Ive still yet to have that happen. Must be due to me usually having the AI set to focused attack. Even on the default though they dont seem to. Since I usually run with 2 other healers its odd that it has yet to happen
Well, you can always use the 蘇生優先 to make reviving fallen teammates top priority.
I must try it myself, I wonder if it will help with ignoring the accessories.

Yeah Im pretty sure I switched that on once and everyone was just standing around lol so went back to the usual.
Ill try to run a whole match like that and see what happens later today.
Do know what you mean about dead accessories all over the place. That usually happens if they go running off on their own and fight another abductor without me around.

Finally managed to get my card off the vita. had to switch back to the vita from the PSV TV then use the content manager to load it on the pc. My play time is a few hours of the PSV TV just sitting around doing nothing while I took care of other things around the apartment. Its great since you dont have to worry about parts wearing out or it overheating.

As you can see from the data Ive killed a lot of things lol. Thanks to that Ive amassed a pretty insane stock of weapons and materials.

Really wished they let us place the decals wherever we wanted. Since the preset locations suck.

I just finished 5-8 (thanks to doing all those hard quest I have only 947,114 years left!), which was a huge arena fight with 3 abductors and set the NPCs to reviving.
It was awesome, no one (including me) stayed dead longer than a few seconds and everyone was reviving everyone.
Nina picked me up - since she's has a red thorn, this is the confirmation that anyone can revive you if given the proper order.

Very cool to hear, will have to switch to that then, when i start noticing dead characters around, that Im unable to get to currently.

I've had it happen to me quite often on the standard command. I'm not sure if it varies from character, wouldn't make sense to give different characters of the same class different priorities, but it feels like some characters are more likely to do certain things. Beatrice is very quick to revive and heal, more so than matthias. She often rushes to revive me when I'm not too far away. Beatrice <3. Nobody will revive your accessory though </3.

As for Nina, because she's using a small sword, she likes jumping onto abductors and cutting things off. She even rescued my accessory from the Tiger with 5 Seconds left on the clock while I lay dead on the floor, after some sort of odd double dragdown/ko. It's times like this that you appreciate the PS4's share function.

I'm having a lot of fun. I'm at code 6 now with 22.5 hours clocked and 942,000 years on my sentence. I don't find the game unfairly tough. It's a busy game since there are a lot of enemies that shoot at you. I like to do shingeki type rushes on human enemies and snipers. I find it the easiest way to hunt them down when they're running around. Either running + attack to do a quick wide area forward slash or lock-on, ibara + triangle, immediately ibara again for a return slash, repeat until dead. You can even press triangle to slash even though your ibara isn't on the enemy, so long as you're flying in their general direction. It uses up your ibara gauge quickly but that's what the recharge points are for.

I've had an easier time ever since they introduced boosters and we get to up our defense a bit. The healers use their first and second charge ibara quite often but I don't think I've ever seen the defense support (??) characters use theirs? I've also not seen the first charge of the attack ibara used, only the second.

And yes, keep your accessory and healers close. I tried letting my team take the spider while I distracted the Tiger to disastrous results in the special mission. I kept dying with no one to revive me and used up my 5 respawn chances, resulting in a loss. Nobody told me special volunteers are a one chance only thing! How often do they appear?

What's interesting, I've noticed that one of the NPCs started carrying the civilian without me ordering her to do it. Best order ever? (If you don't have to fight 100 enemies at once). This only happened once though, after that I had to carry the civilians myself.

Yeah I usually have my NPCs carry civilians. When its multiple I order my ACC to do it and if the NPCs are set to the default they will also pick them up on their own. I noticed for example Marie and Ann perform rescues a lot. Since they are usually with me.

I wonder if you use the hate increase boost you can keep the attention of most enemies on you while dropping a shield at the same time allowing for your NPC to make it back without a lot of trouble.

The first charge ibara for the capture type is pretty useless anyways against AI unless you know the exact pathing routes lol. But you are right, I have yet to see the defensive types put up the barrier. Though I could imagine on stages where AI needs to pass through doorways its useful. Then again Id just put AP landmines down in that case :D

Wow, the mission to advance to code 6 was pretty hectic, due to the sheer number of Abductors in it and a lack of first aid pack replenishing boxes.

Edit:
During the mission above, I had my npcs set to resurrecting and to be honest it's a very bad choice if you want to kill an abductor quickly. Surprisingly often they were just standing there... waiting for someone to die, I guess?
In the end I switched to "attack" and ordered them to ress when I got knocked out.

The hate system is good in a sense, it allows you to kite abductors from their starting position away from other abductors so you can take em on one at a time.

Damn, those Code 6 additional missions are brutal. Just finished the first one with 1:55 on the clock... Need stronger weapons.
By the way, I've found this useful wiki page where you can check where a material you need is given as a quest reward.

Just switched my ranged weapon to a sniper rifle and loving the ranged combat a lot more. Getting those critical shots feels great.

Since the other ranged enemies are too stupid to close the gap at times makes ones life a lot easier on wide open stages. :D

Keep in mind that I have no idea how accurate that link is.

Regardless of that, you are now officially famous and quoted in a category of the OT. lol

Ill have to print the list out later on, maybe tomorrow night. Need to sleep soon anyways. D:

So far I have not found anything unfair.

I think what might be the problem is those who are unfamiliar to third person shooters will have trouble against human enemies. Due to getting the shit shot out of them or using weapons not suited for the levels.

Pretty much there has been nothing I considered difficult. But thats coming from the standpoint of someone that is a veteran of TPS, FPS mindset, Hunting genre.

Also now you have to make good use of the friendly AI also. While the default AI is ok, there are times when you can do much better by using specific commands to both your partner and the team.

Im generally for the most part a solo player in the genre.

Most of them do mention that. Getting shot at and frustrating AI. Thats a relief for me then.
Thanks for all the replies.

The game is pretty well balanced, though there is one thing specifically that might irritate people is getting hit with the sticky web. Since jamming the buttons doesnt seem to free you. I tried freeing a fellow member stuck with my melee weapon that didnt seem to work either. Need to try the ibara next. Or look if there is a specific item or boost to help lessen the time as its pretty damned long. D: Its pretty serious considering how much damage you can take from the spider enemy with its various attacks. D: Since it covers a wide area too with its legs can heavily wound or kill a large group of friendly characters that are stuck. You know I should try bringing the flame thrower and see if that burns the webs off. Which might be what the solution to removing the webs are. As there is no friendly fire in this game. One other reason why its a lot easier than other titles. There is no FF for both melee and ranged weapons.

Truthfully I think a lot of players in the West will feel a bit more at home with the title considering how many various action games people play.

There's a booster which completely nullifies the effect of the web, quite easy to make.
I can get why getting stuck between two or more abductors can be irritating for a lot of players. I know that you shouldn't stay on the ground, but the npcs don't whatever you order them, so they just keep on dying. Yes, the game can be frustrating at times.
Almost done with the extra missions in code 6, have only one left. Sadly, my accessory got captured by one of the tigers (it's nearly impossible to get to that cage without stunning it) so I have to get her back first.

With the stronger enemies I bring a shitton of different explosives, since those things seem to rip open the cages pretty good if you can get the enemy knocked down first.

Thats great to hear about the booster, will have to get that. As currently am constantly doing spider runs just to gather parts. Plus doesnt take me too long to kill for the decent payout and large number of parts I get per run. :D Really wished that the ibara would pick up dropped parts too, similar to items / boxes on the map. But guess its since the parts dont have any physical properties is why your ibara cant be used to pick them up. D:

Managed to upload another vid of footage recorded earlier this weekend.

Any easier and every abductor in the game is going to be a stationary bullet sponge.

The abductors who have multiple cages pretty much you can turn them into stationary bullet sponges by constantly breaking the cages over and over which creates a stun lock. lol If you use a pretty highly upgraded / customized nailgun its easy to do. Hell even without that constant frags on the chest solves the problem.

Phew, code 7 unlocked. I can't wait for the special missions waiting for me here...
Luckily, the one required to advance was super easy.

I've updated my screenshot folder with a few new pictures. Again, some pick ups:

Edit:
Two new things I've learned today:
1. You can completely cut off tiger abductor's legs (at least the front ones).
2. You can destroy rockets coming at you with your bullets.

I usually start shooting way too close, which leads to me being hit by rockets. :p

I think the minigun that Ann uses is the best currently for shooting down missiles and such. Since it has a much wider spread at a distance. The other one you need to be pretty exact on the missile as its a more concentrated stream.

The chainsaw blade is great, do hope that there will be a different model later on in the game. Am currently using that happy chopper or something short blade that I got upgraded pretty good with modules. Got lucky and seems to do a good amount of damage too when going after parts with it.

The thing that hurts the most currently which the abductors have is either the cannon arms or the abductor that has the massive cannon for a head. D:

Stage 2-1 was my breaking point. Will give the game another shot when online multiplayer content is added.

Nice music and art direction though.

Yeah, that minigun also seems to have more bullets which is a plus !

Started using the sticky grenade launcher. That deals so much damage and its good to have it stick on all the parts that are hard to hit when the abductor goes into rage D:

I've been meaning to ask this question: I've seen some NPCs with fist weapons, are those useable by the player (please say yes)?

Finally got around to trying the demo I downloaded a while ago. Even though I can't understand the language at all, the gameplay was easy and solid enough to figure out. And the whip/tether thing is especially satisfying for movement and more offensive purposes. Is it also something that levels up along with your character and weapons?

The further you get in the game and up your rank, you need to purchase the right to use a higher level version of it.

But who knows, maybe it's an end-game weapon and unlock-able, we'll find out ;)

Aww, I hope it does end up being in there. It was the weapon type I was most excited about after seeing NPCs with them.

you are not the only one trust me haha. though perhaps in a content update. as the animations exist and currently there is no fast type of striking damage weapon while for cutting, pierce and we have small blades and spears.

I wouldn't get my hopes too high - that's a kind of thing that you use in promoting your game, since it might make more people want to play it.

actually thats incorrect and the opposite. there has not been a game from the majority of the big name titles in the genre that has shown off a weapon not accessible to the player.

marketing of useable weapons is what gets folks to pick up a title and companies know this.

if anything id really say that it would show up in an expansion. make me wonder if it got cut out of the game currently to scheduling. seeing how they did not have infrastructure mode ready from the get go also would be a pretty good sign that yhey were on a tight schedule. esp after learning how negative fans reacted to the long delays with god eater 2s infrastructure mode release.

I'm not saying it won't come out later. I'm just saying that we shouldn't expect it to be an unlockable thing that's already in the game, because that would be weird.
An expansion of some kind? Sure, that sounds plausible.

Man, the extra missions in code 7 are starting to give me problems. And there are rmajor pathfinding issues in 6-7. Apparently no one can hop over those barricades. Your accessory has to make one big round back to you if it ends up on the other side. Even the Togabito characters forget they have Ibara. It's especially fun to see everyone die and spend a minute trying to make their way back to the area the paradoxer is stuck in. Orz

Yeah, 6-7 was pretty stupid in that regard. It also felt like everyone was ignoring my orders during that mission.

I've made a pretty sweet rarity 7 damascus blade - the strongest (?) short sword available so far, but I need some low lv materials to upgrade it, sigh. I hope it cuts better than the saw blade.
