Emulator Screenshot Thread

That's why it's a joke ;)

PPSSPP is very low intensity for hardware, at least from what I can tell. Don't have much to test it on as far as very low-spec hardware, but... it probably works really well anyway?

Wow! You weren't joking! I just fired it up on a hand me down laptop with an AMD dual core @ 1.9 GHz and integrated GPU. CC: FFVII with Vsync on runs pretty well. I have a laptop with a better GPU but broken keyboard that I may start using more often. I'll have to look into how to take screenshots (assume it's more than print screen?) to give others with lower end hardware an idea of what it looks like.

Press F12 and it saves it on the PSP Screenshot folder on the emulator.

I wonder if 8xSSAA is maybe too much?

Nice Xenoblade shots.

Yea go for it, play around with settings and resolution and find something that you like, lots of options in PPSSPP.

Not sure about screenshots, I usually just Print Screen for emulators.

Woah what wow?! I thought I opened up the console screenshot thread by accident for a second and they were posting 360 shots.

Ain't no 360 games running at this resolution son. :D

edit: realised I disrespected the 3 images per posts rule. Apologies. Edited 2 from the first post and added here.

i can't figure out how to get CRT shaders working in ePSXe for the life of me. I just want to put some curve to my games, man.

I've been asking around in various threads about how folks put custom scan lines/ shaders in Epsxe as well to no avail. I just wanna get better 16:9 scan lines.

At the very least it's an interesting effect. I could almost see a 16bit game doing that.

That's a neat screenshot. How does it play in this way through?

Thanks, it plays just fine and IMO its beautiful in motion
Texts are readable just fine
Desert area looks nice, too
Didnt try all available areas though. The filters might need some adjustment here and there to work with all environments

Not horrid but not great either it's a bit of a middling game when it comes to holding up well when upscaling. A few scenes look pretty nice but some stuff has aged pretty badly.

Looks like PCSX2 is the way to go here based on the screenshots in the PS4 |OT| Thanks for these
Thanks. I'm just glad that more people get the opportunity to play it. I bought the PS4 version to support Level-5, and to show them that there are still people waiting for a Dark Cloud 3.

I ripped my copy of Yakuza and gave it a spin. I'm about an hour in, and while there's some pretty awful graphical bugs, it looks pretty good.

Sorry for the imgur links. Minus seems to be down, and I abload.de doesn't work well enough for me.

PS1 emulation + Reshade is kinda nifty, especially when using a widescreen hack (and downscaling from 4k, heh).

Screens are pretty big because of film grain being added. Let me know if they're too big and I'll just link them.

Man do GameCube and PS2 games look good in HD resolution. PS2 games look fantastic but GC looks a bit better despite having less ram thanks to S3TC. Wish Xbox games could be emulated, would look fantastic!

Some nice screens in here.
If I wasn't so damn lazy I would actually try out some of these emulators that require custom configurations.
