With the new Nvidia drivers SLI is finally working and gives quite the performance boost.

Stuttering with SLI is also gone.

G2A key emailed roughly 60 minutes back. Though those who ordered after mid may seems they may be waiting until tomorrow judging by the email update a week or so ago (I pred on 21 April, just missed the origin India deal).

Curious on benches to compare the 3gb vs 4gb vs 2gb of the 680/770 series to 780/780ti on similar cpu with ultra texture quality.

Hoping to play in 3D though judging from sli titan benchmarks in 2D it won't be easy.

For kicks and due to being amongst friendly fire in previous thread, lest we forget:

lol.

So much for us lot in the I need a new PC thread recommending i5s still, what terrible advice. Good to see all those AMD threads being put to use...
As I expected, rumors of the 2500k's death have been greatly exaggerated. Much ado over nothing indeed.

Yep, and im glad most of us in the PC build thread kept hammering i5's over the AMD 8 cores. The i7 which are only 4 cores 8 threads, still out perform AMD's true 8 core due to superior clock for clock performance.

I installed the new drivers and Watch Dogs yesterday and I had severe stuttering at times on my GTX 680 SLI setup.

Another thing: how come the WD install dir is only 14GB compared to the 30GB that was previously reported and the 40GB install size for next gen versions?

Do you have 3GB on each card and are you using Ultra textures?

I had terrible stuttering with the old drivers but the new ones are much better.

Can someone with the game tell me what they see under C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\data\274 ?
I am trying to install the game from files (instead of downloading it slowly), but uplay is being a shit.

I've got SLI 780s and am still getting the stuttering too...
Its really weird because I only get it when using SLI, not with a single card.

My rig is an i5 2500k, 16 GB of RAM with a 7850...you guys think I should go PC or xbone? Any benchmarks out there for a similar set up?

Is anyone else getting a kind of image retention after playing for a while? Very noticeable when panning the camera, and the only way to fix it is to restart the game it seems. I'm running a 690 in SLI, newest drivers, Windows 8.1. I'll try to get a screenshot the next time it happens.

That always seemed a bit suspect considering that the PS4 CPU probably scores around 3000 points in that benchmark :p
Are there any reasonably accurate Jaguar benchmarks out there? Would be interesting to see. As I've said in the past, I'd be surprised if the PS4 CPU could beat a stock 2500k in anything at all, maybe not even with nearly perfect multi thread scaling.

i5-2320, GTX 670 2GB and 8GB of RAM.

Game stutters a LOT while driving but it seems ok when on foot. This is with all settings on high and SMAA at 1920x1080 borderless.

I can't tell what my frame rate is though because Watch Dogs refuses to launch with any OSD app running in the background.

I wonder if the older low end GPUs (like GTX 570, GTX 680..ect) can match PS4 performance at the same resolution (1600x900) at high setting. anyone here with an older card willing to test?

Do not use temporal smaa. Works?

My i7 3770k, GTX 770 4GB and 8GB of RAM are working flawlessly on everything ultra bar shadows, which I've turned to medium because shadows annoy me a lot in games. Get an occasional stutter but nothing big. Looks gorgeous and I just love walking around the city soaking in the atmosphere.

Everything just feels alive and wanting to be looked at which is just great for an open-world game. Ubisoft has done a very good job with this PC version, and gives me hope for their future titles.

Well, the GTX 680 is not a low end GPU and should not be included in such a comparison.

i7-4770k
8GB Ram
GTX 680 (2GB)
1440 X 900 monitor

Everything is on Ultra except for textures on high.

Runs beautifully. I didn't have Fraps running, but I didn't notice any stuttering or massive drops. The only problem I had was trying to drive a car with keyboard and mouse. I'll have to get the XBox controller dongle out tonight.

Game runs barely acceptable on powerful hardware. Very good job! /s

At 720p and a mix of medium and high settings I get about 30fps. Use TXAA 2x to make 720p tolerable.

Anyone else have this kind of bug after the game runs a while? It's like another image is flickering all the time, its kinda annoying.

i7-4770k
8GB Ram
GTX 670 (2GB) SLI

The game runs prefectly fine if not for that bug, a little stuttering sometimes but far from unplayable.

Out to sea currently and wondering what kind of performance should I expect for this game on my Y510P. i7 4700MQ, 8GB ram and SLI 750M's.

Performance for me was slightly disappointing. I had to drop my overclock to 3.6ghz because it's starting to get too hot in my room at all time, causing my temps to get a bit higher than I like.

i7 920 @ 3.6ghz HT Disabled
12GB Ram
Radeon HD5870 Crossfire

Medium textures due to only having 1GB of VRam. Using Medium preset is the only way I can keep 30fps, and even then it sometimes drops into the mid 20s, that's with the new AMD drivers.

I'm wondering if those drivers just don't do anything for the 5000 series, because I get roughly the same performance when I disabled crossfire.

So does it still look like a i7 4770k is worth buying over a i5 4670k for just gaming?

I only ask, because the current stats look like there's very little difference between the two.

It's not a bug, that's a side-effect of using temporal anti-aliasing. In this game the solutions with a temporal component are Temporal SMAA and TXAA, I believe.

Did anyone else try that Large Page file fix that was posted in the old performance thread? Or the pagefilecheck shortcut command? I'm curious if they are actually helping or if it's a placebo effect.
