IMO there's two compromises we could try:
1. Let the thread chill for a month in Community and see how things shake out. There's a couple of big FG-relevant events happening over the course of the next few weeks so we can see how the FGW news ticker adapts to any headlines generated.
2. Allow "Fighting Games Ephemera" threads in GD during times when fighting-game related news DOES reach a point where a dedicated thread is warranted for all the stuff that is happening.
IMO Fighting Games Weekly should have a special exemption placed on it because it was, well, exceptional as far as threads on GAF went. I use past tense because it's not as true at the moment (and whether it's temporary or a permanent shift is something I can't really say), but FGW was unique among fighting game discussion boards around the internet because it served as a melting pot for the fighting game community across the interwebs; we had a lot of big names from the FGC posting regularly in the thread without having the franchise biases that other boards like SRK or Dustloop had while also enjoying the strict moderation standards of GAF not present in other boards.
In the past the "neutral ground" status of FGW has led to things like Jaxel posting about his treament amoung sponsors and TOs, and other things I can't remember because I'm kind of drunk atm. What happens in FGW has often had implications for the rest of the Fighting Game Community, and what I fear is that these opportunities will vanish due to the lessened visibility from not being in GD. The next best alternatively currently is what, /r/kappa? lol

I just assumed this thread blew up because the R.Mika one did and there was a controversy or something.
Its the middle of the night and I can't sleep (experience tells me now is not the time to write up anything that requires thinking) but I'll pitch in my 2c tomorrow.

Reminds me of MKX tremor threads where nobody was using wakeup options and calling some setups all kinds of stuff which was easily avoidable. Same with the Dictator OTG combo.

Still talking about this? There's no chance we're moving back to Gaming, if there was we wouldn't have been asked to justify a return after being moved to Community. All these long careposts are for nothing. Don't waste your time because no one is listening.
You're talking to the same group of guys who wasted tons of time coming up with a gigantic patch list for UMvC3.
They have streamed for a patch before if I remember right. If another season is a thing we could hear about it though!

I think that was less a waste of time than making arguments for us to go back to Gaming.

I do find it funny that Shouta made an argument for the thread being on Gaming side and was told his arguments were irrelevant. So even mods don't know what makes a Gaming or Community thread according to the standards of the Admins.
More proof to me that the definition of which thread belongs in which section is just up to the whims of the administration at that moment, e.g. "There's too many Street Fighter threads on Gaming side, let's move this big Street Fighter thread over"

Big bodies are fine. Players need to take the time to learn the matchup. KBR has been slept on. No one knows how to deal with his setups, no one knows how to get out of his pressure, and no one knows how to play the neutral against him. That's why you saw stuff like Rayray (IIRC) using raw Foot Dive (j.S) against Hulk, which is a really dumb idea in that matchup. Just because a team wins Evo, that doesn't mean it needs to be nerfed.

If it's just the same four characters I'll go back to KI practice for weeklies. That game is infinity free online. Once I get Hisako's counter timing down I feel like I'll just dominate. Everyone is just hyper aggressive in that game.
ASUS VH238H is probably the best for the price. It's just the LED version of the old EVO monitor. Most places have it for $160 with a $20 mail in rebate.

Marvel 3 would need to be significantly different to earn my interest back. There was a time where I had the patience for the "10% neutral, 90% touch of death into free mixup into touch of death" style of play but that time has passed.
Making Tron viable again would be a start though. She was mad fun and one of the main reasons I'm glad Vanilla still exists.

That was a joke. No one in their right mind thinks that big bodies should be nerfed outside of the damage scaling on Hulk because 30% scaling shouldn't exist in a game like that. And again this was suggested way, way back so it was always deemed a problem and KBR's performance had no impact on that suggestion.
