No, as already stated they're only very loosely connected.
However if you are into any kind of horror games then Dark Descent is a game you do need to play anyway.
I would suggest you play it before Machine for Pigs anyway. The two games are pretty different (also Machine for Pigs isn't all that great)
Maybe I'll just play it after MfP then. Got MFP in a humble bundle I think, but don't have TDD.
Pretty much, yeh. You might not understand some bits here and there in relation to story but you'll get the gist of it.

Yup thats it, thank you! Funny thing is we work at a game store where a boxed SNES and boxed Mario Paint came in last night. Like idiots we thought it went with the SNES lol, didn't even think to check the Mario Paint.

Does anyone know this video game rental commercial? i guess it was a Blockbuster commercial or another game rental location. The commercial is from the late 90's. In it ,a group of friends are sitting on school football bleachers and showing off their "scars" from marathon playing video games over the weekend. Each one shows off blisters and callouses on their thumbs saying how many hours they had played to earn them, when the last kid shows off his thumbs they are giant, swollen, bruised with purple and green marks and pulsating.

I would call it medium sized if more than 15 people are involved. 100 is definitely large.
Is the updated GTA San Andreas on Steam as awful as they say? Apparently the PC version got replaced by a ported Mobile version? Regardless, I still bought the trilogy for 3 on GMG. I never played III but I did love Vice City and San Andreas. Here's hoping San Andreas isn't as awful as people are saying in the comments, I don't want to replay it on my old PS2.

I can sell a bunch of old unwanted games to a nearby shop for 78.71 cash or for 125.10 on a voucher I can only use in their shops and website. I want to take the money but I'm also a bit tempted to take the voucher. What should I do?

Do they have a good selection of games, both used and new? Do they carry all the newest games? How many games do you generally buy in a month, in a year etc.?
Generally I'd say go for the cash but that's almost 60% more in credit so that's a hard one without more information
Will you ever plan to shop at that store again? If it's your usual place or has good sales take the voucher.

Nope. They got on the soul bandwagon with dark souls 1. Most went back to play demons souls but there wasn't a dedicated cast for it as far as I know.

Sure, if your CPU or GPU is running background processes that should have been removed or optimized to run more efficiently.
The heavier the processing load, the more heat produced.
The only region locked games on PS3 are Persona 4 Arena and some karaoke game. Everything else runs on any PS3.
Okami HD didn't get a retail release in the West, that's why you're only finding imports.
Will I have any trouble downloading patches on the NA PSN for the retail version?

I've been searching through the PS4 communities and I see one entitled "Naked anime girls" and there's dozens of hentai pictures on there. I scroll down and see a picture of hardcore gay pornography (real people). Just now I wanted to send a grief report, but I read on there that Sony can suspend your account on claims, so I didn't do it.
Should I do it or risk being suspended? That kinda scared me away from reporting it, even though it's so easy to look at these pictures. You don't have to click on some button that says you're 18 or not.
I didn't know where else to ask this or if I'm being stupid about it. The group has around 508 Members too.
Edit: Sony's Moderation team is deleting a few pictures, so I think they're just taking their time. You'd think they'd delete the community altogether, but I don't know what's going on.

No. Patches aren't bound to your PSN region. DLC is the only thing that has to match the region of the game (but you can use it if it's been downloaded by another account on your PS3). But I don't think Okami had DLC.

That's right. The trophy list is shared between all three versions, so you wouldn't get any trophies anymore.
At least the PAL version doesn't.
Because it's a weird vague question that's answered by common sense. If you asked that of any dev they'd probably look at you cock eyed.

I'm going to start PC gaming again at the end of this month and I don't understand what I get when I buy a PC game from a brick and mortar store these days. Is it a set of DVDs with the game on it, or a Steam code, or a combination of both? Does it depend on the title?
I was concerned because my internet connection sucks and have preordered Fallout 4 from Best Buy. If it's not on DVD then I'm going to be stuck downloading files for days after I pick it up. I may just cancel my preorder from Best Buy and buy it off Steam with the hopes that there will be preload. Anyone know? I'd be grateful for an answer specifically for Fallout 4.

It depends on the title. We won't really know for sure, though you can look to company history for a good idea. Bethesda has a strong PC presence at retail so I'd bet on it being a few DVDs to install rather than just a steam key. Though you might have to download a day 1 patch that's hefty anyway.
If the Steam Preload is up early enough you might be better off just getting it digitally since we won't know for sure until closer to release.
