Wow. It's you who asked him? You are so lucky that he answered you. It is really fitting for him to write the story too.

Yeah I didn't think he'd answer me, but it was great of him.

Whoa...this is thread worthy.

The gameplay is extremely pedestrian, but the writing is legit good.

Do it if you can, I'm busy right now. :)

wow and skip that game because some said it was a shitty game

Well, game it's kinda average and the story is not exactly awesome but it's really good, it feels natural and has a focus that I did not expected. I'm sure that with the right budget these guys can write really awesome stuff.

Cory Barlog now on GameSpot: "We could have done bombastic boss fights with intense combat for this demo, but we wanted the public to believe in this new Kratos."

This answers every doubt about the demo and the game. This should be in OP and title.

Come on dude... there is no 'spoiler' at all in that tweet.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=207264705&postcount=1200

And that maybe something may happen to Kratos at the end of this game (maybe even die) that is why a new character (mostly his son) will take the lead for the next episodes).l
I just advised you to avoid such situation, otherwise I would have cropped the tweet and posted it before, since I was the first to notice it.

Represent.

Represent(ative) of bad opinions
So what exactly do they mean by no cutscenes? Pretty sure the whole Kratos reveal inside the shed is is a cutscene, no?

So you know nothing at all about the game/story but you 'think' it could be a spoiler. Nah man. He simply said 'who knows' because.....'who knows'. Even he doesn't now. He wouldn't tweet that if it was a spoiler.

No cutscenes and no black bars too. All the watching moments are part of gameplay, when Kratos gets angry at his son, his rage meter goes up and then goes down (probably Cory Barlog pushed some buttons to cool it down) and when he tells his son to aim at the deer, a crosshair showed up to aim and shoot.

No camera cuts. From beginning to end, the game will always be a single shot. Imagine if you played through the new God of War in a single sitting and never died/failed. You wouldn't see the camera cut away for a single second.

I think it means every cutscene will just occur right there in-engine with no sort of screen transition. Like during the demo when Kratos was instructing his son.

I think he means its not pre-rendered or anything, its the in game characters models talking.

GOW games, since the PS3 era didn't use any pre-rendered models or cutscenes. They didn't even use LOD for the entire GOW3 and Kratos was always 35K polys wherever he was even when he was held by Cronos between his two fingers and looking so tiny. His muscles still flexed and pumped at that moment (like when he activated his rage mode in this game).

There are multiple tribes and factions with different languages ? :O

That along with the fact that you can literally summon your axe at any point in the game is wild. Also hearing that there will be a series of events you play from the end of GoW3 up until this new game gets me excited.

I don't think they said anything about playing these series of events... I would be very surprised if we got to play them. I can imagine flashbacks, maybe. Then again, there could be gameplay there, I suppose.

Given the new direction they're going with the game, it sounds like the perfect opportunity for some amazing "hold up on the stick" interactive cutscenes.

Don't get it. That demo did the opposite for me.

The more I hear about this game, the more excited I get. I was totally cool with another traditional God of War, I would have bought it day one even! But with this demo, it shot to the top of my most anticipated games list. It's just not what I expected from a God of War game, but that's a great thing.

Hey, I have some big news!! (it's big to me at least!!)

http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a510/Mega_Sackman/gowwriters_zpsyu5g G]

I'm pretty sure it's the same people behind Lost Planet 3 story which was really really good!!
Whoa I have that game but only played the intro and I skipped past the story stuff. So it's good? I may end up playing it now. I thought it was said to be bad, everyone seemed to like LP2 more.
Gameplay is mediocre but its surprisingly one of the most intimate narratives in a TPS. These guys are great at Character Relationships.
Dang :\

There is no way that kid isnt Thor or at least heavily hinted at being Thor.

First line of dialogue from the kid
"That dull hammer doesn't scare me"

oh and he shoots fucking lightning

Story speculation
Would not be surprised if Kratos becomes Odin by the end (ie. losing an eye) and starts Norse mythology

They aren't revealing the kids name either. Right now he is named Charlie, but Barlow said that the name is not final.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Wish Freya will be in this game.

This is Kratos Biological son so that would make Thor half Greek. I don't see that happening :)

Biological son of Kratos who is the son of Zeus. Guess who shoots lightning in the family. Or should I say, did.
