The song has already confirmed to be in the game. I think it already is or it will be in the next update.

I fucking give up... the amount of rubberbanding in Eddies Challenge 5 is unbearable. I pull off a great lap with a fully upgraded Lambo and the AI suddenly improves by 5 or more seconds. And this can happen with 5 or 10 seconds left on the clock. I'd have to block them to win or cross the finish behind them so they can't end their laps before the challenge ends. Fuck that. And to think they've added these challenges with the dlc. Weren't their observing how the players reacted to rubberbanding in the main story?

Any advice for getting roadblocks to appear for the Outlaw challenge? I'm at level 40 and I have encountered 1 and that was after a 10+ minute "chase".

And the map for this game sucks. It's hard to tell what events you need to do to advance yhe story.

I kept going around the neighorhood like areas and they appear. You usually have to get the heat level around 2 or 3 to get it going. That's what I've been doing for the daily challenges that requires rockblocks as part of the daily challenges.

Start a pursuit in South Port and stay there. Eventually you'll start getting roadblocks. I know I had to google this one, because in most of the other districts they don't appear at all even if you're involved in a major cop chase. :)

Btw I think I'm done with this game. There's basically nothing to do once you're done with the story. I won't waste my time on leveling up to lvl70 and the Eddie's challenge I'm currently stuck on has way wayyyyyy too much rubberbanding.

Girlfriend bought this for me. Wtf is the purpose of the online requirement? There is literally not a single thing that this game benefits from by its inclusion. I'm about to take my console with me to a beach house for spring break without internet connectivity and there's not a single thing in this game that I want to do that involves multiplayer, leader boards, or the internet. Even Battlefront didn't have this problem, and it's damn near a multiplayer only game. What bullshit.

Edit - seriously, with all these extensive, productive updates, why the fuck can't the simple removal of a bullshit requirement be one of them?

I agree. It still baffles me because there are no benefits to it being online only. It's a nuisance. I would wait for a new entry to see if they decide to get rid of the ridiculous online requirement.

Tried every thing, the phantom steering pisses me off so much.

did you try better grip tires? and changing how fast/slow your steering response is? I often find those help get rid of the phantom steering. I used 2 pips to left for both steer response and steering range and it makes the phantom steering happen left often.

Patch notes for this weeks update. Doesn't look like consoles are receiving wheel support, hopefully in the future.

http://www.needforspeed.com/en_GB/news/game-update-hot-rods

Manual Transmission, new cars, more garage space and Drag Racing. All things you've been asking for and all of which will be going into the next update, due March 3rd.

New Feature: Manual Transmission
A few weeks ago we broke the news that Manual Transmission would be making its way into Need for Speed and we're really pleased to be able to confirm that it'll arrive as early as next week. We know that this is a feature that many of you have requested and we can't wait for you to get your hands on it.

New Cars: Hot Rods
Arriving fresh into Need for Speed are two brand new Hot Rods. Starting with the 1932 Hot Rod which will come with four unique Bodykits. Each of these bodykits has the potential to transform your Hot Rod into a great new look; Soft Top, Coupe, Sedan and Pickup.

Each version of the Hot Rod also comes complete with a full set of customization, including Hood, Lights, Grille, Exhausts, Bumpers and more.

The second Hot Rod being added into Need for Speed is the Aaron Beck ‘BeckKustoms F132’. This is an absolute monster of a ride and defines the word ‘custom’. When you take the shell from a Ford 1932, gently massage it into a fierce Formula One style chassis and strap in a high performance NASCAR engine, this is what you get.

New Events: Drag Racing
Inspired by the Drag Events of previous NFS titles, these new events are the perfect place for you to get your speed fix.

Unleash a burnout on the starting line to prime your wheels, align in the start box and time your revs perfectly. Think wisely about the use of nitrous, as it may just influence the outcome of the event.

There will be five new Drag events for you to take part in; Neck to Neck, The Perfect Shifts, Drag the Town, Pedal to the Metal and Speed Tunnel.

New Feature: The Warehouse
You’ve read that we’re adding new cars but before you head over to Twitter or Reddit to proclaim you need more garage space we’ve got your back.

Starting next week your garage will receive an upgrade that will allow you to store an additional five cars, perfect for those eyeing up a new ride and no excuse now not to take a Hot Rod for a fun-filled spin around Ventura bay.

Wrap Editor Improvements
We’ve been constantly blow away by your Wrap Editor creations and we can’t wait to see what you do based on the improvements coming in the Hot Rods update.

One of the most common bits of feedback we’ve received about the Wrap Editor is that you would like a coordinates system allowing you to position decals with a lot more accuracy. This information will now be shown in a panel below the selected decal in the edit decal menu and will update in real time when the decal is transformed.

Writing on your car also becomes even easier as we introduce Text Decals 2.0 and selectable fonts. Simply select your desired font and a popup will appear where you’ll be prompted to input your desired text.

Animations within the Wrap Editor are also being improved including:

Animation indicating when a decal has been added to a vehicle
Improved animation to indicate more clearly the selected decal on a vehicle
Speed up info text animation when showing an action happening

Achievements and Trophies
There are three new achievements and trophies for you to go and unlock:

Drag Queen – Win five Drag Race events
Wrap it up – Download a shared Wrap
Kustom kar – Buy your first Hot Rod

Full Patch Notes
With this Living Game update there will be two new vehicles, a new game mode and Manual Transmission.

We are bringing Hot Rods to Need for Speed! Firstly the Ford 1932 Hot Rod, secondly the Aaron Beck BeckKustoms F132. Along with the Hot Rods players will now be able to play a Drag Race and use Manual transmission

On top of these big features the update also includes:
A Virtual Warehouse where you can keep an additional 5 cars in your garage
Improved Snapshot overview screen in the Need for Speed Network menu so you can find out more about your snapshots
Improvements Snapshot Pro mode
Improvements to the wrap editor
3 new Trophies and Achievements
More campaigns for Rep / Cash and Discounts
A variety of tweaks and improvements including game play, World and audio
Multiple stability fixes

Oh wow that's awesome. Glad we have more space in the garage. Feel like I got the best deal ever getting this game for $20 and seeing all the support it is still getting.

Is this like an actual car, or a made up one?

Yes, it is a real car. 1932 Ford. Here's how one would have looked from the factory:

And a modified example:

I would say that it is one of the most influential cars in American history, as far as car culture goes. It was the first year of Ford's flathead, has an iconic design, and is the quintessential hot rod. Most builds do away with the fenders, sometimes the hood as well, if the hood is left on it's common to have it louvered, sometimes the trunk as well. It's an exciting addition to me, and I'm glad to see the old deuce getting some recognition.

Holy shit. What support this game is getting. I never expected it.

I've been wanting to delete it for hard drive space, but I guess I shouldn't do that.

I wonder how many more of these there will be.

This Manuel transmission update is fucking a disaster and I have no hope this need for speed or Ghost games to make an authentic street racing game, or a good game for that matter.

Ghost games....a Skyline R34 does not have fucking 8 gears! Is this some sort of joke? you guys claim this need for speed caters for car enthusiast and authentic car culture and yet you put an 8 speed gear box in a R34?
