Whoa, is that an OpenFeint icon on the Dungeon Raid app icon? My friends and I lost many days and nights to Dungeon Raid when it first came out. I'm glad to see that it's still on the App Store. I'm not sure why I thought it was pulled.

I Keep Having This Dream looks interesting - bought as well.
I'm not seeing Dungeon Raid on the Canadian App Store :/

Edit: scratch that, found it through Appshopper.

Axe in the Face 2 is out. The original was a fun little game. This one is F2P so not sure how it is IAP wise.

Crossing posting from the MFI controllers thread:

9to5Toys notes that the Steelseries Nimbus is $37.46 shipped for Steelseries:

SteelSeries offers its Nimbus Wireless Apple TV game controller for $49.99. Apply coupon code MADCITYGG during checkout to drop your final price down to $37.46 shipped. That’s a savings of nearly $13 and the lowest price we’ve ever seen. In addition to being designed for the 4th generation Apple TV, the Nimbus Wireless Controller also works with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac. It features Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity, rechargeable batteries that last at least 40 hours and pressure-sensitive buttons. Rated 4 out of 5 stars from Apple shoppers.

No Warbits beta invite for me yet :(.

Keep an eye out for Sparkwave this week. Got a chance to play it early and it's a really fun twitch game that has you winding through obstacles vertically in a sort of snake type way. Very addicting.

Freemium with a $1.99 IAP to remove ads.

What are the controls like on Crashlands?

I'm fine with the controls, but meh on the game and I love these types of games. I haven't enjoyed the last 2+ hours I've played. I'm trying to tough it out to see if it gets better. Progression has slowed to a crawl for me because 1) enemies take forever to kill and 2) I have two quests that I'm stuck on.

Wow

I can't believe I'm so LTTP with Dungeon Raid.

It's so addictive. Like Card Crawl-tier addictive.

Haven't played much I Keep Having This Dream, seems pretty confusing, but I'm so glad I picked up Dungeon Raid

Dungeon Raid is my go to game for when I'm on planes with no connectivity (I spent over 260 hours in the air last year). Have been playing on and off since it came out years ago.

I picked up I Keep Having This Dream and, yeah, it is pretty confusing. At first, I was like why would I actually want to put down a tile for something to attack me? I need to play it some more though because it seems like a good game.

I used to love Dungeon Raid but it's charm wore off as I got into other match 3 RPGs, especially Hero Emblems. I was never a big fan of line drawing match 3s for some probably OCD reason. I should download it again though. Definitely a game that everyone should play.

I do prefer the methodically-control-the-board structure of Hero Emblems and Puzzle Quest, but Dungeon Raid has the fast, breezy strategy that makes it perfect for quick waiting for the bus sessions. And it's really satisfying to link a huge combo.

Always been a big Dungeon Raid fan, and a Darkin one (remember that? Rest in peace) and I've gotta say I'm digging I Keep Having This Dream. Fundamentally different games but carry some of the same rogue-like structure.

I do feel like the progression is a little slow (by this I mean skill and gear aquisition), but a big part of the strategy. If you really want to get far, you've got to put a lot of thought into each of your moves

Any title suggestions for the March thread? I'm assuming we're all going to love Love You To Bits, so some wordplay related to that would be cool

Sadly the Dev has come out and said there will be no Dungeon Raid updates, but a sequel is not out of the question

Ah, didnt know... sad thing indeed, but thanks for letting me know. Reinstalled and played and still love it as it was the first day... And with Darkin gone for good (devs are a bit schemy to my tastes, they said they sold well and suddenly it disappeared without notice)... hopes for that sequel is rising.

Glad you said this cause I bought it when I saw news of the sale, ahead of a 14-hour plane ride to Frankfurt then London. Given that I don't travel well let's hope this distracts me sufficiently!

AFAIK, Dungeon Raid still works on iOS 9.

Edit: Yeah, it works. No widescreen support but game still seems to play just fine.

Yeah, been playing a few games, and yes works... somehow. Darkin is missing the fantastic music it had. Hope for a good replacement, increasing...

Anything like it on the AppStore?

I sympathise with you.

I've had times in my life where I've been catching multiple domestic and international flights every week, and implementing business systems / business intelligence when not flying, lots of fun... something about spending half your life in airports?

Hey folks, can anyone recommend a shooter? Not a fan of spacey/sci-fi stuff, but if it's a must play, I'll give it a go.

Something like Serious Sam is what I'm looking for.

...like first person arcadey?

Doom's on mobile, and there's also Xibalba

If you like top-down/dual-stick:
- Space Marshals
- Crimsonland
- Geometry Wars 3
- Triganorium
- Downwell

Chel-Z looks good:

So did anyone else pick up Swapperoo? The match-3 puzzler from the devs of Quell

Awp, you'd like it. Every tile swap matters, it's very methodical, and there are a lot of levels and different mechanics

Yep. I have it. Great game. Gets pretty challenging but I like how it keeps changing things up and even the dramatic overlord type transition scenes.

I liked tiny thief a lot but didn't the devs do something kind of bad with the payment model? Like it was paid and then went free and if you'd paid you actually lost content?
