Modern Warfare Remastered won't be sold separately

Biggest issue for me is even if I can get the COD4 code separated from IW, they are guaranteed to sell the CoD4 maps in IW DLC packs.

Activision will probably block this on Xbox One BC.

Honestly you dont want to play the original... full of BS online now.

Are you kidding?

Do you not see the genius in selling map DLCs/season pass that includes Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare maps. It's totally what they'll do. Get three IF maps and 2 MW maps plus Zombie, XP or whatever in the first DLC drop.

Yup. They'll bundle MW:R maps in with IW content and season pass. Activision may be greedy but they aren't stupid and they know lots of people will buy into this. Me included.

Raven would have to develop the maps concurrently with while Infinity Ward makes their maps for that to happen. Which is possible, but it's two different development studios. That's not the primary reason I don't think it'll happen, but they're not going to support MW:R post-launch. They want people playing the newest game.

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
Well screw you too Activision and to think that I was actually thinking about jumping back into CoD but oh well.

ideally it should be $40 because its not a complete remaster (10 maps), but they've managed to convince you to pay them $80 and consider it a good deal.

its like the exact reaction they were probably aiming for.
Activision charged $60 for a half-assed Deadpool PS4/Xbox One port. $80 to get access to a Reamster sounds about right.

Edit: Ooooops, they actually charged $50 for Deadpool. How generous. lol

I was actually somewhat interested in MW remaster, especially if it was priced for around 20-30 euros. But I am not going to buy the new Call of Duty, especially not the one from Infinity Ward.

Well, Battlefield has always been more my type of thing, so I hope the Battlefield reveal will not be as disappointing as this.

My question is:

Can we get promods and such working on CoD4 RM on PC?

If not it aint worth $80 for 10 maps. As sad as it is.

Everyone posting "buy and sell" have you really thought that through? This is Activision we are talking about.

I can almost guarantee that the MW remaster will be a huge DLC patch, and the only way to launch it is through a link in the main menu of IW, meaning you will have to keep the disc.

They'll release it separately since the demand for it is obviously high. Might just have to wait a little while for it to happen though.

All I want is the campaign. Never did like the multiplayer in cod 4.

I can imagine them selling it as a preorder bonus for the bundle and those people get it a month earlier. Then when IW comes out, sell it for $30.

They want people buying the season pass/DLC. Six and half a dozen, doesn't matter what people are playing, they've got your 60/80/100 bucks and season pass/DLC. Job done.

Well I mean it is kind of worth it with 20% off from Amazon and BB. Using GAF mentality, you are basically getting a free new COD along side MW remastered. And if you don't like just sell it back and keep the MW copy (if its a digital copy only that works without the disc, and you know its going to require the disc -_-).

As long as there is a separate code inside the game box I could give a fuck. If Infinity Ward put the actual game inside IW so you need the disc to play it then they've reached unparalleled levels of scumbaggery.

I ain't even mad. Infinite Warfare's campaign actually looks interesting. Which is more than can be said about Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, and Black Ops 3.

The multiplayer might be iffy though. Good thing MW is coming back.

I'd be in the dick
Wasn't there an Amazon listing for and MW trilogy collection? I expect that'll be out in the first half of 2017 so people can just get that.

Is it a download code that people will sell separately tho?

And wasn't the Amazon listing for MW Trilogy? They didn't say it won't be sold in that bundle, they just said not separately

Maybe Infinite Warfare will be surprisingly great and the only reason any of us will play it is because it included Modern Warfare Remastered.

Lol of course, you think they want to canibalize IW sales?

They could have done CoD4 like 6 months before this new one and show gamers what a real CoD was like before massively over-promising and under-delivering with the new one!

10 bucks says that will change after launch, when the game becomes available as a separate download.

In other words, add 'at launch' to the title and then you have a true statement.

Figured as much with Activision, they're not going to sabotage the sale of their own product. There's plenty of other high quality FPS games coming out this year though (overwatch, titanfall 2, lawbreakers, BF (WW1 theme)) so I won't mind giving this a miss.

Wouldn't surprise me. Activision definitely doesn't want the market flooded with pre-owned copies. Honestly, Im not even thrilled about the option of buying a copy and selling it because I prefer to only support products and I like and COD hasn't been that for a long time.

This is ridiculous to me! I want to scream and shout and boycott and start a petition! Terrible, just terrible. I hope this thread goes 1000 pages!
