Id run a club, but it must be made up of people who have played racing games forever..but still suck sometimes..but sometimes catch lightning in a bottle and are just plain old fast as heck.

Team name - Almost 40 but Fast

it will be a half serious attempt at world domination..and it may just work..sometimes.

Still haven't sorted out your place in the Official spreadsheet with TheWorthyEdge? Also, gotta figure out in which region/division Racers Sans Frontieres will end up (I'm fine with any, since I'll probably be playing the game during all times of the day).

Well, I've given him the hard facts already, right?
He doesn't seem to care updating the mother sheet accordingly, and I couldn't care less because anyone can see I'm right.
So, unless he explicitly tells me that he doesn't want to see me here and to get the fuck out, I consider I'm in.

And to be honest, I think the way things are managed here leaves much to be desired.
Mainly because lots of people are already left out in the cold, and lots more will be once the game is out just because they were not part of the happy few actively looking up for the game n weeks before its coming out.

Don't get me wrong, I really love the idea of having some competition between clubs made of GAF members.
But I also don't like seeing some kinds of 'ghettos' setting up, just because of arbitrary limits and reasons.

Why not just offer GAF members to meet here, build their team on whatever criteria they like, and join the competition?
And only then, depending on how many teams have been formed for a season, build leagues and divisions.

I guess some would say it's too complicated making people from different time zones meet, and that's why you need to do some grouping by region, but then... just look at how GAF members from US/EU/AU have been playing FM5 together almost every week since its release. Or ask yourself how leading team from one region will be supposed to meet the leading team from another region...

Just thinking out loud, but I believe there are better ways to set this whole thing up.

Weren't we asked to have the club title start with GAF to show some "presence" (I really hope I didn't mix the thread now)?

from all suggestions up until now, my vote would go to "Die Mannschaft" too, but let me put my 2 cents in:

  • AutoBahn
  • VorsprungDurchSpeeeed
    (I think the USA is the only country who gets a "translated" version, all other countries should know "Vorsprung durch Technik as the Audi slogan)

Drop the e from the end of Premiere. Premier means the pinnacle or best flagship, Premiere means debut or beginning. We want Premier if we're a club.

Old Gaf, represent! Turning 41 in two weeks. *sigh*

Love racing games. Great to get in that zen mode, just turning laps striving for that perfect line. Depends on the game, but it's very relaxing to crack a beer and enjoy slipping in that zen state after a long day and the kid's in bed.
Other times it's sweating palms just trying to hold the lead.

Just love it though.

This one is going to be a boatload of fun though, I can already tell it'll be a staple of mine for a while.
