Tweeted a few hours before RAD that the game went Gold today. Not really familiar with them to know if it was a lucky shot in the dark or otherwise. Heard they were unreliable in the other Order thread.

Also said that review copies are being distributed now as well, though that sounds a little soon to be accurate. Figure they need to get copies put together first either to distribute online or through physical media, and isn't going to be done the same day the game passes certification.

I do expect the media to have the game in their hands as early as next week though.

i dont think the budget was much more than games like infamous or Killzone.

RAD isnt that big of a studio, also maybe they started slowly with this project? Engine, concept work.

Why is this game £49 everywhere in the UK? Most first party games sell for £40 odd, sometimes less. It's not going to sell as well if everyone is basically going to only charge top dollar for it.

got delayed a few months. they were probably being conservative with the timing. also probably didn't want to release january either when people are in their post holiday coma and not spending money.

I wonder what's there to do in the game to justify the €70 price. Once you finish the story it's over?

This is the sad reality now. I remember when games used to be SP only and we paid full price, enjoyed them and no one questioned. But now every game needs to have MP or co-op or horde mode to justify the $60 tag. If the game gives you enjoyment and is reasonable length (not 4-8 hours but 10-15+ hours), then it should not be dinged. But this game will be dinged for not having any MP by the critics and gamers alike.

Good luck to RAD, they will need it. Its gonna be brutal

Also, if you think Metacritic and its scores mean a damn thing, I have to wonder if you've ever bothered to think for yourself and your assertion that an average score of 70 means a game sucks only means that you may need to consider a different hobby.

Nice. But I'm very sceptical. I get a strange feeling when i think about how less they showed of the gameplay and how less chances there were to get hands on with game.

I have a feeling it's going to be a "good" game.
Just not one worth the 60 dollar price.
