Try retailmenot

Hmm. $60 off $175 seems to be active. That's probably the one I will need.

Thanks.

I noticed these codes are no longer valid on video games... interesting.

SHOP.CA: RetailMeNot Exclusive! Get $60 Off $175+. Not valid on eGift Cards, Wine & Alcohol, video games, video game consoles, or Gift Cards issued by third parties. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Expires on 9/30/2015.

Ugh, that Majora's Mask price is barely a sale. Why must Nintendo products hold their value so much????

I hate that too...

I have a $50 order for Yoshi Whooly World that I'm considering cancelling because I'll be swamped in games when it'll come out (...not to mention school), but I hesitate because I think it might never even drop to that price anymore even if I wait years... I wonder if it might be better to just keep the order and leave the game on my shelf shrink-wrapped until I'm ready to play it one day...

Would this work as extra storage for the WiiU? May not be the best solution anyhow, I guess

Might as well find a real external HDD for $10-15 more.

So my Nexus 5 is dying a death and I'm six months away from the end of my contract

Any options for a cheap smartphone, friends?

I'm with Fido if that makes any difference

I could go to about $500 maybe, I don't want a phablet and I'm indifferent towards the camera
Hmmm. Im not sure if you like Motorola but try checking Moto G 3rd gen ($220 outright?) and moto x play ($410). I heard LG g3 is good too.
Theres also oneplus one as an option

Hey all,

Looking for a ~32 inch TV for my apartment. Any idea on what brands are decent or should I look on Kijiji instead of buying new?

Ideal price range is 200-250.

-Sony Xperia M4 Aqua: available from most carriers, 5", $300 outright, waterproof. I'm biased towards Sony phones. Decent mid-range option.
-OnePlus One/Two: available online, custom Android, $400, 5.5", great specs, questionable build quality and warranty support though.
-Moto X Play: available from most carriers, 5.5", $410, good specs, gets Android updates almost as fast as the Nexus line. There's a promo from Koodo where you get a Moto 360 with an X Play (not sure if it's still running).
-LG G3: 5.9", most carriers, $350, good specs.
-New Nexus 5: announced sometime this month, should be around a 5" screen at a $500 price point. Will be sold by Google online and most carriers should have it.

Any outstanding deal on decent printers? I have no idea what to look for, but I'm really tired of going to my university's printing room so I'm about to pull the trigger on a cheap one.

I'm about to buy that one. Good idea or should I avoid it for some reason / is there a better deal somewhere?

If you just want a printer, get a sub-$100 laser one. Better value in terms of ink and without so many other parts it has a lower chance of failure. Brother is supposed to be one of the best brands.

Wow, thanks for that. I'm actually in the market for another phone as well. Is Moto X Play out? That's the one I was leaning towards though the Xperia sounds tempting too. All I really want to do is play Square's JRPG offerings + Hearthstone + development here and there.

Edit: Dang, not sure if Virgin is carrying Moto X Play.

This is super helpful, thanks!

The Sony M4 looks like a solid option and I can get it outright from Fido for $300 so no messing around with unlocking

Anyone else STILL waiting for their MGSV to ship from Amazon? It's getting ridiculous, and customer service only tells me it's "normal" because they're shipping the orders on a "first come first serve" basis... It's unbelievable.

Sort of a deal: Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is $5.99 at EBGames. Arguably, it may be $6 too expensive but it's not bad if you truly need a new game to play without breaking the bank or lamenting our terrible dollar.

I'm still waiting. Ordered June 17th with Amazon Prime Student. They sent me an email yesterday stating I should receive it in 1 to 2 business days. If it doesn't ship tomorrow by the end of the day, I'm going to lose my mind on Amazon customer service. That would make 3 broken promises in writing.

I wonder what makes them so inconsistent. I never have any problems with amazon. I even got MGSV on the Monday before release. That said, I hear a lot of people, with prime, getting late shipping etc...

Phones bought outright from a carrier are locked to that carrier. The only exception is Nexus phones which are always unlocked.

You can usually find an unlock code on eBay.

This is just my gut here but I wouldn't be shocked if they don't even know that all the PS4 CEs are missing codes
Your gut feeling was right, the rep was feeding me a bunch of bullshit, we'll see what comes of it. Here's the chat log

Amazon: Thanks for the order number.
Just a moment, please.
Thanks so much for your patience and waiting, Nick.

Me: No problem, take all the time you need!

Amazon: I understand your concern that you're inquiring regarding the code, Nick.
However, it seems that code which are offered from Amazon.com website.
However, we do not offer any of the code from our partner website at Amazon.ca.
I'm so sorry if it wasn't clear while placing an order, Nick.

Me: I think your information is incorrect. The codes were supposed ot be included in the box. Due to a manufacturing problem they forgot to include them in the box. They are supposed to supply you guys with the codes and forward them to he customers
It isn't an extra or bonus, it's part of the product

Amazon: Yes, it's the part of the product but the code is supplied only from our partner website at Amazon.com.

Me: So how do i go about getting the code?

Amazon: Since you placed an order from Amazon.ca, we do not offer code from our website.
I'm really so sorry about that.
If you would like to receive the code, you'll need to place an order from Amazon.com website.

Me: I don't understand, it was part of the product and part of what i paid for
as well as it being listed on the product page on amazon.ca

Amazon: I'm really so sorry. We haven't listed any code from our website.
Could you please copy and paste the link of an item detail page where the code was mentioned on our website?

Me: part of the listing states "
Weapon & Shield Pack: Windurger S333 Combat Special Revolver,Adam-ska Special Handgun,Maschinen aktische Pistole 5 Weiss Special Handgun,Rasp Short-Barreled Shotgun Gold,Personal Ballistic Shield (Olive Drab, Silver, White, Gold)
Cardboard Boxes: Cardboard Box (Rocky Terrain), Cardboard Box (All-Purpose Dryland), Cardboard Box (Wetland)
Snake Costumes: Fatigues (Black Ocelot), Fatigues (Gray Urban), Fatigues (Blue Urban), Fatigues (All-Purpose Dryland)"
all of what is listed there is part of that code
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00UFOY...(See full link)
Not only is all that information listed but the page, but everything under "Additional game content" in the product image is what that code gives you

Amazon: I understand your concern.
Okay.
Since you haven't received the part of code, I'll forward it to our Marketing department regarding this issue with an high priority so that they will be happy to send you the code.
Would that be fine for you?

Me: sure, no problem!

Amazon: However, our marketing department will send you a code within 12 to 24 hours.
Would that be fine for you, Nick?
In the meantime, I'll also personally follow up with you and let you know via e-mail once we receive the code from them.

Me: Sure, sounds good to me!

Amazon: Thanks for your understanding.
Is there anything else I can do for you today?

Me: Nope, that's everything! Thank you :)

Amazon: It's my pleasure to help you.
Thanks for contacting us.
Take Care.
Bye!!! Nick.

Not sure if it has been posted but Evolve, WWE15 and Lego Batman are all on sale at EB for $19.99.

Evolve seems interesting. Any thoughts?

try unblock-us i've been using it and it works great

as the above poster mentioned, i use unblock-us as well. i think it's like $60 per year or 5/mth.

Ok, thanks guys! Damn, this could get really pricy... It's no wonder that HBO shows are some of the most highly torrented shows out there :/

not sure if this will help you situation at all but The movie network go app in Canada carries all the hbo stuff I think but you'll need a login info. Not sure about chromecast support though.

I'll definitely take a peek at that site, thanks!

If you can up your price range a little, this is a solid set:

http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00SMBF3NS/

1080p and built-in Wifi with a ton of smart apps.

I recently bought my girlfriend a TV under a similar budget. Wound up getting her a set from The Source because they had it on clearance, so that'd be my other suggestion: go to every electronics website (off the top of my head the ones that sell TV's are... Canadian Tire, The Source, Best Buy, London Drugs, Staples, and whatever local electronics stores are in your city) and do a search for their sales/clearance items.

It's fun, but I can't imagine the community is big enough to be worthwhile. That will only be compounded come this fall.
