Have you seen Titanfall (Xbox 360)?

Its like they dont want us to buy it or something.

More likely that the 360 version looks and/or runs like crap.
Seriously people always go on about Titanfalls graphics (and rightly so to an extent) but the game is the most hectic game i have ever played, there is so much shit going on and explosions going off that some times you just can't tell whats going on its that hectic.

I'd be super suprised if the 360 versions framerate isn't all over the place while also having considerably worse graphics than the X1 version.

So, basically, there's *nothing* we could use to judge the seemingly leaked copies of this game without the servers online? Could the title screen give any clues?

Beats me, but uh, remember guys you don't have to rush out and buy this day one. You can gamefly it or maybe wait for it to be at a redbox.

Pixel counters can use it to know the resolution of the game.

I can tell you've never played the glory manly games like Quake and Unreal Tournament if you think Titanfall is hectic.

Titanfall is plenty hectic, just as much as those two. I even cut my teeth on Quake II and OG Unreal MP before Q3A and UT, I have plenty of experience with the genre.

"Hecticness" is a pretty weird thing to compare in the first place, not really sure why you even went there.

I realize that UT and Q3A are still the golden standard for the genre, but sometimes people give them too much credit.

The original Quake was always better than Quake II. Plus QIIIA and UT are faster with the mods.

The reason those games are the gold standard is because they set standards of excellence. Something that Titanfall will never quite reach. Five years from now, those games will still have players. Titanfall? Probably gone for its sequel.

They're all great in their own ways.

Yep i have played them, in my youth. To be honest, i don't play much online anymore, i much prefer campaigns with stories and characters etc as i have got older so maybe i'm not upto date with current online games but Titanfall was hectic as hell to me when i played it at my friends house, just so much shit going on that i even jumped out of a fully working Titan because i was in the middle of a big fight and couldn't tell what was going on lol.

I personally expect the visual difference to match that of another Source Engine port between x360 and PC.Valve's Left 4 Dead 1&2.

They were not absolutely horrible, but the games were noticeably uglier on the 360. Still highly playable and fun.

Should just straight up ask them if they're being dodgy because of Microsoft.

it has more to do with the disproportionate amount of inflammatory comments coming from one side they're likely trying to hold off the floodgates until the game comes out at least then they can have both supporters and detractors point to the game rather than all speculative.

honestly theres no good outcome, if the 360 version turns out good they'll say the xb1 is terrible, if the 360 version turns out bad they'll say this game is terrible. sub720+30fps sounds like a reasonable expectation for last gen consoles but somehow its going to not be good enough now im predicting.

Respawn/EA hasn't been any better than Microsoft. They've handled their game extremely poorly from initial showing to release. Look at their alpha and beta tests, how leaked threads got most of the map and game info out to gamers, hell Vince didn't even know TitanFall became a forever MS exclusive game either.

It's crazy how we haven't gotten a single image of gameplay for the Xbox 360 version, the version that will probably outsell both the Xbox One and PC version combined, just by sheer numbers of Xbox 360 players still out there.

People who think its strange that we haven't got any info are dumb. They want people to buy an xbox one and titanfall for it. They realize that 90% of gamers don't have $600 to play a new game.

I'm pretty sure realizing the marketing strategy behind their decisions and finding their method of doing it odd aren't mutually exclusive.

No, while that was and still is pathetic, it was understandable. What is being found strange is the specific manner in which the 360 version is being officially discussed. MS began by quietly making bland promises about things that weren't generally cared about, continued by delaying a game that was already delayed by two weeks, abd recently, making their attempt to hide info from consumers blatantly and counterintuitively clear with the @Titanfallgame tweets.

It seems that this release date is real deal.

They're doing countdown on dashboard and xbox.com website.

So they won't push back.

They said the Xbox 360 version is fantastic. I hope that wasn't a lie.

If the 360 version was competent? You bet it would have outsold the 'Bone by a country mile.

The hype was all over the place and the average joe really isn't shelling out 500 extra dollars for a slightly sharper version of the same game. Microsoft played it extremely smart to delay it like this. Actually boost Xbone sales while the game is still hot as fire.

Now the game has gone kinda tepid and 360 sales are not going to be anything special.

It does seem unusual how quickly this game seems to have gone off the boil. I mean, the marketing in the two and three weeks before release was everywhere, but since then it seems to have gone really oddly quiet. At the very least I would have expected EA or Respawn to announce some sales goal or other has been exceeded, because I can't imagine it hasn't passed a significant milestone like 1 million or 2 million total sales yet.

I'd play Star Wars: Titanfall, where you can call down AT-STs from space and shit.

Ha ha, that sounds quite awesome! What could the Rebel vehicle be though? How about a rancor, and you ride on its shoulder? :)

I've found the marketing of this game to be pretty weird overall. I mean, up until about six weeks before release we had barely any footage or real information about the game's features. Respawn themselves seem to have been in the dark regarding EA & MS's publishing deals, the 360 version might as well not exist given how it's being treated and there's been so much confusion and miscommunication over the game and its features. I mean, the marketing has been prolific but I'm just not sure it's been all that effective. MS's involvement has meant that 'Have you seen Titanfall' has become a meme in itself.

It's Respawn I feel sorry for. The moment MS paid for it to not release on PlayStation platforms was the moment Titanfall's potential was scuppered. And Bluepoint too; their release of the game is being treated like a redheaded stepchild that won't get a fraction of the marketing of its bigger brothers.

Is there any precedent for this? The game is out in 3 days and we've yet to see a single screen shot. Shit, it's even leaked early at some retailers and still nothing.

WTF?

Are oak trees really humble or elegant? Not two words I would use to describe them. They're big, strong and immovable; they're workmanlike so you'd want to build a shield or a table or a door out of one. I wouldn't want to build a shield out of Titanfall 360. Looks like it would break apart with one axe or mace blow.
