Aww shieeeeeeeet.

I think I'm starting to get hyped for DC's movie universe.

There is a panel in Avengers #32 that shows a armored Cap fighting a silver suit Tony (which we now know is the superior armor), didn't that JUST happen in Avengers? God I love how Hickman plans ahead

Oh and Franklin finally shows up, because it wouldn't be a Hickman run without crazy op Franklin Richards. Well to be fair it was weird that he wasn't involved in this cosmic nonsense given what he is.

Right, before I forget again: I finally saw Man of Steel the other day. It was... yeah, not so good. Like, a whole lot of bad movie for a few nice action scenes. Hopefully they can salvage from that, because... ehhhhh.

It's a shame because it's the best Superman origin stuff I've ever seen on screen. But then, yup. Ground Zero Makeout Tmes.

Bruction's Iron Fist complete.

Best thing about it was Fat Cobra, by a very large margin.

Onwards to the rest of this stuff.

she blocked you? what for?

So soon after the Suicide Squad photo dropped, she put on her feed "King Shark is a shark". I thought she might have been mistaken Killer Croc as him. So I kindly said, if you are talking about the photo, it's Killer Croc. She then quote/retweeted with "I know" and I was then attacked by her army calling me stupid, ignorant, asking me if I knew who she was, etc. So I called her out on it, we argued for a few tweets and she blocked me.

Hey Comics GAF, it's me again, last month I said thank you for all recommendations, and now I need some help again. I came to the conclusion I like black and white comics more than colored ones. But I ran out of ideas what to read next. Maybe I just write what I read and what I think about it.

Queen & Country (Greg Rucka) - I can definitely recommend this. 32 Issue series about a spy working for MI6.

Whiteout (Greg Rucka) - About a US Marshal working in Antarctica.

I think Scott Pilgrim originally was in B&W too.

Edit: And I think Judge Dredd Casefiles are in B&W also.

Bone - great adventure, absolutely love it. Imported stupid stupid rat tails from the US also, only for the black and white.

Pogo- great but difficult to understand sometimes (English is not my first language) same problem I had with six gun gorilla, if they don't write the word in full and I can't figure out what it is...stupid me

Calvin and Hobbes - love it and I have to laugh a lot ^_^ just bought the complete two weeks ago, don't want to rush it, just read few pages in bed every night.

King city - great to look at with lot of funny details, bit childish sometimes (poop jokes etc)

Sharaz De - great art

If somebody would have any suggestions, I would be very thankful.

Oh and because usually, the question- with or without superheros, is asked. Without would be better, but honestly, never read a comic with one. Ok, maybe Tony from Chew is considered a superhero than yes ^_~

Sorry for disrupting your conversation, now I feel stupid for not posting in the Q/A of OT. Will post it there...
B&W comics? The manga thread is over there ---->
:p

You should check out

Frank Miller's Sin City - you're probably familiar with this to an extent. Frank Miller is an amazing artist and before he went crazy, a great writer too.

Charles Burn's Black Hole - This is an indy comics classic. Its about kids getting mutations from each other. Basically, crazy STIs.

Kirkman, Moore and Adlard's Walking Dead - tons of people like it. Im not into it but it is in black and white...at least I remember it being in black and white

Jensen and Case's Green River Killer - The writer of this book is the son of the detective who worked this in real life case of a serial killer. Book goes over how rough the case was on his father over time

Sean Gordon Murphy's Punk Rock Jesus- Murphy draws the everloving shit out of this book about a kid recreated from Jesus's DNA in a reality TV show

Hester and Huddleston's The Coffin - A scientist develops a machine that can capture the soul of a being. He uses it to get back at the mofo thats kills him and took his daughter

Guy Davis's The Marquis - a guy goes around in 18th century Italy sending demons back to hell. Religious conflicts ensue

Gillen and McKelvie's Phonogram - vol 1is in black and white so it counts! Basically, music is magic and the story revolves around a 10 year old murder.

Moore and Campbell's From Hell - Never read it myself but it was written by Alan Moore in his prime and deals with Jack the Ripper

Moore and Lloyd's V for Vendetta - originally released in black and white so it counts haha An amazing anarchist comic. Must read
Paul Pope's 100% - everything Paul Pope does is rad. He's one of comic's greatest talents

This got me to have a look at Greg Rucka's biography and... dude's got 4 eisners under his belt? Yeesh. No wonder his frank castle run was so solid. Now i'll have to track down his Black Widow stuff.

Yeah Rucka's great. I need to start Queen and Country proper sometime. I read a little but never went back.

Eh, Gail Simone's writing is shit now anyway. DC already bled her for all the quality they could. Move on.

Was one of those people that jumped on you named "Ian" or "Poison Ivy" aka her loyal cheerleaders?

I'm really not a fan of hers and I hate how certain writers have their own defense forces now that will defend anything they do or say.

The thing that gets me is that they never have said defense force while they're actually writing something good. Everyone discovered Secret Six way after the fact and now jump to her defense while she's writing whatever garbage she's on now? XD

I'm not crazy, this kinda works, right? This really is happening.

9 protags is a lot. They got to be on AoU levels of game to pull it off. Unless...is Soderbergh directing it? He could pull it off. jokers 11? I'd watch the crap out of that.

Who's directing this anyway?

Savage Sword of Conan.

Got a lot of the best b&w art in the industry, and a ton of good stories. Just don't expect it to be very PC.

Wait, there's a q/a in the ot?

I actually think a lot of her defense force came from Batgirl as well. People who are writing good stories and aren't saying dumb things usually don't need blatant defense forces though. The thing she did after she got kicked off Batgirl initially was annoying IMO.

My lack of a Twittering account means I must content myself with the knowledge that comic creators hate me with the same general contempt they hold for all of their audience.

Filthy Slug

Crowd screaming like hounds at the heat of the chase/ All the colors of the rainbow flood my face
Somebody go call Cam Stewart a goon for me. Let me get vicariously blocked through one of y'all.

Which Batgirl, though? The New52 Batgirl was Simone acting as a puppet for DC editorial.

Caught up with GotG, All New x-men (was the last x-team book I wasn't caught up), Nightcrawler, Storm and Cyclops. And Deadpool (yesterday) also. Those Monday updates become more and more exciting the more caught up I get.

I figure at least 4 of them die.... so 9 protags are because they need red shirts
