It's funny, coz Masuda has been counting down to today for the last 3-4 days on Twitter, posting stuff in Japanese like 'Oh, it's 11PM. Time for bed! 3!!' Always mentioning that it's 11pm, and a number. Thought it was weird...

Wow, crazy! These were obviously coming eventually, but I expected an E3 announcement with a release date next year.

I picked up Emerald pretty late and I don't really have a lot of nostalgia for it or anything, so I don't know why I'm excited for this, but I am. Hell, after XY, going back to a world with only one regions's worth of Pokemon could easily feel like a big step back so I hope they're really packing in the features this time. No excuse for another lame postgame this time.

The weird code he had put at the end of a few tweets was the date put backwards, in hiragana. turned into romaji, too.

If I'm not mistaken, it's
FRLG/RSE +2 years> HGSS/DPP> BW +2 years> XY
So a remake could take place in the XY timeframe and be set long after RSE.

IF the region is Hoenn. Im still under the impression it's a different region because of the lack of mentioning Hoenn specifically. Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza all were able to appear in Hoenn, so legendaries aren't necessarily tied a specific region.

ITT, I've learnt that experienced gaffers casually refer to Pokemon as "mons".

Anyway, I won't pretend I've really played a Pokemon game since Gold (when I was like 10 or 11), but I picked up X last fall. I've been slowly working my way through it... I really dig the aesthetic. Maybe I'll get this too.

The only pattern is that there will be a Pokemon game.

Yeah, the only region getting as much references was Kanto. Let's not forget that X and Y opened up with the Torchic event, and Lati@s stones being present in the data.

It doesn't exactly bother me, more like I'm surprised that people are surprised at all.

Those people were being silly. There was always going to be a Pokemon game this year. It was going to either be R/S or Z/X2/Y2.

I really hope it's still Hoenn (plus more?), that's like a huge part of making the game awesome.

Normally I'd pick Torchic, but I could transfer one from XY, so I'll go with Treecko. Sorry Mudkipz.

Framerate not to drop to slideshow when I turn 3D on in battle (That better happen)

Anyone notice Kyogre has the Greek symbol for Alpha on it (as does the Japanese logo), and Groudon has the Greek symbol for Omega on it?
