Hey Edge, could I ask you to change my region in the spreadsheet? I wrote EU East, and it seems I'm the only one with that region, so I'd like to get into that EU UK group, if possible (although I'm not from UK, but hey, my time-zone is pretty close to it).

Well, being on Pos. 14 on this list, I would say not so good :-/ ...

As I see we have two buddys from Austria on the list:

Liha / LihaLahti / EU Austria
Dr_LucienSanchez / Dr_PoopMonster / EU Austria

And one guy from Switzerland:

Foshy / Foshy_the_n00b / EU Swiss


Why not combine, if they want?

Or maybe some other near EU people like NL ?

I think we should get 3 clubs then, so let's start:

Best name so far, if you ask me :D Accepted your and Konosuke's friend request, gonna send out requests to others as soon as I'm not tired and lazy as I'm now (damn you Diablo!).

Hey Worthy, What are the chances of the Aus/NZ group (or any club short of numbers) being able to add a few extra people to fill a partial club?

edit:
I'm just looking at the Aus/NZ list and at the moment we have 3 full clubs with 1 player left over. Between the 1 person left over, the 2 Aus players in the waiting list and the last few replies from Aus/NZ players (JimmyRickard, Brown_Corolla and Fuzyfrog) we can make another full club, making 4 full Aus/NZ clubs.

If this will throw things off then no dramas, just wondering if it could be an option to allow a few extra people to fill clubs.

Even though I'm only at Pos13, I'd be fine either way - as a stand-in (at least if it's possible to switch club-members easily whenever a substitute player is necessary) or racing alongside other EU-Gaffers in one club.

@Hagen: If there's more German GAFfers like me, who have no problem to be a stand-in, maybe you could swap positions.

I wanted to suggest one other thing:
How about NOT distributing players by list-rank into either club1 or 2 (or 3), but either by favorite car makers (I assume there are germans who want to represent their club by driving german brands), by age or - and this would probably be best - by skill?
I know, a little over-sophisticated, but probably more fun than just by list#, so:


  • Brand preferences: not german-centric, but not against either
  • Age: 32
  • Skill: Sim: moderate to good, Arcade: not so good

EDIT: Just thought about it, maybe splitting by skill would give an unfair advantage... not a really good idea, sorry.

As Foshy wrote, no problem at all with being in a "mixed" group, as long as it's the same time zone. Of course club communication may be easier if we can manage to centralize the groups/clubs.

I just want to avoid that somebody will be left over or forgotten, ending with a mixed group around the globus.

As you edited, dividing in skill may not a be good idea, and hard to find out or to rate oneself.

Another idea: we simply start with adding name by name as the people signing in for themselves, maybe with a short description like you did (age, preferences, playtime... etc.) and they choose the club they feel comfortable with.

To my person:

  • My car brand preferences: no specific
  • Age: 35
  • Skill: average :)
  • Playtime (CET): weekdays: 9.00pm-11.00pm / weekends: afternoon, and around 11.00pm-2am (not set in stone of course)


So looking at the people who responded already, maybe it's a good idea to start with us guys?
