I'm still pissed that all these fuckers lead to CSGOLounge being killed. It was great seeing smaller CS tournaments happening and getting views. Yeah, it was largely from betting fans watching to see if their bets played out but as someone that loves E-Sports and new media, it was great seeing smaller guys make a name and make some cash winning these smaller tournaments.

Plus, I enjoyed betting on games with useless skins. Gave them actual value.

That's the only part of all of this that I'm a little disappointed about in terms of not being able to gamble anymore.

AFAIK, csgolounge hasn't really been accused of any wrongdoing have they? I guess just their existence kind of indirectly caused the iBP shit, but they always seemed like a pretty legit group of people.

Its a pity that Faze clan seems to get a lot less attention around this compared to Tmartn. Feels unfair in that regards. Not that Tmartn didnt deserve to be responsible of course, but it seems that Faze clan did the same thing that he did, and they get a lot less flak for it it seems.

No ones gonna make so many PR faux pas that Tmartn made after he made them. I doubt theyll be forgotten when charges get thrown out - it will be these types of guys that have implicated themselves multiple times (publicly) that become the legal precedents going forward.

Yeah the one guy and his GF where we actually have prove that he rigged the game get way less hate than tmartn.

Tmartin and Pro Synidicate were first and thrown into the spotlight so they're going to get the most hate. Tmartn's antics after they got caught drew even more hate as he was attempting to cover up that shit... poorly, on top of his house tour "apology" video. It's not surprising that others that get outed will slip under the radar since he's the face of this whole mess so even syndicate is getting less attention. People are probably getting tired of the story too, as people get tired of hearing anything over time.

Email could be fake.
But tmartn has zero credibility for being truthful right now.

Who to believe?
Guy with proof someone is a shit Lord on their own gambling site ;
Or said person saying it's fake?

I'm not sure that Email is legit. Does that icon next to the send mean Google cannot authenticate the sender and could be spoofed?

Edit: Also it could be completely made up altogether, since there are no proof at all to confirm anything.

Why do so many of these videos just have some guy rambling on with footage from an FPS game in the background? Is this a thing that leafy dude popularized? Just seems really lazy and I'm noticing more and more of these and they seem like lame gossip rags.

Not saying that the CSGO gambling doesn't need to be called out, those dudes are scum.

Another video from HonorTheCall, he claims tmartn tried to bribe him and blackmail him.

I'm not a supporter of tmartn and I think he along with all the CSGO gambling shills need to get their youtube accounts deleted already. But I have to say, that was some bad judgement to believe that email. It's very obviously a troll.

C'mon, "do not even speak to me about the money, I will not reply until I see a new video and a tweet"?? So let's think about that- apparently tmartn has no problem initiating a personal private email offering a bribe (and communicating a threat against his channel), but refuses to continue talking about it in private and will instead be waiting patiently for a public acceptance in the form of some sort of video and tweet? Seriously that contrived scheme would only work in the mind of a 14 year old.

This is a pro-tmartn troll who thinks he's doing good by hatching this plan to publicly humiliate HonorTheCall. It kinda worked too, especially if tmartn proves that's not his email. Speaking of which, it's very easy to fake "@gmail" accounts
I know because... reasons...

They do that so they can post their videos in the "Gaming" category of Youtube even if they aren't completely related to gaming (see Leafy or drama channels).

You could be right, who knows. It was an oversight from honorthecall to include it without explaining verification. With that said, if it is fake its merely a microscopic dent in the overwhelmingly good work having been done so far. Tmartn is a fuckwad either way.

While it's juvenile it wouldn't be surprising if it were actually Martin. I also doubt his audience is the kind to have the smarts to spoof the sender and only a day after the original video (keeping in mind the first video had only a few thousand views before h3h3 covered it which was 4 days later).

The date of that e-mail is June 28th, the day after the first video. It's possible it's real, since it could be some sad attempt by him to get out in front and shut the whole thing down before it blew up. I doubt a random tmartn fan just so happened to catch that video and attempt to make a fake e-mail knowing this would explode on the internet. Though I guess that depends on how many views the video got by that date. Wayback has a snapshot on June 27th indicating 47 views, and the next available snapshot on the 4th of July at 23,000 views. I doubt the 2nd day of that video had enough views to make it seem plausible a fan caught it and immediately jumped to trolling HonorTheCall. Plus the following segment shows tmartn and HtC having a Skype text chat on July 1st about the situation. Unless HtC decided he's gonna now make a bunch of shit up or some insane tmartn fan is out there capable of impersonating him really well, I'm gonna say it's real.

You guys are giving the benefit of a doubt to a guy that has been caught lying multiple times about what is basically a criminal activity like TmarTn?

Huh.

I know it seems odd, but we can't just automatically assume they're guilty of anything that comes up without solid proof, even if they have already proven themselves to be a pathological liar.
To listen and believe is for TmarTn and ProSyndicate fans; I think we're better than that.

Though I do believe that the e-mail is legit, given the logic that Zanzura explains above, and since HtC has a reputation to live up to now and I doubt that he would make a video about this without at least looking into it a bit. The only thing that has me questioning it's authenticity is the question mark icon for the sender, meaning that Google couldn't authenticate the sender; it would be nice if HtC could screencap the message details as well.

Yeah, i agree that its no surprise that Tmartn got the most spotlight. I just mean that its pity that its like this because others did basically the same as he did, but gets much less attention simply because someone was exposed before them.

I get where you are coming from, but come on, that email could so easily be faked it's not even worth debating.

Anyone could have done that to troll HTC.

I also agree that I doubt Tmartn would actually sign his email Tmartn.

So that's what it represented. Looks like the feature was added earlier this year to indicate emails that have been signed by Google vs not. Initially thought it may have been some placeholder graphic.

Taking this with a grain of salt, though it's very stange why a fan would send it given the original video numbers and lack of awareness.

I'd love it to be real, so no. I'm not giving TmarTn the benefit of doubt, I'm doubting HtC's judgement in this case.

I thought being critical of things you hear and see online was a good thing.

e: that said, I'm at work so I haven't watched the whole video. I'll try to remember to watch it when I get home.

Especially when it seems that Phantoml0rd is the biggest piece of shit out of all of them who have been exposed so far; seems like he is getting little attention because he simply stopped posting on every outlet as soon as the news dropped, he isn't even at his residence anymore and there is a source that claims that he may have fled out of the US even, possibly to a country that doesn't extradite.

I also agree that I doubt Tmartn would actually sign his email Tmartn.
We're talking about someone who made a spiffy logo out of their youtube handle, then had that logo etched into the back panel on his customized Jeep.
Doesn't seem like a stretch for him to sign his e-mails using Tmartn.

This happens to 99% of the emails I get from legitimate accounts - was a discussion about it on GAF OT. You wouldn't purposefully Photoshop that shit in.

Also, if the email is fake, HTC is putting all of the work he has done on a fake that can easily be checked legally, destroying him.

Also also, these yum yums running these sites show they have no clue how to keep their shady practices out of easily hackable, archived systems like Skype. They are too dumb to NOT use something with a digital fingerprint. This just continues that trend of using text-based digital fingerprint systems with a non-existent grasp of how that can bite you in the ass.

Considering the above - I'm leaning on HTCs side since the shoe fits.

I handle all my youtube business emails using my youtube name... because nobody knows my real name and I'd rather not have it get out there.

I've seen enough channels getting hacked because some bored kids are social engineering phone companies to clone SIM cards and shit.

Fair enough, I'm willing to jump back to HtC's side on this one.

I mean, it's not a far-fetched thought TmarTn would do something like this anyway.

Im curious as to why he sat on this for so long. I understand the thought process in the beginning as far as him being a smaller channel and being intimidated but all this stuff went radioactive in a matter of mere days. I'm not sure why waiting a whole month was necessary. Surely no one believed Tmartn's apology video anyway but think of the megaton had he released the bribe email after the apology.

I don't get the fake e-mail stuff. He uses tmartn.bizdev@gmail.com as contact on his Twitter account as well as Youtube account.

3 possibilities

1. HTC doctored a fake email by editing the source code of the page and taking a snapshot which is pretty easy to do but highly unlikely coming from him.

2. Someone spoofed tmartin's email to send that threat to HTC but the timing of the whole thing (it was sent before the video went viral) make's it unlikely too, but not impossible.

3. Tmartn is an ass and he did send that email.

I am thinking the email is fake. Not because I believe Tmartn in this, buuuuuuut

There's a red lock icon in that email. The email supposedly came from tmartn.bizdev@gmail.com. Gmail to Gmail email will not have the red icon.

That doesn't mean HTC faked it. But that email isn't legitimate.

Does this look like the face of a guy who would do something like that?

What's the point if anything H3h3"s video has way more Views and he hasn't gotten a bribe, I'm in team fake.

Well, I mean, it would probably be a lot cheaper to bribe a small channel than a large one. Perhaps the logic is that HtC is continuing the fight while H3H3 pretty much said their piece and moved on?

But I need more proof before I believe either way really.

h3h3 is more popular which means he would require a bigger bribe. it'll take a lot to shut someone up who has made it big on youtube as opposed to someone who had like 1000 subs before the scandal

Keep in mind that h3h3 is a much larger youtuber in terms of subscribers. It would have to be a substantial bribe. Since he's so big, it also probably blew up way faster and a takedown would be way too late before everyone sees it.

edit: beaten twice over.

HtC had a much smaller youtube following, which means he would be easy for a big youtuber to bully.

h3h3, however, requires some finesse, which tmartn obviously has none of given the tweet he made after that video went up:
@h3h3productions loved the video man! Would love to speak if you're up for it.

Well shit. Pack it up.

Only thing is now maybe someone spoofed the address, maybe.

Yeah I think GAFers were thinking along the lines of spoofing.

If I'm honest the first thing I thought wasn't is it fake but TmarTn you're a tight bastard. $1,000 for career ending silence when you're a millionaire? Pffft.

lol.

??? What kind of logic is that???

H3H3 contacted HTC after he posted his video, while Tmartn contacted HTC before he posted that video, when he contacted Tmartn about the content of the video.

Of course Tmartn tried to bully HTC not to release the video, before it is uploaded to YouTube and noticed by the big boys.
