Did I miss the class on how to salute my troops? As much as I enjoy giving them to good ole sleeper hold or CQC throw a salute would be nice too.

Started the download before I came into work this morning. Can't wait to fire it up later when I get home. I'm trying to continue my blackout as much as possible though, so off I go out of this thread!

According to the guide, delivery points/cargo loading platforms found around the map can be used as fast travel stations after you unlock them. Haven't done it myself though.
Yep. Discovered this after like 30 hours played and kicked myself for not realizing it sooner.
You have to pick up the invoice from each location so if you see those platforms, make sure to go up to it and hold O to pick up the invoice.
You can test it out at Mother Base.

My frustrating experience with mission 16 is but a distant memory having just completed 17 and in particular 18. Sogood.gif

Also, Decoys are now my favourite thing to use. Vehicle approaching? Throw decoy out, inflate as it's about to run over it. Once it's stopped quickly go behind it, use fulton and profit. :)

I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one who has struggled with Episode 16. That was a real tough one.

The following couple of missions are excellent again though.

Oh it's on the orange platform itself! Ugh, I feel like a fool. I've sat on the orange platforms in a box and nothing happened... I didn't realize I had to interact with something on it.

Haha, yeah, it's pretty ridiculous that the game doesn't tell you this at all. It's a total life saver and would save literally hours if you were told this in the first mission.

There isnt

and it fucking sucks

There is

And it's pretty ingenious

Nah it's a slap-only kind of interaction from Big Boss

Bleh. Anyone else not sold of Keifer? I don't know if it's cos I'm such a huge 24 AND Hayter fan, but it's like some ungodly mash up that shouldn't have been.

Can some one give a rough idea on where Quiet is please? Tag it spoiler of course.

a) you will come across it yourself and it's a nice discovery, so hesitate to read the following (very minor spoiler anyway)

b) listen to what guards and Miller/Ocelot say to you. The game gives you direct hints.

Quiet's location:

c)
look for the power plant on the map (in the middle, north of centre). To the west of the power plant is the road leading in, which goes through some ruins. She is at those ruins.
Eventually you have to go through there anyway, for side-ops or main ops.

Well, I played through Episode 3, the first two Side-Ops, and found DD. Having tons of fun with this. Episodes 1 and 2 were ridiculously cool. The
Skulls are fucking terrifying.

This being a Metal Gear game I'm really hesitant to "go loud" but it has worked out for me when I was forced to anyway. I need to replay Ep. 3 and get
the guy out alive for my MB
.

I've spent a lot of dough on dev stuff. I pretty much have everything that is currently available except for the
Helicopter Loudspeaker, and D-Horse Armor.

Also, I thought I was going to lose my chance with DD since I had run out of fultons at the time I encountered him, thankfully he was there after I resupplied at MB.

Is there a way to resupply fultons in the field? I didn't see anything obvious in the iDroid menu.

without spoiling for anyone including myself....
the character creation at the beggning. was that just a joke/troll from Kojima?

I heard some soldiers saying that Quiet was at the
power plant
so I went there thinking it'd be all organic and shit. Sent everyone there into space and I still can't find her.

Felt like a waste of time.

Episode 11. It's also possible to randomly bump into this mission through a side quest.

Jeez. It got mentioned in mission 5. That sucks

If you don't want to spoil something give people an idea of what's in the tags, like above.

There are no difficulty options. I think you can play harder versions of missions after you've completed them once but someone might have to correct me on that.

You can play
a small selection of gradually unlocking prior missions with more difficult conditions after the credits roll.
The conditions are
Subsistence: no equipment when you start. Total stealth: Mission failure on being seen. Extreme: You take more damage. All of these modifiers turn off reflex mode, and I've only seen missions that use one of each.

Go to the right-most tab in the iDroid (Missions?) Choose the top option (Supply drop?) And then choose ammo/items I think, the top option again.

I haven't played Ground Zeroes yet. Do you think it's worth playing at this point or is it more of the same things I'll be doing in MGS V?
(Mind: I'm not a diehard MGS fan, and I have a huge backlog :))

Songs as collectibles is pretty much the best collectible idea ever.

Getting rock solid 1080p30 on high settings on my HD 7770. With unlocked framerate I get anything from 40-60 so I locked it to keep things nice and fluid.

The Fox Engine looks amazing, lighting, cloth, and even the changes in muscles when stretched are all really impressive.

And of course, the first thing you ever see in the game (prologue spoiler)
is a woman's chest bent over you
. Never change, Kojima.

FFS there are some people complaining about the intro in this game for being too much cutscenes when the game already had a allegedly limited story?

Yall are the reason we have little story in MGSV.

Thanks, I'm trying to do as much stuff as I can without having to head back to MB, and running out of fultons stops me dead in my tracks.

Must... Fulton... EVERYTHING.

Go straight into it. You probably want the much more polished game engine either way. You could always play GZ when you have time or want to know more about the story.

However; if you do play GZ you might know a few things. If you aren't a hardcore fan then I guess GZ wouldn't make sense either. :) js

I really don't think you needed to know a whole lot with GZ either, but I've always been a fan of MGS for quite a while now.

WTF...does Amazon not do same-day shipping anymore with Prime? My copy just shipped this morning and Amazon says it won't be here until Wednesday and the actual UPS tracking page says that it won't be here until Thursday...

I should've just picked it up from GameStop...

What is the Metal Gear Online Additional Content? When I tried to redeem the code on PS4 I got a E-8200012F error code. The Day One stuff redeemed fine.

Played three hours last night, was up so damn late. But holy fuck that opening was something. Can't wait to be able to really sit down with the game and go nuts, but I was rushing to make some progress.

Two things, did anyone make note of the online sign-in bonuses for each day that they're doing?

Also, I had 100% on GZ but I'm not sure if I got all the rewards? I know I was able to develop the sneaking suit but I don't recall the recruits showing up and anything else. Is there a way to confirm or not?

Haven't had the time to go through all the reviews yet, have any mentioned a rough estimate of how long the game takes to complete? Trying to decide if I should grab this or wait till after a long upcoming business trip.

Don't worry. Keep doing the main missions. I got a bunch of them after mission 5 I think.
