Honestly, I'm getting a little bored of the constant indie quicklooks and indie unprofessional friday segments. Indie quicklooks are great but it's almost all they've done all summer long. MGS1 and/or mario party 2 would be greatly appreciated to mix things up a bit more.

Just have Dan do a Persona Endurance Run. 3 or 4, either one would be cool. Or a Shin Megami Tensei ER.
I think he mentioned on a previous show (last week's UPF, maybe?) that they gave him one to try out. He still has his other phone too.

Which is why I was praising Dan's idea of playing of MGS1 or Mario Party 2. Just a lot more stuff like that in general during these down times in the release schedule.
It'd definitely warrant a QL but that ship has sailed at this point, I think.
Also, the mission design turns pretty bad fairly quickly.

That phone apparently has one of the worse user interfaces ever conceived... I'm shocked he bought it, I always thought he was pretty much down on Android. Well, outside of ripping into the Ouya (justifiably so).

Man, people in the chat suggesting & voting on games have no idea what they're doing. Unless they're trolling themselves by picking stuff that's not fun to watch? Both these Steam voting UPFs have been pretty poor for that reason.

If you want to people to learn the intricacies of your combat system you should give them a reason to do so. I doubt you'd get a 300+ hit combo in DMC hitting one button repeatedly.

I had never even heard of most of the games voted on. I guess that probably applies to quite a few people too, and they probably just picked the game with the dumbest name.
But yeah, this UPF was a tough watch.

I think each game after the first will have great reactions, the weird story direction each game goes in is pretty great.
Also I want to see Drew vs The End so badly.

Nah, they shot it before Dan and Jason left.
A couple weeks isn't that long. Especially considering Drew is pretty much a full time editor now who does a bit of producing. Jason is in LA and will have to cut whatever they shoot there, plus the regular content like QL's.
Only so many hours in the day.

It's definitely something they shot before they left (on Wednesday) but I can see it taking a while to edit if it's, say, of a similar complexity to the GOTY stuff or something. That stuff took a while for Drew and Vinny to get together, with all of their effort focused on that - this seems like something they're just trying to get together in their spare time between normal content.
I think Jeff was just guessing that is could take a couple of weeks. Sounds like they shot the raw footage and he is letting the production staff cut it together around their regular work load. They could probably knock it together in a day but then they would have to stop normal production duties to get it done.
While I'm loving the output of the new multi-office Giant Bomb, it feels weird that the offices never interact. I can't think of anything besides the Velvet Sundown session. Do you think this is something they are waiting to do once Beast is fully set up, or do they intend to keep the offices separated?

Metal Gear ENDURANCE should be the series' name, without it being a true endurance run. It's exactly the sort of behaviour a Metal Gear game calls for.

Thats what theyre playing because thats all thats out right now. Summers used to be completely dead at GB before they finally started picking out random games on Steam like Ive been seeing people suggest every summer for years.
I am sure they will interact when the opportunity presents but there are number of hurdles - such as how shitty video chat can be, that Alex and Vinny are not in the office every day and that there is a 3 hour time difference - so both offices are only available for a narrow window in the afternoon.
I would like to see some type of BEast vs BWest content, They can compete for a trophy or make small bets that lead to more video content.

Pretty much done with the Persona 4 ED, it's a shame how people had to spoil them on most of the stuff.
How far did you get? I don't remember any parts being ruined because they were spoiled, but it did get super obvious towards the end that they knew about >>P4 SPOILERS>>

the true ending and fighting the real final boss, and how to get to that point, as well as knowing right what to say to not throw that guy in the tv
Plus someone in the comments (yes i read them for some reason) stated that someone sent Jeff a comic that pretty much spoiled it all like 3/4th of the way through their playthrough.
