Found this sweet level 10 hunter arm I wish I could use.

Took down the Devil Walker by myself in explore mode.

It'd be awesome if in the future we had some fights where it walked around.

The game needs a minimap with active Public Event locations marked on it. The last time I came across one was in the alpha :/

Is there any concrete info on what's going to be in the final game as far as maps and features. I'm not sure if we're supposed to be expecting it to have content similar to a popular fps or an mmo. My guess is popular fps since it's not subscription based.

We knows that there's most likely 5 planets, but not how big each are. 5 strikes are assumed as well, 1 for each planet. Maps are anyone's guess considering planet's not in-game could appear. Right now 7 is most likely minimum.

I'm a little disappointed with the story missions, I know its only the beta but I hope they are a bit more significant in the final game. There is almost no difference between the main story and side missions.

Well everyone loved Scarabs and those things usually stood still too...

Bungie's animators must not wanna key all those legs

I think I read somewhere that there will be 10 strikes at launch.

You could coax the scarabs to walk out of their usual spot.

The soundtrack is...sogood.gif

I caught myself wanting to stop fighting during the last story mission and just soak up the theme, but getting shot from all sides kinda ruined that.

Let's hope someone rips the music so I can listen to the last mission's awesome last fight theme over and over again. ;)

*sigh* Picked up a nearly dead pike someone had left laying around in pvp and went on a 10 kill streak. So OP.

Is the number of vanguard marks in the beta borked? I keep getting 'em in exploration missions and in bounties but I only have six of them in my inventory.

Got this weapon this morning, my new favorite weapon solely because of the ability:

Bit upset that I probably wont be able to keep this weapon after the beta is over. Hopefully this particular weapon isnt too rare.

Those aren't actually the marks that you use to buy equipment with. That's the reputation that you earn with your class's vanguard to be able to unlock emblems and stuff. It isn't explained very well, which hopefully gets addressed.

I see, thanks.

Can anyone explain this design decision?

Special Weapon Ammo Loss video

You have ammo for your special weapon. Be it a shotgun, sniper, or heavy weapons like the rocket launcher or machine gun. You got 5 rounds. Then you decide that the situation calls for a different kind of weapon. So you switch from your options menu. However, you have zero ammo for it. Whatever, you haven't used that weapon in a while so ammo might not be saved. You switch to your previous special weapon that did have ammo. Oh wait, all that ammo has disappeared.

I don't like this decision. It discourages you switching from the set 2-weapon limit. It doesn't occur with the primary weapons, but sometimes you need something from the special/heavy weapons bracket. You CAN equip many weapons at a time, but you'll lose all the ammo for it, so you'll have to start again grinding enemy kills for ammo.

Is there a list somewhere of all the differences between classes?

Not looking for a list of spells and abilities, I mean what are the fundamental differences between the three classes - like how the jumping is different, moving speed, shields and recharge rate etc.

I've done the level 6 strike mission three times, all failures. First two times the strike team was all level 5's and 6's, failed horribly. Came back at level 7, one guy left before the climax, failed on the final few enemies due to lag. I'm seriously considering letting my nephews play roam and earlier missions until my character is maxed before even bothering with it again.

I hope it's a bug but I dunno.

It's to make the special weapons more balanced. Or so Bungie says. Id rather just have it for PvP and not PvE.
