No problem!Thanks
They should bundle it with VR.Sony needs a NMS LE bundle.
Both! They should bundle it with VR.
Deal!Both!
(Continuation of discussion on page 51 of the January results thread.)
I still don't think this would be smart as the upgrades would be seen in the games and gaming features. Therefore, new models would more than likely attract both groups; People who like the latest devices/tech and people who are big gamers.
Keeping the Xbox name for each new model would give attention to the brand and help make it stay relevant in my opinion.
Concept sounded nice from the start, but all in all I expected a download only, 20$ game, especially when the developer was such a small team with the biggest to date game being Joe Danger.Really good news. I've been really skeptical about this game, but now I'm hoping Amazon gets some more LE in stock soon.
If MS actually does introduce X.5 hardware, do you think they'll have an "upgrade" path for pre existing Xbox One owners to get the 1.5 model, or will they expect everyone to pay a few hundred dollars to buy it?
This generation looks to be interesting!

Thanks for the clarification!Just as a heads up this was specifically referring to the LE Edition

Bone isn't upgradable, so whatever they release next will effectively replace it. Phil's meaning wasn't super clear, but I dunno if he was actually saying they'd be replacing the Bone "during this generation," but perhaps. If MS actually does introduce X.5 hardware, do you think they'll have an "upgrade" path for pre existing Xbox One owners to get the 1.5 model, or will they expect everyone to pay a few hundred dollars to buy it?

Err, don't you mean, "at most"?I doubt there's an upgrade path, just a trade-in incentive at the very least.
I thought fanfic was supposed to be eroticI'd bet they would, even if it cost then a cool billion. They swallowed a hard pill for the brand with the 360 RMAs, they'd do it for the X1 brand if they thought it'd pay off in the long-term for their W10/X1 initiatives into the living room and such.

Can't speak for everyone, but the problem here is that they announced 2 things at the same time, the incremental box and UWA stuff. Don't know if this was on purpose, but like this a quite nice idea got mixed up with something rather frightening.
I am not afraid of changes, but not everything new is automatically better.

How so? The idea of a buy-once product with a guaranteed lifespan and never having to feel like you are missing out is appealing to some. If an xbox fan feels that way, then speaking up isn't misguided. & IDK about fearing change, core gaming community love new console releases.
The idea of a customers digital library moving with them from box to box is what is really interesting to me.
There is not much else positive to say at the moment to get attention for XboxOne and PR people (incl. Spencer) need to justify their salary.MS' mistake so far has been mentioning something like this without have the full vision packaged and ready to communicate. They did the same damned thing with the Xone reveal. They've learned nothing. It's like they're so entrenched in the plans and philosophy and have bought into it internally in such a way that they think everyone will naturally agree. Silly of them to do really.
More than 201k? I believe so...Will Street Fighter sell more than Rise of the Tomb Raider in it's 1st month?
Same -- it plays a pretty big role in why I have changed my views on whether or not a plan like this could work a bit.
It messed you up last time, because you forgot to change it before the deadline. Might be safer to predict something you could live with if you forgot to come back to it ...
Just thought about this... Street Fighter V has sold in 2 weeks less than 30,000 in UK.
Rise of the Tomb Raider has sold 36,000 for XB1 first week.
Ouch, and most of us thought RotTR was a mega bomb. I wonder how Capcom thought it was a good idea to release the game in its early access state.Just thought about this... Street Fighter V has sold in 2 weeks less than 30,000 in UK.

This is Sony's first really huge mistake this gen. Even if the decision was Capcom's, Sony should have known better and stopped this nonsense.Ouch, and most of us thought RotTR was a mega bomb. I wonder how Capcom thought it was a good idea to release the game in its early access state.
Perhaps Sony didn't really get the chance to do anything about it? I don't know, I don't think Sony would have released the game in this state if they had the choice. This is Sony's first really huge mistake this gen. A publisher should always have the right to intervene. But of course we don't know, maybe they expressed concern, but Capcom ignored them. It's a pity.I dont see how. Capcom is the one that decided t push the game out for their pro tour. I mean it was really stupid to do so without the proper advertising to sell customers on their new game as service direction for the series but thats on Capcom.

Hey, man, I know you're new here, so just a friendly advice, only few of us here actually want to see any company fail. Most of us on Sales GAF love to discuss why some decisions are made and how they benefit either party. Marketing deals and bundles are a good example of this. No one is actually saying that the SFV deal is detrimental to the PS4 or Sony in any way. It still likely pushed some consoles, but not to the extent that most of us initially believed. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big mistake at all....it won't effect ps4 at all.

So don't you think thatIn the grand scheme of things it's not a big mistake at all....it won't effect ps4 at all.
On the other hand, it would be the same as full BC jumping to a new generation, just at a bigger gap...so there would be no point besides just splitting the userbase and stuffing the channel with upgrades
Why would it? It harms capcom a hell of a lot tho.I have to echo his sentiments. It means nothing for PS4. There was potential for more but this isn't going to harm PS4 in the long run.
So don't you think that
1) They could have done better?
2) Successful exclusives lead to more exclusives?
3) A "not big mistake" in the grand scheme could be painful for people in the small one?
4) An IP with a history, reputation and fanbase like SF should not be treated with care?
This is exactly the attitude that fuels narratives.
