I still try to play it sometimes; it still hurts. This was supposed to be the collection of all collections..

Scorpio re-release with 1080/60 Reach included?

Would you even want them to re-release it knowing whos going to make it? I dont. 343 doesnt have my confidence anymore. Theyve got a lot to make up for.

There are no 3rd person Machinima controls, is that right? I can only seem to lower my weapon and have a camera that I can move freely and place it somewhere. Coordinates don't work for me and not sure what else there is.

I think the issue is that 343i didn't make it.

It was a hodge podge of developers contracted by 343. And getting all of there systems to woke together proved to much to chew.

The game should have been H2A only, and they could have added to it through updates.

Given an extra year to work on a re-release, I'd imagine they could get it to work. The hard part would be getting people to care.

If they're going to omit half the game like they did with ODST, there's no point in remaking or porting Reach.

If anything, I'd rather have a straight port of Reach to PC with the official Megalo tools made available. But as it is, Reach can be left alone.

Yup, the fact that we were promised a full explanation for what happened even though we were promised one should be enough evidence at this point. I refuse to forget though in the off chance they ever decide to re-release those games separately or another collection as I feel I'd be entitled those re-releases at no additional charge.

Hell, they could've bundled H2A and HCEA together with reworked MP maps from both and called it a day. That would've been a great value and would've been far more successful at launch, IMO.

Also would've saved us from HALO 5 LOOK LIKE AN UP-REZZED HALO 4 noise

I’m still upset about H2A because it was wasted potential. All they had to do was release H2A with all the maps remade and it would have been amazing. Instead MCC fucked everything up.

No lies detected. They went for the best value package gaming has ever seen, and ended up with one of the worst high profile launches ever. A really wild swing.

I actually sorta feel bad for the team because they were aiming for the ultimate goodwill move and fell woefully short. They bit off way more than they could chew and have been vilified for it. Their really poor communication since picking up the franchise doesn't help matter though.

Oh well such is life

Personally, all I wanted was halo CE and Halo 2, because 3 and 4 kinda sucked in comparison. It also would have been nice to have people actively playing vanilla CE and 2 side by side, so late comers could see how drastically different those two games were. I still hear people talking about how Halo5 is an example of 343i taking too many liberties with the franchises mechanics. But if these mechanics were the basis of Halo Reach, no one would have batted an eye. Infact reach would have been a better game.

I have a few people that haven't played in a couple weeks, but I want to give them a chance with this new update before kicking them. If there are peeps that don't even have Xboxs anymore, though, you can bet there will be some slots opening up today.

I won't be able to play much this weekend because I got family coming in town. :(

So I'm gonna have fun placing bets.

The stream will top at >8500 viewers on twitch
The halo waypoint forums will be flush with people excited because "343 finally listened"
The halo waypoint forums will be flush with people outraged because "343 is further ruining halo"
Assault will be fixed, but there still won't be a playlist to play it in
The matchmaking system will temporarily work as good as it did at launch, then...
There will be a 400% increase in smurf accounts
The Rig remix will actually be good and competitively viable
They'll tease a new update at the end of the stream

I still play regularly but never post here, pleas don't kick me from the SC! I always play solo as well because I can't chat but I'd love to play with some other gaffers sometime.

Sometimes I wonder if 343's MM is consisted of placing you with at least two good players, including yourself, and two Garbo BKs in both teams to "even" the odds. Until you actually start placing higher in Arena rank that their MM system puts you with players with equal skill/rank. Play solo and you'll almost always get punished with BKs in your team. Lazy design.

So the update isn't until tonight? I haven't played H5 in forever (and don't know their updating/patch schedule), but I'm super pumped for Warzone Firefight.

A few of us fire it up from time to time. The most interesting (and infuriating) problem we still have with this game is that is breaks party chat with more than two people. If we have 3+ people playing, at some point someone WILL stop hearing the rest of us talk, and we have to kill the game and party and start over. Beyond that, it seems to work ok.

Please don't hesitate to visit here more often, mic or not! We often have Warzone Saturdays if you enjoy that sorta thing.
