Wow!
So I'm assuming
he's on his way to see Jake.

What gives that impression? I'm trying to remember when they crossed paths in the book, and I can only think of the
confrontation at the end of W&G

Maybe my memory is bad-it's been 20 years since I read the book. But didn't he
push Jake into traffic?

With this talent should be good but not sure it will be a great representation. As long as Idris nails Roland and McConaughey gets Walter O Dim right it should be good with kings work as 11/22/63 just showed changing stuff is ok as long as you keep the spirit and intent of the original.

Now they just need to do a standalone yet tie in adaption of Insomnia, very important to the rose and one of my favorite King works.

I dunno. He doesn't look menacing at all to be. But I do have faith in the actor, just looks like a guy wearing a suit to me.

Looking good as far as I'm concerned.

regarding speculations: Since they showed the Horn they can pretty much run with the story, I'm sure they`ll keep some important beats from the books but it will differ a lot.

So many good shots of him today, I love this
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm.
I've been kicked around since I was born.
And now it's all right, it's O.K.
And you may look the other way.
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man.
Whether you're a brother
Or whether you're a mother,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Is this based in NYC? I haven´t read the books, but I thought it was a fantasy world based story. Can someone shed soem light on this?

Well, read if you want to be spoiled

The Gunslinger lives in a world similar to ours, and most of the story takes place there, but there are segments that do take place in our world in differing time periods

Thanks! I wont read it though. I don't want to be spoiled. But I can guess that some parts take place in the real world.

lol what was the point of asking the question? hehe. I recommend reading the first 3 books before the movie!

I mostly wanted to know if it was remaining true to the story or one of those adaptations that changes the setting.

The books have been on my backlog for a while now, I either don't have the time or they seem like a big undertaking. I will try to read them first three before the movie comes out, though.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
The man in Black fled across the city, and the Barista made him a Cappuccino with Soy Milk

Just Jared has some new close-ups of Elba in costume here

Was Roland getting ammo in Jakes New York? I forget how many New York times there are in the story :/

He goes to NY to get Ammo in Drawing of the Three IIRC. Jake comes back the next book. They are probably combing the two since Eddie and Susannah don't appear to be in this movie.

Stephen King has hinted quite heavily that the films are the next 'cycle' of the story.

I'm really gonna miss Eddie & Suzannah but I'm more than willing to give the film a chance.

Well.....I guess.....I dunno....for real though there is no way in hell they could or should do Sussanah how she is presented in the books. Never really understood her character except being a horrible black stereotype 50% of the time.

Her racist personality is so over the top that it's hard for me to be offended.
