCD screen not having oversaturated color, should be some minor ghosting and slightly worse black levels.

It only became like that around December, IIRC.

If you've been playing Project Diva since PSP days, then you'd know the price they used to charge for DLC.

Welp no review from me since we have a new rule for no double reviews for the generally same game on different platforms.

Here are parts from my PS3 version review though...

he gameplay is simple, then, but it becomes more difficult and even somewhat sadistic as the game progresses and the challenge ramps up. There are four difficulties - Easy, Normal, Hard and Extreme - and you will certainly notice the differences between them very quickly. Easy and Normal use just 2 of the PlayStation’s symbols and are generally slower compared to Hard and Extreme (which use all four symbols and often use combo notes). But that’s where rhythm games like this shine; when you’re pushed mentally until you hit your stride, tapping the right buttons without thinking. These sections of sadistic button tapping occur frequently as you progress and are a joy to play, even though you’ll often fail in the end.

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA F 2

When it comes to rhythm games, one’s enjoyment of the featured music is just as important as the gameplay itself. In Project DIVA F the majority of the music consists of J-pop and some rock music, as well as the Nyan Cat’s theme. If you have never listened to a Vocaloid song before listen to these three songs to figure out where you stand: Odds & Ends, Fire Flower and Tengaku. With Vocaloid there isn’t much middle ground, so as soon as you’ve listened to those songs you’ll know exactly which side you stand on. DIVA F has a strong collection of Vocaloid songs. There are a few odd ones but the majority are good and there are even some of my favorites. Many of these catchy songs will get stuck in your heads for days; often times you will randomly start humming one before even realizing it.

By far the strongest part of the gameplay is the fast pace of the button tapping. Sadly the Star Notes don’t mix well this concept. While star note sections can be just as fast paced as the button sections, the difficulty level for them is disturbingly easy, and it’s very rare to not perform these sections perfectly. While they only take up a small amount of each song, star sections nonetheless feel out of place.

It will take you about five hours to beat and unlock all of the songs on normal. While that may not sound like much (and it isn’t), Project DIVA F can last much longer if you want it to, be it either by challenging yourself to complete songs on extreme difficulty, or to best your high score, or even making your perfect stage performance using the editing tools. If you enjoy the core game then you will get much more than five hours’ worth of content out of Project DIVA F.

Hastune Miku: Project DIVA F is a delightful experience; a unique combination of pure button-tapping madness and some awkward diva petting in-between. While it can be a bit rough around the edges and certainly won’t appeal to most gamers, that doesn’t mean it’s not fun. If you’re looking for a rhythm game that’s a little bit different and quintessentially Japanese then you could do much worse. Hopefully this is not just a one-time deal, but rather the first of many Hatsune Miku games that make it over to the West.

Even though I can't review it, I'm still picking it up and am happy to double dip.

When I get a vita this will be a thing in my life. <3 miiiiikuuuuuu. Love the ps3 version of diva F.now let's get diva F2 to the states!!!

The same thing they were thinking since they started this series years ago.

The original entries on PSP were actually lucky to even hit 30fps - more often they ran at closer to ~18-25 if I were to eyeball a guess. They really pushed that hardware to the limit, I suppose.

I still think they should have decoupled the animation and gameplay framerates - run the animations at 30fps but have the gameplay markers animate at 60. But career rhythm gamers are certainly not the demographic they're after.

I was really interested in this game until I listened to some of the Hatsune Miku music on Youtube :(

Did you listen to the actual music featured in this game, or whatever you happened to find randomly? Like any tool, the quality of sound will vary based on the skill of the person using Miku's voice. Just searching around for Miku's name alone will probably not yield the best results.

I can't really search for a better video while at work, but this is my personal favorite of the songs in the game.

Guys sell me on this game for the VIta.

I have never played a Miku game before but I do love rhythm games.

It's a really fun rhythm game with some catchy songs. It took me a while to get over the musical hump of Vocaloid, but once I did I started really enjoying it. It's simple enough where people who aren't the best at rhythm games can pick it up. But it also has a fun scoring system and is difficult enough so that it encourages people who are experienced to try and 100% the songs, making it way more addicting than it should be lol.

There's a demo on PS3 that has 3 songs with multiple difficulties, though give the digital manual a quick read since the only tutorial is via loading screen, which only stays up for a few seconds. There'll be a demo on the Vita as well, though I don't know if the songs are the same.

Question. Is the whole game 30fps only or the animated parts are the only one that is 30fps and the notes are 60fps?

No it's all 30fps all the time.

You stop noticing it after a while playing. Don't let it make you avoid the game, it's not that big of a deal.

Does this mean that all songs will only cost 10 bucks?

Again, I think I have it clear which songs you get by default and which songs are available for purchase in the OP, and payment details will be in as soon as we have SEN links. The base package already has more than 30 songs, so you're not exactly lacking for content if you don't purchase the optional extra songs.

Picked up a $50 PSN card this morning on the way to work in preparation for Miku. Hopefully the store will be updated and ready to go by the time I get home.

I want to give a big "Thank You" to SEGA for doing the Vita version. For those of us who do most of our gaming on a handheld this is a really nice gift!
