I was really impressed with Tokido's play, I expect no less from a God. The American players are gonna have to adapt. I don't have a trained eye for this yet but was Tokido taking advantage of any option selects?

What? It's an option provided by twitch. I don't like it, but it's not assholeish.

I don't mind paywalls for streamers who are trying to make a living off what they do and hugely appreciate guys like Spooky who do just that but would never gate content with cash. When it comes down to big companies doing it I feel like it's assholeish.

Wish there was more blowback about this shit. What an asshole move.

Capcom in this case do put it up later on so it only gets annoying for people who don't want to wait at all and don't want to spend any money on that. Some stray uplouds will happen on youtube earlier for sure , someone with a subscription will put some highlights out.
Don't know about catching up on 24 hours of footage when this is over.

Assholeish impiles a malicious intent that I don't see here. Besides, like I said, Capcom Fighters puts it up on their YouTube channel a couple of days later.

Japan seem months ahead. Bonchan not letting a badly spaced stomp block string from Necalli rock for free is some good shit.

Exactly. I feel the same. I think it just sucks. Some of these tournies end up late for me due to timezone differences, so I have to catch up on them the next morning. Not being able to check past broadcasts is just really annoying. Searching on YouTube can easily lead to the results being spoiled.

Capcom is so weird with their uploads. They never uploaded their whole CPT announcement with Combofiend to youtube and it was on pretty late on the west coast so I don't think many people saw that live. Same with all the missing Pro Talk episodes. And they partner with Twitch, too, since Mike Ross is the host.

It's pretty terrible even outside the tournaments.

It's a clear cut move to make a quick buck that goes against a standard set by the hardest workers in the community who need the cash much more. How isn't it greedy? I'd be shocked if it wasn't a decision made by somebody further up Capcom's corporate structure than the guys who actually run Capcom Fighters.

How much do you really think Capcom makes from people who sub just for the archives?

I thought that wasn't a serious post.

To add, Capcom Fighters VODs are behind a paywall because they want to deter people from reuploading their content, I think.

Probably not enough to justify shutting everyone else out is my guess
My point if you think, it's a decision based solely on montary consideration, I don't think you can justify it as you pointed out.

I buy DryEyeRelief observation of trying to prevent easy reuploads more than greed.

Season 2 of Daredevil is complete(awesome season btw), none of my team are playing today in the NCAA tourney so it will be nothing but Final Round today.
