Only downside to donating is the constant solicitation for more. I *still* get phone calls from the Hillary Victory Fund begging for money because I floated her $20 dollars in April of 2015.
Yeah, honestly I don't think I'll ever donate towards a candidate. I came close to donating about $300 I had in Credit-Card Rewards to Bernie, but I didn't, and looking at it now, I'm really glad I didn't.

I don't like Trump enough to actively feel good about giving him money lol.

First tragedy, then farce.
I'm kind of worried that Hillary's campaign is burning through cash but not yet seeing returns in polling. They're spending like the last months of the Bernie campaign right now. It's a good thing to be active and on the air waves, but I wish we could see some polling returns.

This early on its about defining your competition. Haymakers come in the Fall.

$50 to hilldawg. Trump needs to lose in remarkable fashion and I'll do everything I can to help. Will be volunteering first chance I get.

Just an absolutely disgusting week of bigoted circle jerking. Never want to see anything like it again in this country.

I trust her team here. Yes, she's already got ads running, but she's got far more cash on hand than Trump does, plus she's got a much deeper pool of donators than he does. Don't even get me started on Trump's (lack of) ground game! Hillary's got the funds to open (and keep open) campaign offices all over the place. Overall I'd much rather be in her financial position than Trump's.

Yea.. strongly considering making my first political donation.

Trump losing the election is not enough; him and his racist, bigoted ilk must be humiliated.

Really don't get how you go from being a supporter of Hillary or Bernie to Trump.
As a Bernie supporter, because he spoke to me an emotional level and I felt he was the only candidate that truly cared not only about me and my community, but every American. I didn't agree with most of the economical aspects of Bernie's campaign, but as a person, I trusted him. Plus I liked his stance on protection gun manufactures and fracking.

Honestly the biggest impact on me potentially not voting Trump is just that Bernie keeps speaking against him and disagreeing with him, even when Trump "praises" Bernie like tonight. So maybe Bernie is right and Hillary is a better option than Trump. Bernie is really making a hard call for me.

Also mah gunz. Even though I don't own a gun and never fired a gun. MAH GUNZ

I supported Hillary in the very beginning because her and Jeb! were like the only two candidates running at the time.

The GOP put out this hilariously terrible anti-Hillary propaganda video literally seconds after she announced her candidacy, and it was sooooooooo bad that I immediately went and donated money to her in response.

Once Bernie's campaign started taking off I was firmly on his wagon tho.

Man, the amount of people saying at least i saw on my timeline on twitter about trump did a good speech..i am fucking dead.

It was the best Trump speech we've gotten because he used a teleprompter and stayed on message.

But "The Best Trump Speech" does not go very far.

Ivanka though... Goddam, great speech.

Hillary and Bernie agree on the vast majority of issue. You're a fool if you think she wouldn't fight for the vast majority of things Bernie was talking about.

This isn't about "trust". It's a matter of public record. Hillary's voting record proves that she's a liberal.

And for the love of fucking god, why the fuck do you think Republicans have been ruthlessly attacking her for decades? It's because she's a liberal! Like Bernie! Who wants to fight for liberal positions! And elect liberal Supreme Court justices!

How do you go from Bernie to Trump? They have diametrically different views on every issue.

Abortion rights, LGBT rights, police reform, borders, climate, guns, education, obamacare, wages, etc. etc. etc.

So now you support Trump...?

You do realize Bernie and Trump are practically the opposite of each other, right?

That line of thinking makes absolutely no sense at all.

The FBI thing needs a couple of weeks to fade into the background. She'll be looking good after the convention, the DNC is going to look like the Superbowl compared to the RNC's county fair ("Meet TV's Scott Baio!").

Trump's words really spoke to me tonight. I've never donated to any candidate, but his strong words made me finally decided to go for it. All in for Hillary.

Just to be clear, its great that you support your candidate, I want to make sure that is crystal. I want everyone to vote, even if they aren't voting for who I want. I just would like it explained to me why you support X candidate. If you cannot clearly explain it, then I'm going to lose all respect for you. Not that I'm saying you should care.

Not sure why people keep engaging these Sanders/Trump people.

They are not looking for factual information nor can you play on their empathy, they have been told it all before on GAF many times. Their reasons are their own (and only their own) and you're wasting your time really.

Hardcore Bernie fan who who doesn't love Hillary (though I was going to vote for her anyway but in a tepid way).

Full on team Hillary right now and it's not even close. I would donate money if I could (college, yo).

I want a another 64 like election, please. Send that fucker back to the 50's.

My dream is to not just see Trump defeated. I want Hillary Clinton to demolish him, and to have his little fucking racist hands waving fraud all through election night as his relevance evaporates in an instant.

Only a full scale rejection of Trumpism will suffice.
