Not sure how I feel about the new arena. Don't really like how the fence is only apparent when you're right next to it - I often use it to judge when and where the ball is going to bounce.

Spyder_ur, I was alpha in those games. That time our team member scored on our own net LOL

OK, new map feels like the roof is lower. I cant tell if the slopes (sides of the map) are wider, but the map itself feels wider..am I wrong in thinking that?

I was enjoying the 4v4, felt more spacious but I could have been imagining that.

I feel 4v4 will be great for non-standard maps, but a big map dedicated for just 4v4 would be cool too, since 4v4 could become competitive with an appropriate map

Help me gaf. I'm in a Rocket League tournament in about a week and I'm horrendous at the game.

I don't need to do any expert moves or anything, it's just for fun. But I don't want to embarrass myself.

I can hardly even hit the ball, especially when it's in the air. And when I do it rarely goes in the right direction.

What are some beginner tips? Or maybe someone could link a good tutorial video? I'd really appreciate it.

Don't sleep till the tournament. Practice 24/7

Anyone noticing any big differences in the ranked 3v3 mode now that it's not solo only? As a solo player, I really don't like that I could be teamed up against a team of 3 coordinated players.

Will give it a shot, but I have a feeling it will create some annoying matchups.

as soon as steamgaf switched to another map the game just felt better tbh

not really a fan of the new one

might jump back in in a bit

I'm in the upper 500s in ranked mode and maaaan everyone's a douchebag. Tons of sarcastic spam and salty assholes. It's like the update brought the jerks out of the woodwork.

Have you played around with the camera settings? That could make a world of difference. After that do the aerial, striker and goalie practices on Rookie and get decent at them.

I understand why people want a no-party mode. I worry it's one playlist too many and it was the least popular playlist there was, but I can understand why it was necessary. I don't think it should be ranked though. It seems making it ranked would limit the matchmaking.

They could make it non-ranked, ban parties, and it could satisfy those who want to avoid parties. That way, the matchmaking wont be limited to a skill rating.

I don't mind losing team 3v3 ranked to have it return either. I feel like a party of 3 playing against another party of 3 in unranked is competitive enough as is.

Starting to see a lot more trash talk lately. Especially from teammates bitching about goal steals which is really only merited imo when you chase down a goal.

Well, uh, I just got lumped in with Kronovi and Fyshokid tonight. Some kid saw me on videos on my YouTube channel and coolcole's channel and added me and we played a little tonight. He was pretty good but kept talking about "us" like we were sacred or something.

I suck pretty bad most of the time but just thought that was funny.
