Massive eShop Sale in Celebration of Super Smash Bros 3DS

Sale is on, will try to see if FE:A DLC is discounted.

Fingers crossed.

EDIT: Nevermind, the site is on but the eShop still have the old prices.

Man this sale really starts with a bang and ends with a whimper. Oh well, should have grabbed SML3D a second time while I had the chance.

I wish that game would just become a 3DS 'Classic' with the price permanently $20.

I'm not too impressed with what week 2 has to offer, but I already own almost everything marked down, so I guess it's my own fault.

A lot of these are recommended if you don't already own them. Uprising is definitely the best bang for your buck, and while the eShop prices are still pretty high for the virtual console stuff, it's worth it to grab what you like seeing how rare sales are.

is there anyway to track the price history - that would help with purchase decisions
EDIT: and also whether they were featured as a Club Nintendo reward

Sorry, but these are disappointing discounts.

$30 isn't much of a discount. $15 is.

Disappointing considering the big release and celebration of Smash Bros release.

How big are the A Link Between Worlds and the Uprising files? I might go and buy one of those. No Ocarina of Time has me feeling down though. :(

Who are you apologizing to? As far as eShop discounts on Nintendo games go, they don't get much better than this. As sad as that may be, it presents a nice opportunity for people who don't own some of these games already, because their chances of seeing a deeper discount likely won't happen until far into the future, if ever.

I personally have never bought a digital 3DS or Wii U game that was available at retail, but people would be wise to acknowledge how high the prices of physical copies of games like Kid Icarus: Uprising have gone lately and factor that into their purchasing decision. I paid $30 used for that game complete in box a few months ago, and you'd be lucky to find the cartridge alone for that price today.

Hmm, do I wanna double dip for KIU? Isn't it $30 normally on eShop? $5 off doesn't seem like much. Guess I hold on to my retail until it gets a bigger sale (which considering Nintendo sale, like never). Like the last sale I already have everything I wanted.

Buying Fire Emblem Awakening. Link Between Wolrds sounds tempting, but I have played way more Zelda titles than Fire Emblem ones, so...
Mega Man X and X2 worth it? I know X is really good, but I don't think I ever played X2.
X2 is almost as good as X imo. I would say go for it.

All I hope is that Tomodachi goes for like $25 since it's already $35 digitally.

Not seeing Fire Emblem on the VC makes me lose hope for Zero Mission to appear in the Metroid deals.

Have like $7 on my eShop account at the moment. Minish Cap or one of the Oracle games? Played a little of Minish Cap and thought it was pretty good; haven't played either Oracle game.

Got Oracle of Seasons from the ALBW promo. Considering picking up OoA even though I haven't started OoS.

Or maybe I should replay Minish Cap? I loved MC.

Minish cap is one of the easiest Zelda games out there ... and the Oracles are one of the hardest (NES excluded)

I guess this means I'm getting a $20 eShop card instead of a Steam one from Target, haha.

In for probably LttP and Mega Man X, skipping on 3ds VC since the U VC is what will apparently be used going forward.

How is the pacing at Minish Cap compared to other games of the series? Thats pretty much the only issue I have with Zelda.

The Oracle games are legitimate high-tier Zelda and no one would argue with people that consider them their favorites.

For someone who's new to the Zelda series, are the Oracle games recommended? I believe I have A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS (never opened so I don't remember). I just don't know which of the Zelda games I should play first that will get me into the series.

What's the length/replay value for Kid Icarus Uprising?

Huge on both accounts. Tons of levels, adjustable difficulty levels (which sometimes unlock new parts of a level) & there's a loot system where you get new weapons & power-ups & can even merge them to create different weapons. Also, there's multiplayer but I haven't touched that.
