Yeah when I got my Destiny LE, it felt really shitty using a the code for just TTK. I wasted the TBD and HoW portions of it and sold the original disc for $5 or something. In hindsight I should have just had someone buy a standalone TTK code and do a 1:1 trade so they could get the whole thing at a good price, but I was so excited to get started playing.

Oh yes, blind is the way to go! I think I may take the day off so as to start earlier and hopefully finish a blind raid for the first time! I was considering starting to get a group together but didn't know if it was too early lol! Would love to run with ya :)

I was originally gonna use it to set up an account for my wife (like she was really gonna play with me ;P )but you don't have to since you can do the primary console trick. I tried to give it to comms who is in the UK but no dice. Then I kinda forgot about it :(

A couple of people have expressed interest in improving their PvP game for / before Rise of Iron.

Here's a quick summary of posts where I've written about PvP. These were initially GAF posts, but I put so much effort into them, I created a site to archive them for reference.
And some advice for deliberate practice:

Play Rumble until:
  • You can get to the top of the scoreboard with only primaries
    Based on my Trials report cards, most weeks the ratio of Primary to Special is on average about ~50%. So don't focus your work on just shotgunning/sniping which is where the flash is. Learn that scout/HC/Pulse/Auto.
  • You can get to the top of the scoreboard with only secondaries
    The an unexpected thing this will teach you is about learning special spawn times and what armor sets to use.
  • Go whole games without dying
    This is huge for Trials. Become as slippery as an eel. Become impossible to kill.
Also, ditch 6s. Rumble or Skirmish.
Also, also, save your matches and watch them. If you're really serious, you'll do this even if it's painful. Even if it's taking away time you could be playing.

I'm no PvP god. Just someone else who is trying to deliberately improve my game.

I play a lot of Crucible but have only completed 3 Trials cards but I'm hoping to get more into it soon.

Man, custom games will be so good. However, it will bring the salt out in people, that is the biggest obstacle to overcome if you want to improve.

I use easy luna and invective on my titan. In some maps, hung jury. Titan is too much fun.

I started doing this around HOW and it helped me improve immensely. Also, playing less actually helped me. I would limit myself to a couple hours at the most.

Honestly, I would love matchmaking for VoG and CE, just because they're so darn fun.

I think someone here mentioned a cool idea that matchmaking could work if the player has already cleared the raid, but would still be locked out to those who haven't, thus trying to ensure that the player knows what to do already. Also, if they take their PvE strike matching algorithm into Nightfall or Raids, that might also be a good way to ensure that your team is up to the task.

Man, if sunsinger is supposed to the survivability build, then other classes must have it rough. Heroic quests and strikes are just respawn → whittle away a few % → respawn → whittle away a few %.

Went through Venus again yesterday for the Heroic quest. I really like the setting with the Vex, but that jumping section and the platform with the Taken Shield Doods that try to knock you off is bullsheeeeeit.

If anyone wants to go on patrol on Venus with me so I can kill a couple Taken champions and finish this stupid quest, that'd be rad. My tag is the same as GAF. I'll be playing for a while longer. Tomorrow is also an option. Level 40 Hunter, XB1.
