Having watched half the chapters he has done he's certainly not speed running the game or even attempting to blast through it. He's wandering around back and forth, walking slowly and sneaking up on enemies, examining objects.
No, footage we can see makes the timekeeping of people who played through the game, presumably without a stopwatch, worth some scepticism.
I accept all this things my dude. I'n fine with not liking things and others being into it. this game looks like its just straight mediocre and short. ALl style, no substance. It only bothers me in the fact that i want to like all the games my console gets as an exclusive, but then I got bloodbourne next month so all is good.
Hope people like this, I got a feeling it's not going to go down well. I suppose some people genuinely liked beyond tho so yeh

People discuss length here.. was concerned by almost no gameplay and it's clear that it's not a game for me. So it could be 50 hours full of cinematics and QTE yet I wouldn't care

Just been watching a stream for like 30min. Actually I just wanted to check out the gunplay. But I had to wait a lot to actually see one. Really very much cutscenes in it. But that's not a problem for me. The QTEs look annoying but I don't like QTEs in general. The gunplay looks fun. The graphics are incredible. Looks like a decent game.

Even if this game is mediocre, a qte fest, short, dull and useless, what is the problem about that ?
There are thousand of mediocre games out there, so do you go around the forum and threads criticizing each of them ?
Nothing against you, it's a public forum and you have your freedom, but I can't really understand this kind of behavior, sorry.
I absolutely loved Beyond. Most of my playtime is dedicated to competitive fighting games (KOF, Street Fighter, Garou..), World of Warcraft arena, action games like DMC/Bayo/Wonderful101, shmups (Guwange, Mars Matrix, ESPGaluda). When I am not playing those I am trying to top the score on my team on Battlefield or another competitive multiplayer game.
However, there is absolutely room for both types of games. Sometimes I am tired and just want to play a stress free, easy game and just relax. Take in the sights/story/atmosphere. Beyond and Order 1886 fit that very well. In fact, Beyond is one of the very few games I haven't sold as I transitioned into the next generation. All I am saying is that not everything needs to be a 100 hour RPG with a 100 bells and whistles.

You forgot to remember that you like mediocre games. The concerned posters have decided: it's mediocre. Stop arguing with facts from people that haven't played the game.

But then again there is a lot of judgment in this thread about what other people like and how much better at wasting time one is than others.

And my opinion isn't biased by it. At all. The game is incredible.
But if you want to read it like that, it's your thing.

I'm not by any means a shit poster or a negative poster. I do respect people's hard work and only get really "aggressive" when someone is having anti consumer practiceses, but still, meeting game developers for the first time, hearing their talking about their new game where they spent the last 5 years working really puts in perspective how hard it has to be reading some of the bullshit some people spew on the internet.

I don't know about you guys, but whenever the devs of a game are obliging enough to appear in a selfie with me, I instantly feel committed to rave about their game in return.
As far as defending a game you like, which isn't a problem to me, I think it's strange to mention taking a selfie with the developers.
People are discussing their interpretation of the gameplay, the footage, the length of the game. "I remember taking a selfie with the developers" is quite the non sequiturr with regards to those impressions.

For what it's worth, the Platinum for The Order can be gained in a single run-through. There's nothing in the trophy list that requires you to replay the game.
I'm not "attacking" anyone, but perhaps if that's how my comment is being interpreted I should just take it that way.

How long did you expect the game to last? If he platinum'd it in his first run that is pretty much the usual length of a TPS (TLoU being the exception).

Should have done what the first Uncharted did, and made it so that you had to play the game more than once in order to obtain the platinum. Not that it would make any difference whatsoever in terms of the content included, but it would make The Order seem like it has more to offer.
No he didn't, that's the time from the first to the last trophy.
We had someone in here before say that he still didn't have any trophies after more than 1 hour of play. There isn't any complete X chapter trophies.
