Hahahahaha!! Though, probably especially true now. It seems mostly dead. I keep it up in my browser 'cuz it still feels like home in this thread. Or maybe I find the community tab kinda homey since this is where this thread is. ORAS is in gaming. While not bad, means I gotta tab between areas more often.

Anyone actually using ORAS pokes in XY now? I just know I need to get all the legendaries in ORAS just to bring them into XY for the pokedex to register them as gen 6 finds lol.

Only ORAS Pokemon I had in X was Sharpedo. But was initially caught in ORAS. It's going to my AS soon.

On a side note, does anyone have a level 50+ Stantler for trade? The higher the better, but just looking for one right now. - Taken care of!

Edit: my friend talked to nintendo again and they'll fix my LL XY free of charge! But they'll only ship to him and not to me. LOL

When I get my LL back I can do the system transfer and sell/trade in the colbalt blue for a white n3ds and get the ORAS plates coming soon.

I guess buying four ORAS did the trick, they somehow knew I did that. And I just got family back home to buy me US ORAS from Costco or Target I forget, for Christmas , it'll be shipped to me next week.

I just need a used cart Y JP now and I'm good for events going forward. So that will make XY carts NA/JP, X eshop NA, Y eshop JP, ORAS carts NA/JP, OR eshop NA, AS eshop JP.

Speaking of events, I can redeem Victini, Keldeo, Shaymin and items starting in a few days!

iirc usually yes, but recently? No.

With that recent RNG done I think I should catch another regi trio, and make them the seismic toss trio.

Spent a good two or so hours last night running around Friend Safari. I've been capturing Pokemon to make a living dex. Now I'm going to run around Kalos before I start breeding an hatching <_<

Also, I found a shiny Azumarill last night. I already had one, but it's nicer to have two haha

Man....the fact that I lost the SD card with X/Y game data and my save on it earlier this year really hurts now that ORAS is out and I am playing it.

I...I am never gonna get my Shiny Aegislash with perfect stats again....

You mean Japanese language Diancie, so any Region Distribution Diancie in Japanese or the Japanese Movie Diancie with OT &#12360;&#12356;&#12364;&#12363;&#12435;? The latter can also be in any language.

Yes, my friends and cousins are too stingy to give me one so I'm falling back here.

I'd prefer the movie Diancie because the one in the United States doesn't have any guaranteed IVs.

I've softresetted countless times so far with no luck.

Ah, I do but I don't want to part with any of mine. JP, TW and NA.

Good luck tho! Some NA codes do have guaranteed IVs like the JP and TW ones. I think PAL also has guaranteed IVs? PALGAF confirm?

The KOR one I had didn't have 3 IVs, so I guess that means some of them had same issue. My GER, SPA, FRE, and ITA all have 3 min, so assuming that is a yes for PAL. GER actually has 4 on it which is a nice bonus.

Was it a Korean OT or just KOR language? Same goes with all the other languages.

I was told PAL has a different OT from NA's OCT2014. Taiwan (and I guess other Asian countries not Japan or SK) had MovieTheater as its OT.

Edit: According to bulbapedia PAL is NOV2014, and there is no record of a Korean distribution for Diancie.

Hadn't thought about that. Still think it's weird they let you choose your language this generation at all. Was it their "sorry about region lock, hope you have regions 3ds you live in."

KOR one I can't remember, and it's been traded off. Though the EU ones though are from someone in EU here so I'm assuming they're all PAL. Just done with different regions.

GER has OT of NOV.2014
SPA has OT of NOV2014
FRE has OT of NOV2014
ITA has OT of NOVEMBRE14

All legit OT's for the serial code.

Well region lock is not their idea to an extent anyway, remember Pokebank and Mover/Transporter do not have region lock. Also Dream Radar doesn't have region lock either, I got DR Hooh from using a JP HG.

I can understand serial codes because if there is something wrong you would need the proper party to complain to which makes some sense.

Also local wireless doesn't have it either.

You can even trade between languages in gen 3 and 4 (but not Palpark or GC connect probably because is due to hardware limitations).

Yeah, all of my GBA/DS Pokemon games are in Japanese and it was great for them to give me the option for languages since I grew up with the Japanese names. The only thing I'm missing out are the events, but whatever.

I'm just miffed that the United States one is not 3IV guaranteed.

It keeps all my Pokemon consistent rather than have one named &#12501;&#12471;&#12462;&#12496;&#12490; and another Chesnaught.

But thanks anyway, I was hoping someone would have access to a Cyber Gadget or a Powersave for cloning. If anyone is willing to share, it would be most appreciated!

Yeah unlike other events, both Muku and I had to pay to watch that awful movie to get our Japanese Diancies, so it's not free, but rather actual paid DLC in many ways. LOL

I know that feeling all too well. I had to do that 7 years ago for Movie Darkrai and Deoxys. At least that one was decent.

Because we were given a Darkrai to pre-order and Diancie at theater. The bribes were strong with this one. Plus, you could nab as many Diancie's as you brought games in, since it wasn't region locked. That was a bonus. Could have left after getting it at start, but movie tickets aren't cheap. I got a laugh out of how ridiculous it was despite being bored most of the time.

And apparently I should be getting ORAS Event Gift Greninja since I have Smash and AS registered on my JP CN on Monday if I did it right.

I remember watching the third movie with my mum and sister just to get Pokemon cards. I lied to myself for a number of years; saying that it was a good movie.

The first movie was alright though. I'm sure I won't enjoy it nowadays, but I have fond memories of seeing Donphan at the start and when Mewtwo was owning (not really, but Mewtwo's great).

Yeah, think I saw first three films in theaters. Gimme them Pokemon cards. Can't remember how I saw first one. Want to think it was on my own. Second two I believe was through my job. Daycare stuff, so field trips to see the movies. Got my cards so couldn't complain.

They were all meh, haha. But by time first one came out I was already out of high school.

Well if I get my NA ORAS from home sometime next week then 11? I can get JP Y used for like about 2300¥ give or take.

I got 8 sandwiches today, so that's 24 serial codes. So I just another 8 and I'll have Victini #2.

Lol I should double check if I can use those now.

Hey guys. Looking for some advice.

I'm a long time pokemon fan. I played Red, Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, FireRed, and Emerald as they were released. But at that point I fell off, and haven't picked up a new entry since. In the intervening years, whenever I had a pokemon impulse, I would consider jumping back in, but would ultimately just replay FireRed.

I recently bought a 3DS and am rediscovering some of my old favorite Nintendo franchises (starting with Fire Emblem Awakening (AMAZING so far)). Part of me wants to just grab X or Y, but I'm also considering picking up where I left off and playing through Platinum, Black/White, Black2/White2, and then X/Y. A third option would be picking up OmegaRuby/Alpha Sapphire, since that presumably includes all the advances in game mechanics that I missed, and it's something I'm familiar with and remember fondly.


Would I be doing myself a disservice by skipping a few whole generations? Or would it just be redundant for me to play through them all when I could just play X/Y?

Got some good insight on the games I missed in the ORAS thread. I think I'm going to start with Platinum and work my way up to X/Y and ORAS.

Ah hey dude, sorry I missed your post in the ORAS thread

It's alright to skip generations. I skipped RSE, BW/BW2, and all of the remakes except for ORAS. I did buy Black and White 2 before XY, but that was mainly because I wanted to transfer some of my Pokemon in DPP.

Anyway, I'd recommend skipping to XY. It's a good starting point. When you finish, maybe take some time off and then play ORAS.

I honestly think you should just pick up ORAS. I find that Pokemon games are pretty repetitive. Playing them even anually is getting tiresome (though I'm sorta enjoying de-stressing with ORAS after work these days). As you said, there's a certain level of nostalgia there too so I say play ORAS instead of going through five Pokemon games in a row and burning yourself out on the formula.

Sent a PM, but then I noticed why they might be unpopular.

I think Sniper is a bit gimmicky for some people. My Kingdra uses it, but I have a hard time getting it to work (only time I pulled it off was against a mono-fire team, but I still got slaughtered).

I wonder if Nintendo is planning to make every mythical available in Gen 6?

(Only in Japan of course, since NA/EU didn't get Shiny Jirachi or Darkrai.)

Nope. Not going to waste food. Plus, with the cards I always pick up some when new set comes out, so why waste money on icky food when I can get something I'm already going to get? Plus, always welcome another Victini and Keldeo.


Edit: lupinko, can you redeem more than one of each? Like say you got a second Shaymin, could you redeem it on same cart?

I haven't tried it yet, but I would try on something I don't care about (potions). And the Groudon sandwiches aren't bad. You could at least try that.

I have three Japanese games anyway to use so I'm good.
