Microsoft needs to get a large team/ a studio on the job of fixing the MCC. There's plenty to be worked on both on- and offline. For instance, the terrible pop-in in splitscreen campaigns/ spartan Ops. It's mostly Halo 3 and 4 that suffers. And the lack of AF, which ruin a lot of beautiful textures. I find these things more annoying than any issue I've had online.

I think Halo 5 will be fine, but MCC is huge screw up that can't be redeemed at this point. Sad as I had a copy, returned it after giving it some time. Bought another copy months later (used), found it to still be busted, and returned it as well.

And MCC being such a large and difficult undertaking is probably the reason Microsoft is smartly not going the collection route with Gears.

The Halo 5 beta did had better connections that the MCC did around the same time. Not to mention Halo 4 also had decent connections, being developed in house at 343. It shouldn't be the same story but you never know.

I have been having small issues here and there in MCC lately but its nowhere near as bad as launch.

Halo 5 will probably have a smoother launch. I hope they can squeeze another beta in like September to test matchmaking and dedicated servers. Halo 5 did run pretty well going into the beta. Load times were outrageous but it ran very well.

I'm thinking of jumping to the ps4 real soon. Halo and Forza were my top two xbox franchises, and MS already fucked halo for me. Forza Motorsports is getting a bit tired and I'm feeling excited for pcars, which will run better on a ps4.
