Even Nintendo doesn't want to release games on Wii U.
Also wireless. What about the TVC fightstick? is that also wireless?
You of all people should know how Namco works. Arcade First, Wii U Later.Even Nintendo doesn't want to release games on Wii U.
The music in the trailer is a remix of Finalizer from Tekken 5

This only makes me hope there is more of this. Tekken music is the best.
That's cool and all, but it would be weird if they flooded the game with Tekken music after stating that this game is not just a Tekken reskin. I would like it if the music were Tekken-style remixes of pokemon music.
I'm glad all the Pokken hype was regarded. I haven't played Tekken in years so I have no idea if I actually enjoy the mechanics this game will have but I hope it's fun!
Looks pretty bland and cheap, background looks like something someone could muster up with a collection of free 3d assets... but in Harada we trust.
So I made an image of my "roster" for it. Of course I don't expect it to have 99 pokémons in the final version of the game, this is more a collection of pokés that I think could be interesting in this style of fighting.
Plus an mockup of character selection screen
It depends on a few factors, but I doubt the game will even be out in time for Evo to consider it.So this is going to be at Evo in 2016, right?

AHAHKSDHKJSHGKH! NEW POKEMON FIGHTING GAME!!! THERE IS A GOD!!!!how was that?
There will more than likely be a new stick released when the game comes out.So is this basically confirmed to be releasing on Wii U? If so, I'm thinking about getting a cheap fighting stick for Tekken Tag Team, TvC, and this.
Don't want to end up getting two sticks if Pokken isn't coming to Wii U though. What say you, GAF?
Hopefully one that connects via USB or through the GameCube Adapter. None of that Wii Remote port bullshit. There will more than likely be a new stick released when the game comes out.

Awesome!It's coming to WiiU
Do you think it'll be compatible with the Wii U Tekken stick? Think I'll just buy one Tekken stick now (to play Tekken TT2) and get the Pokken stick if they release a new one to go with the game. There will more than likely be a new stick released when the game comes out.
I have an idea for a potential replacement to the high/low system.
Blocking is done by a guard button. This is known in-game as Protect. Like in the actual games, Protect will block anything on the first hit. For every hit in the blockstring afterward, however, the amount of time you are allowed to hold block decreases, just like how in the RPGs Protect has an increasing chance of failure for each use. At a certain point you pretty much have to time your blocks to the exact moment the opponent the opponent attacks, a la parrying. At this point you're in a rough spot. You have to make sure you don't get baited into using a bad block by your opponent mixing up their attack timing. To avoid this, you can block fast attacks, or when your opponent is using a slow attack to throw you off, take advantage and sidestep or backdash out of the way and punish.
I'm thinking too hard about this.
Awesome!

Please no.

But Pokemon music got nothing on Tekken. :/
Electric Fountain
Your Sunset
Moonlit Wilderness
^ Version 3
Original School theme
Just to give a few examples.
I'm not saying it should all just be remixes of old Tekken music.
New music but with an infused flavor of Pokemon and Tekken.
Man I hope Pangoro is in
Y'all, this is definitely coming to Wii U. "It's coming to arcades first." Pretty much implies that.
It would be smart for the pokemon company to not lose money making a wii u version
During the reveal stream one of the dudes who's working on this game, said what Trago is quoting. And then followed up with a, paraphrasing here, 'I probably shouldn't have said that.'The official English trailer on youtube says "Planned for Arcade release in Japan in 2015". There is no "first" there. The official Japanese website also says nothing more than "planned for Arcade release in 2015".
