(Rumor)(spoilers) this Possible UC4 Easter Egg oh boy

Nope, Universal owned it since Day 1. They just licensed it to Sony to push the PlayStation brand (hence the many commercials back in the late 1990s).

Universal then merged with Vivendi, bought Sierra later on and then merged with Activision.

That is what I suspected too.

Yea, it's a total clusterfuck.

I'm a little thankful Crash ended up at Activision because Vivendi eventually sold it's stake in Universal and now they are a part of Comcast. I can't imagine what Comcast would have done with him since they don't even make video games, but it wouldn't have been good.

Vivendi still owned the IP even after selling off Universal though. Activision split from Vivendi back in 2013, dragging Crash along with them.

Yeah that makes sense. It really shows how far Crash ended up from where he started. What a mess.

Yeah, it makes you wonder how corrupted Universal was during all of this. Dave Siller, who was the producer on the original Crash Bandicoot mentioned that Universal was the best place to work at until they were sold off to Seagram who pretty much fucked everything up and costed him a job.

Comcast also didn't run themeparks until they bought NBCUniversal, and that's been a godsend for the parks

What happens if someone beats her highscore? Does this unlock a trophy and trigger a special cutscene and dialogue and reward you with a special thing?

I wouldn't be surprised if the first two things happened (trophy pop + special dialogue), but I doubt that a special item would be unlocked. Who knows, maybe it'll be tied to an elaborate puzzle that'll give the first unlockers of it access to a trailer of the Crash reboot?

Noo! Make Jak 4!

These types of posts man.. Smh. Why do people have to be like "fuck those fans of a franchise that I dont like, make a game for me Sony!"

Naughty Dog doesn't have that talent, or for that matter, the co-creators who made both Jak and Crash. So don't expect them to make games true their form. Look up Jak 4 concpet art that ND had brewing up.

It would be grand if Crash did his trademark victory dance when you beat Elana's high score.

If not, well, that was a missed opportunity on Naughty Dog's end.

Did we ever get confirmation on what exactly appears in the credits roll for UC4? If Crash was a property of Activision, wouldn't it say so there?

Damn, so basically TWO Easter eggs?

That's cool.

Essentially yes. You don't play the game at the end as far as I know, you just look at the game case.

I asked a guy on here who played the game and he said he didn't notice, but he wasn't paying attention to the credits most of the time. Take that as you will.

Anyone else noticed that the image in the OP has been deleted?

So I've got images of this from share button on my computer here, but it seems like all images are being taken down. I just want to say one thing about it.
I wouldn't call it a Spoiler. Mainly because it's a part of the story and you play it no matter what.

Still surprised we don't have an answer on if Activision's name is in the credits or not.

Yeah; you think that would've been the biggest piece of news from the people that beat the game. Maybe ND Ninjas woke up in time to silence that bit of the credits?

I came back to see the image again closely, but it was deleted. I found another copy of the image on google. I would post it again, but I don't want to get banned. Also, I don't know if it was discussed before, but the cover art for Crash is rated M.

Someone must have at least seen the credits to report on it right? Aren't there tons of copies in the wild currently? On Gaf?

Yeah. I mean, even if there's nothing there, that's a big story. Hell, since that means Sony would own Crash, that'd be the big story.

NECA was debunked.
Some website domains were updated. PlayStation social media has been throwing around Crash references for a while.

In other news, they're watching us:

I dont buy the debunking of the NECA thing. The director of the company who has made a bunch of Playstation videogames figurines would be tricked by such a shitty fan mockup?

Or is it something else that I dont recall?

EDIT: Also, if you are watching, Hi Neil ;)
or hi sony ninjas

Yeah, I don't believe for a second that the guy got confused by that terrible fan box art. That was such a shitty excuse. I still consider NECA a hint.

For a guy who's apart of business that put great detail to their work, you would've think he would be able to tell that wasn't legit. Wouldn't he? 😕. I don't even know.
