Totally sucked back into D3 with these changes, the game is so much fun now. Took my Barb from 44 (where I left him from launch) to 52 last night, and got a ton of gear upgrades along the way. Right now I'm thinking the best course of action is to try to get as many characters to 60 as possible before the expansion hits, instead of focusing on Paragon levels or loot. That sound right?

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!

I'd go for the paragon levels, as it will always be pretty easy to power level a char to 60, but paragon levels have no upper cap.

Messed around with DH last night. Juggling like 3 stun skills to stun lock enemies was interesting. Started to switch out some of my rad gems for diamonds for extra survivability which boosted my ehp a lot.

Also sold a lot of my radiants for 22mil; not sure why people are buying them if they're going to end up dropping in expac..

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Ding! Paragon 100 :D (from paragon 1 when I started playing at 2.0 launch)

I'm personally leveling paragon levels with my 60's for now and saving the alts for the ladder seasons. I have two classes I've not hit 60 with yet (WD & DH) so I figure I'll just level those classes in the ladder seasons. Eventually they will roll into my "normal" roster with the rest of my 60's.

Dear Lord man, stop to breathe now and then!!!! I'm only Paragon 42 and that's with a character I made on launch day, LOL.

Which stun skills are you using? I can only think of the impale rune offhand.

vault w/ stun
cluster arrow w/ stun

I was messing with grenade+stun but switched back to cluster for hatred gen

I guess you could mix in impale too. It was pretty cool but I was only playing T1 so IDK if it would actually work.

Was using multi-shot for main dps. Cluster to stun then multishot when I ran out of hatred I'd vault through the group to stun them and use grenades to regen hatred then cluster shot and repeat. For elites I'd grenades and cluster every second or so then vault when I was low on hatred so I could start clustering again.

Jesus christ man...

Although getting up to P100 isn't that hard anymore as it once was when it was capped.

Also according to Mordran Splash damage is pretty good. Not that hard to get either since from Paragon points you can get 50% damage. You can easily have over 100% area damage from gear + Paragon points meaning if you crit + splash it will be doing more overall damage.

Watched Krip video.

Says he's going to give objective view that we all seem to desperately lack.

Talks all about his personal experiences.

Huh.

Is it capped at 100% or can you splash damage more than 100?

Also, you can't proc stuff off the area damage right?

All right so I just killed Skeleton King (after resetting quest) and got a legendary, so the patch did not fix the loot.

I am not sure its capped at 100%, no one has tried to take it past 100%. There is no mention of it so people are assuming its uncapped.

Not sure if you can proc stuff off of area damage either.

Looks like Blizzard is implementing Raticus' fix for experience gain from quests:

The experience bonus for completing a quest the first time and the first time after hitting the "Reset Quests" button has been increased.

The rewards for repeatedly completing the same quest (without utilizing the "Reset Quests" button) have been reduced.

Hi, I'm Nostraticus. You may remember me from other anonymous contributions, such as:
- give demon hunters a "lure" ability. (They got a set bonus that did it for spike traps)
- sleet storm's radius gradually increases as you channel. (posted on reddit, think it got archived)
- sweeping wind cyclones now travel in the direction of your attack instead of the direction you were facing when the spell was cast.

I think the retweet on this one might have done it, since Lylirra follows that person. The thread DrothVader had posted it in originally got deleted.

Then again, the turnaround was a bit quick for that and it's not like it's that obscure of a solution.

Shame they never comment on anything they plan to use. Too much drama involved I guess. Who knows?

Yeah, he conveniently left out that he was playing with massively increased drop rates and using a bugged skill that was dealing way more damage that it should have.

Kripp's basing his opinion on stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ygZnbFEdBg

He's on Torment 6, killing goblins in seconds and getting 3-4 legendaries on the same screen. That's not going to happen on Live.

Yeah, just as dumb as he's always been. It's kind of like towelliee, only popular because of being in the right place at the right time to achieve an early critical mass.

Actually played all the way through and beat Diablo III for the first time with Robin64. I didn't bother before because I didn't find the game much fun. I like loot and the loot that did drop wasn't very awesome and AH kinda killed any excitement for new pieces if I was just buying them.

So if their goal was to increase the number of people who finish and play through multiple times... 2.0 worked (for me at least).

Yea I asked in the US guild and was told it wasn't fixed. Tried it today myself to confirm. I think I'm going to take advantage of this while I can. My luck getting leg's is REALLY low compared to others, and this is from someone that runs t4 all the time (not like that really makes THAT much of a difference.) but yea. Going to kill this for the next couple of days. I love me some Act 1 anyway :D

My 2 cts:

I haven't played in ages, but it was nice to see some new gear drastically improve my numbers.
That said, would anyone have any advice on what monks should be looking for?

This was a set up I used for original Inferno back in the day, which was based on tanking damage and trying to use life on hit gear to try to catch up with the damage. I've been doing okay on Torment I, but I don't know how long that'll last.

My god yesterday was so fucking great, I love some of you guys!

I'm gonna be online from now and 15 more hours ahead. Hook. Me. UP, people!

Frozen Orb EVERYTHING!

I must be weird because I prefer Obliteration while everyone else says Frozen Orb. I tried FO but missed the speed and impact of Oblit. It's like BAM, BAM. Feels better to me.

Plus I use Temporal Flux, so those enemies are all getting slowed by the blast too.

i am under the impression you have to beat the game to reset your quests.

You do. It's not worth it IMHO, it is much better to simply play in four player games on Torment and slaughter masses of everything in sight. It's important in four player games to bust every barrel and vase and knick knack too, because with the extra MF you really stand a good chance of getting legendarys from non monster sources. I'll bet half of my legendaries so far since the patch have been from non-monster sources.

Okay, so what easy/good Wizard builds are people using now? I was geared for Archon pre-patch:

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/MrDaravon-1289/hero/36170682

Mostly just want to play Wizard when I play with my Wizard friends for shareable drops, since one of them literally just got the game so his 60 gear is complete trash, and the other one only is moderately geared, so trying to help out.

This is my wizard build right now:

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Mengy-1287/hero/1409641

I love it. Fast electrocute with paralysis both stuns mobs and refills my mana quickly. Which allows me to cast more frozen orbs. The hydra is great for continual damage while the mobs are bogged down by either being slowed or frozen from both the orbs and blizzards. And the familiar adds a respectable amount of damage since it fires so damn fast with electrocute, plus it helps with freezing mobs in place too. I've been doing great with this build, even against very tough elites. My only real problem is no escape skill like teleport, so wallers can lock me down into bad situations. Usually I can freeze them long enough to not be a problem though.

I can't wait to be able to play the Adventure Mode. After finishing the History so many times its kind boring to have to stick with it, specially when creating a new char.

However, the new difficult system is already a lot better imo.
Does someone know if they will add more Torment levels after Reaper of Souls? Because if we have people taking care of Tormento VI before RoS it may be pretty easy after that.

level 60 torment VI is very very very very very very very very very very easy compared to level 70 torment VI, you'll see ;)

But why? Do the new difficulty system balance itself by your level? I mean... Torment VI is different for a level 10, 60 and 70 characater?

Monsters scale with levels.

Oh, I see now! I didn't know that!
But what about a cooperative game with level 60 and level 70 players at the same room? How is that scaled?
Is this scaling after patch 2.0? Because I really didnt know that. LOL
It depends on the host. If a level 1 host creates the game on Paragon 6, the game is gonna have Paragon 6 enemies.

Yes, 2.0 change!
