Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Oh wow, so Sakurai even calls the WiiU and 3DS versions "4" and "5."

Guess that makes SSB6 something else entirely. Arcade version?

As said in the other thread, my hypotesis on the matter is the following one, if it turns out to be something concrete

Smash Bros. 6 is basically Smash Bros "4+5": all the content from both SKUs (so, stages, modes, trophies, collectables), with some exclusive stages and 2-3 exclusive characters. Not releasing on 3DS and Wii U, but next handheld, and that launches in late 2015. So, the wrong part of the resume would be the one about consoles, not the others.

Probably, it's not this, not at all...but who knows :lol

SSB6 is probably Super Smash Bros. Ridley Edition, an arcade exclusive. The reason being it requires a battery of 100 or so supercomputers working together to process the sheer size of Ridley, so only arcades can practically accommodate it.

If it isn't all just a mistake, I think the most likely possibility is that SSB6 would be a sequel for Smash 4/5 that they're already starting to work on to release next year.

It makes sense if you think about the lack of 3rd parties on Wii U and such. So pushing forward a second Smash game one year after the previous one could become a realistic choice to get big titles out quickly. It'd kill the legs of Smash WiiU/3DS, but I think the most important thing would be keeping big titles coming.

As long as they don't do things like tweaking all past animations all over again, and the development of the current games doesn't have any problems, an annual Smash sequel, building upon them, should be possible.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
I am not okay with annual releases where DLC expansion packs would be a better fit.

Where can I watch this?

EDIT: FUCK, I'M 24 HOURS EARLY

If you could pick one newcomer and veteran for tomorrow, who would it be?
For me: Palutena and Captain Falcon.

I'd say Mii and Yoshi, but I think Ness and Captain Falcon will be shown too.

Also, Sakurai is simply following the aging process for Asian women:

My hopes:

Chrom replaces Ike
Lucina added for more female content

Shulk or the main character from X to bring hype for the release of X (kind of like how Raiden was in PSABR 3 months before MGR:R release) or both
Wonder Red
Bayonetta

Dream come true. More FE characters is good imo.

Hmm, this theory sounds actually realistic.

The internet has conditioned me to believe that this post is
has to be
a fake edit, but LOLOL.

Replacing Ike is already a nope, but then we're replacing him to add two psuedo Marths? :p

Keep Ike and gib Anna and/or Robin pls.

I can already see this being hecka disappointing, just like every other direct for the last year and a half. In fact, I can't see it not being disappointing. I think my hype has finally been killed.

Wow, those past 24 hours were the longest of my life, and I still have one more day to endure >.<
Not feeling any hype for the moment, 4 days is 2 days too long. Hopefully the last few hours will bring back crazy GAF so everyone will be excited again.

It seem to have gone by fast for me lol

I just want a release date and at least 3 new reveals for the game

I dont believe Smash Bros is delayed but the only way Nintendo can get away with delaying it to me is if they have Zelda WiiU and Metroid U ready for this year

I'm going to go crackpot ideal of Mio (Fatal Frame 2, which Nintendo recently published the remake for and did a Direct on and everything), and ROB.
